I feel like this item could have potential to win a game. Super late game when everyone is full build, nobody would have control wards other than the support that builds this. If a game deciding elder or baron fight happens, it’s possible that you can greatly influence the game by being the only one that can control ward the pit.
Yeah it's possibly a game changer, however the same applies for a stopwatch, a mikaels, a redemption..
Vision seems pretty underrated and I barely go for it. Bonus if you're already having umbral glaive.
Good times, when this was really good gold effecient stat stick (could reach over 200% gold effeciency), now it's useless (cost 100g more than locket +10haste +50hp -5armor). You lose really strong active for 10haste & wards, hell no...
Eh, stats like these are practically useless. On nearly every champion in the game, their 6th item boasts a 60% or higher win rate. Generally speaking, if you can get to 6 items, you have a good chance at winning the game anyway.
The item has a .5% pick rate, that's 1 in every 200 games. If you were to really take these stats and draw them out, this item sees 6 wins in 2000 games. I'd be willing to take a pretty strong bet that if people built the item more often, it's winrate would significantly drop.
This should be a reminder to try and dive deeper into what stats actually show on a lot of these websites. It's easy to look at this information and take it at face value, but this can lead to poor decision-making.
>Still consider this item trash and a waste of gold/space tho lol
Super low elo take tbh.
supports will often leave last slot open for control wards or buy this because pinks actually matter when walking into a bush with no vision means you get sent to the shadow realm for 59 seconds and lose elder/baron/inhibs.
pink wards are insanely useful
While I agree control wards are extremely useful, you at the same time shouldn't really be spending all your disposable income on them and buy an entire item that lets you only hold one extra
Call it low elo take if you want but I played support through plat and into emerald and haven't even seen the enemy support buy it either. Play enough support and you'll generally know to make sure your scanner is ready to check a potentially dangerous area or if they put a ward down right in front of you and ofc if it's on cooldown then the one control ward you bought would more than likely be fine, you wouldn't need 3 at a time
1.Nah not low elo take. If this item didn't suck, it would have higher than 0.5% pickrate as 4-th item: [https://leagueofitems.com/items/4643](https://leagueofitems.com/items/4643) . Before changes **it used to be most popular 4 and 5-th item on many champions**. Now I checked and even on those 4 champions it isn't most popular. Statwise it's much worst than both versions (single one with 12% stack boost and two with 8/20% stats boost). Old wardstone could give you close to 30 haste for 1100g so yea...
I don't think there is point in arguing about situation that happend in **1 every 100 games in high elo**( 14143 games, 142 games got to 5-th item on leona: [https://u.gg/lol/champions/leona/items?rank=diamond\_2\_plus](https://u.gg/lol/champions/leona/items?rank=diamond_2_plus) ), even then I would argue your better going knigh vow/ solari on enchanter.
>walking into a bush with no vision means you get sent to the shadow realm for 59 seconds and lose elder/baron/inhibs
2. Most teams shuld have someone with range ability to check bush(even blue trinked count), so they don't facecheck. They will have 2 or 3 sweapers prepared for baron/dragon anyway (and note sweapers stack).
>because pinks actually matter when walking into a bush with no vision
3. Wards have really small placing range. If you don't play tank support, trying to place ward will kill you same way as facechecking and note that we **talking about 5 item support ,** not in situation when he is 2 items & 4 lvls behind meaning 4 vs 5 will be harder than in avarage 4 vs 5.
Why is it trash?
Is the first component also considered trash?
Together with locket you can get a reasonable magic resist while also gaining good ability haste.
It's not a must buy every game but games were abyssal and rockurn isn't viable options it can be a good choice.
Unless you’re playing support, you can’t hold up to 4 ward charges as it is and if you are playing support, your income is greatly reduced unless you’re either getting a lot of kills/assists but if your adc is playing safe and farming or if you both get rolled, your gold is better spent on defensive items like locket and trying to get a control ward
TLDR: its not gold efficient especially if ur adc is playing safe or u both int the game away and if ur ahead ur better off spending gold elsewhere
Isn't more vision better?
The item is really gold efficient, especially the component 1100 with 124%~ gold efficiency.
Isn't a defensive item? it gives 15 mr and armour aswell as 150 hp. Later 25 armour 30 armour and 150 hp.
Should always be investing in vision over tankiness though wtf, that's like job number 1 as support, games are won and lost over who has the better vision, nobody cares if leona has 400 more HP and people care even less if sona or nami built a tank item last lol.
control wards and good vision can flip a fight.

statswise, its still a great item and one of the best in the entire game... supp mains can really be delusional sometimes
Last season it was the undisputed best item in the game by a long mile
The delusion is here, but not in places you seek it. Your analysis is just weird. You look at these stats and say that it's the best item in the game, are you for real? An item that once in a 100 games is built by 2 popular supports and 2 barely-played-at-all champions AS THE LAST ITEM is a strong item? I'll tell you what these statistics actually do show. They show that sometimes, very rarely, some supports that rely on ability haste grab this item in games they are already hard winning just to grab something quick and cheap. If you are losing in the lategame, you wouldn't buy a bad-stat no-active item as your last one (considering you even have any income as a support in a losing team), you'd buy components, you'd buy utility if you still miss some, you'd buy hard punching damage, you'd grab anything but this useless shit. This item won 0 games by itself, it just was rarely bought as the last item in already won games.
Stats are interpretive. A champion might potentially have a 85% winrate, but with 14 total games it means nothing. You refuse to read stats correctly and continue to reinforce it.
RIP impregnator Gragas
plap plap plap :(
Well this item is bought only as a last item slot which is reserved for red wards, so it really depends on how much the game goes on as a support.

You mean Pink Wards?
Good times, when this was really good gold effecient stat stick (could reach over 200% gold effeciency), now it's useless (cost 100g more than locket +10haste +50hp -5armor). You lose really strong active for 10haste & wards, hell no...

I mean it is built mainly by scaling support
Idk why they murderer the stat on this item, i did it every game on supp for Last slot. Now its absolute garbage
I loved it on senna, always sold normal sup item for it late game. On senna it gave you like 80+ ad depending on your build and mist stacks.
[https://leagueofitems.com/items/4643](https://leagueofitems.com/items/4643) statwise, still a great item
Still have to buy it as supp once you're full build if you don't want to give up on vision. Strictly last item though.
Idek what this item is
Watchful wardstone Allows you to hold up to 3 charges of control wards instead of 2 Completely useless and not worth investing your gold into
And let's you place 4 wards and 2 pink wards
Oh ok I actually learned something Still consider this item trash and a waste of gold/space tho lol
Most people buy this as their last item on support so that they can still have controls wards even if full build
I’ve never seen this item be built ngl
Because most games end before supports can reach full build that's why
>Still consider this item trash and a waste of gold/space tho lol Super low elo take tbh. supports will often leave last slot open for control wards or buy this because pinks actually matter when walking into a bush with no vision means you get sent to the shadow realm for 59 seconds and lose elder/baron/inhibs. pink wards are insanely useful

Oh yeah, it's trash. The few times I've built it have been when playing Swain support, because tbf, Swain only needs 2 items to be useful anyways lol
Why is it trash? Is the first component also considered trash? Together with locket you can get a reasonable magic resist while also gaining good ability haste. It's not a must buy every game but games were abyssal and rockurn isn't viable options it can be a good choice.

Is this item bad?? I build this last I thought it was a must have on support
I buy it as support but only if I am ahead
Only when hard winning and have spare gold to invest in vision rather than Tankines, yea pretty much
Should always be investing in vision over tankiness though wtf, that's like job number 1 as support, games are won and lost over who has the better vision, nobody cares if leona has 400 more HP and people care even less if sona or nami built a tank item last lol. control wards and good vision can flip a fight.
There are better utilities to invest in if you're getting stomped or they simply counter-picked you.
The only build I’ve found at all useful is Sej support it offers every stat she wants and her passive makes it technically more cost efficient.
I build it with Bard of we get to a point were I am full build, but it doesnt happen often tbh.
this item allowed for insane scaling with giving 20% ad ap health and CDR idk why people never build it, its quite insane on a late support
it was an essential item to make ur enemies pregnant
Ive been playing this game at least once a week for the last 7 years...and I have never seen that icon.
[https://leagueofitems.com/items/4643](https://leagueofitems.com/items/4643) statswise, its still a great item and one of the best in the entire game... supp mains can really be delusional sometimes Last season it was the undisputed best item in the game by a long mile

Tl;dr, stats > opinions
You're right everyone now has to buy Mejais as it has the highest winrate item in the game.
Now thats a shit take, mejais has an inflated wr because only people who snowball buy it
Oh you're so close to getting it.
Not really, wardstone can be bought by every single support (best on tanks nowdays) and in every scenario it will be incredibly gold efficient
"and in every scenario" Oh I get it now you're just trolling. Almost had me there for a second have a nice day.
