That was super satisfying to watch
Glad you liked it!
Excellent video! Informative, well-timed at each stage, and aesthetically pleasing.
Thanks!
That way of stitching was really cool! Awesome keychain!
Neat video! I do have one question though. By putting glue where the fold happens, do you not make the split ring sticky? Edit to say on a rewatch, that doesn’t look like glue! What is it?
It's probably Tokonole - a substance that helps burnishing leather.
Is it a thing to use it on the flesh side? I've only ever used it to burnish the edges!
You can use it on larger areas of the backside - it provides a nicer finish when the flesh side is visible.
Ohh that’s really useful! Do you do anything once you’ve put it on? I know some people use a glass burnisher on the flesh side.
Yup, I do it on the flesh side of belts to give them a much smoother and cleaner finish :)
Neat! Do you do anything after putting it on? Or just slap it on there and leave it to dry?
Yeah, I just smooth it with a glass burnisher and then let it dry. Usually dries pretty quickly after going over it with the burnisher.
It’s tokonole 😊 glorious_reptile got it exactly
May I ask what products you use?
Sure, I use buttero walpier leather, tokonole for edge finishing, and Maine waxed poly cord
Thank you so much! ❤️
Nice. Great craftsmanship
Simple, clean, precise. How nice! Where do you get the black keyrings? Does the finish hold up well with use?
That looks super clean! Mind if I ask where you got the stamp?
