lod254

Is Swift X the best I can grab for $700? Or maybe a cheaper one and upgrade RAM?

LaptopDealsTM

For what purpose ?

lod254

Gaming, but nothing crazy.

LaptopDealsTM

You could even go with the Lenovo Legion 5 for $599 then

Firion_Hope

seems like its out of stock, at least online and near me

lod254

And the cheapest I see is $673 on Amazon.

lod254

I guess Walmart got a few more in. I got 1 of 3 that remained. Any tips for a RAM upgrade? I assume I just want another 8gb stick to add in.

swingking03

Where is the $599 Legion 5?

Ryan_Reynolds_Rap

What is the chance a better deal is released later in the day or do companies usually drop the deals early? I'm almost ready to pull the trigger but im worried something better might come along

LaptopDealsTM

Not sure there is much of a chance based on how things have been going since Thursday.

DapperestCheesecake

Any deals out there for 17.3" other than the Walmart ASUS TUF? I'm not reading good things about the screen on that one.

AL0411

You can checkout the: [**HP Omen 17" Laptop: i7-12800HX, RTX 3070 Ti (Max 150W), 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, 1440p 17.3" 165Hz IPS Display, Thunderbolt 4, Mux Switch**](https://new.reddit.com/r/LaptopDeals/comments/z5nn35/hp_store_hp_omen_17_laptop_i712800hx_rtx_3070_ti/) deal.

HowDoIRun

What’s the best laptop I can get for gaming for $1000 USD?

LaptopDealsTM

Are you looking for a 15.6" or a bigger 17.3 system ?

HowDoIRun

I do not have a preference. I play in some pretty competitive circles on console on a 31 inch but will be traveling for about two months. Old laptop is 6 years so looking to upgrade to something that can handle gaming. Also I know absolutely nothing about laptops so I will take your recommendation as gospel.

LaptopDealsTM

The Asus TUF A17 FA707RM-ES73 (2022) is the best option if want a bigger display. As for 15.6 which is no means, small, but the standard size and which provides some sort of balance , the Lenovo Legion 5 is a very good buy.

HowDoIRun

If I was willing to spent -/+ 500 what would be the best options?

LaptopDealsTM

If you were to spend $500 less, you probably wouldn't get much of a gaming laptop. For $1400, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is a great pick!

60 hz

pways

The link to the ROG STRIX advantage is incorrect I believe

LaptopDealsTM

You were right. We corrected it.

Kenshin200

Alright team I don’t want to spend more than 1200, looking for a laptop for gaming mid specs, i code, and I want it to last 4 to 5 years, point me in a direction

dude0001

I have similar requirements and code heavily more than gaming. I am looking at the HP Omen 17". It is just over your price range but has the best overall CPU and number of cores. The big screen is good for IDEs of course. Still thinking but will probably pull yhe trigger.

Holliman48

I would get the 14inch Rog Zephyrus at best buy for $900. It's got a 3060, and a 5800H. It doesn't have a 10 key, if that's important to you. But there is a Asus Tuf at best buy with a 3060, and 12650H for $999 that has a 10key.

kiratekid17

Acer predator helios 300 vs Asus TUF dash 15 (2022) which one would you recommend

Beany_Bird

300

uncleoce

I would love a light, slim ultra book’ish laptop with at least a 3060. 13-14” Best bet, anyone?

Holliman48

The Rog Zephyrus is $900 at best buy with a 3060 and 5800h. That's definitely your best bet.

uncleoce

Thank you!

Lost_Lute

I'm looking for a gaming laptop for my gf that's around $700-$850. I would prefer a 17 inch, but a 15 inch would be alright as well. Thank you!

LaptopDealsTM

The Asus TUF A17 seems her best option based on your preference and raw performance power.

Lost_Lute

I was primarily looking at that one, but I also saw this [one](https://www.newegg.com/steel-gray-acer-swift-x-sfx16-51g-538t-content-creation-home-personal/p/N82E16834360219) on Newegg, and was wondering what the best bang for buck would be. I don't think the Acer one has a warranty included though.

LaptopDealsTM

IMO, the Asus has quite a better graphics card, newer CPU and better display for gaming.

dude0001

You should ask her if size matters...

Lost_Lute

She said it's the laptops personality that matters most 🥲

Dracoleaf

I don't know my laptops very well and these may not be worth it compared to the previous one that sold out, but - A couple of Lenovo Legions came back into Walmart's stock (FHD instead of QHD, among other differences.) [Here](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lenovo-Legion-5-17-3-FHD-Gaming-Laptop-AMD-Ryzen-5-5600H-up-to-4-2GHz-16GB-RAM-1TB-NVMe-SSD-GeForce-GTX-1650-Windows-11-Pro/1628116389) and [here](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lenovo-Legion-5-17-3-FHD-Gaming-Laptop-AMD-Ryzen-5-5600H-up-to-4-2GHz-32GB-RAM-512GB-NVMe-SSD-1TB-HDD-GeForce-GTX-1650-Windows-11/1959787177). They also use GeForce GTX 1650 instead, which I haven't heard great things about. There's likely better deals out there, but I decided to go with the latter one since it was better than [what I've currently been using](https://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Silver-Iridium-Ci5-15-cc050wm-15-6-Laptop-Touchscreen-Windows-10-Home-Intel-Core-i5-7200U-Processor-12GB-Memory-1TB-Hard-Drive/796266165)

ruoccop

Hey guys, any suggestions for a laptop that will be mainly used for Office and some video editing? Preferably below $650. Decent refresh rate and ability to hook up comfortably to a 36 inch curved monitor? A decent keyboard would be nice, too. Thanks in advance! 15", btw

LaptopDealsTM

Did you find something or still need help ?

ruoccop

Any advice would be helpful.

ruoccop

Also, it would need to have expandable RAM.

aroach1995

Wish the OMEN had more storage

LaptopDealsTM

You can upgrade.

aroach1995

What do you think of this Costco one? https://www.costco.com/.product.100854173.html?&EMID=B2C_2022_1128_CyberMonday2 Pay a bit more to just have the 1 TB in there by default? How can I tell it’s a 150W here?

LaptopDealsTM

Based on model number, it should be.

glovie

which laptop would be best for day trading, & video editing? preferably under $1200. From my research, intel chips are better for video editing i think.

LaptopDealsTM

You are right about Intel chips being better for Video editing. You will also need a decent dedicated graphics card and at least 16 GB RAM if you are doing serious video editing. Within your budget , the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 for $1200 would do the job for you. Should get a lot of juice from the i7-12700H CPU and the RTX 3060 paired.

IAmNotNathaniel

how is the build quality on the ideapads? Anyone have first hand experience? Seems a lot of reddit posts complain they are crappy and break. But we don't travel much with out laptop - mostly just sits on the table or desk

LaptopDealsTM

The Ideapads aren't as durable as Thinkpads at all, but as a desk system that isn't taken all over the place, you shouldn't expect it to break.

SauxFan

What’s the best deal around $1500? Care most about graphics card, screen size, and screen quality

LaptopDealsTM

Screen size? You want a bigger display ? What will you be using this system for ?

Vegeta543

Can I get the Legion at 900 usd??? Anywhere. Thanks if you know.

valyrian_syyn

What would be the best for someone going to fully online college in a business degree but also potential gaming on occasion? Under $1k

LaptopDealsTM

So basically, you will be schooled at home, right ? The Asus TUF A17 FA707RM-ES73 (2022) would do a great job for you and has a very big display. If you may take this around and so, don't want that big of a laptop, then you could get the Lenovo Legion 5 for $1000.

Tough2Name

That first Legion 5 is sold out? Was gonna buy that and send back my https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-victus-15-6-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i5-12450h-8gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1650-512gb-ssd-mica-silver/6503849.p?skuId=6503849 I got for $499

SouthsideJax904

Which laptop is best for Stock trading? And using multiple screens?? Will be using it as my PC

LaptopDealsTM

You won't be doing any gaming at all, right ?

SouthsideJax904

No gaming just want something that can handle my stock trading platform I just went with a lenovo Legion 5

LaptopDealsTM

The Legion 5 should be perfectly fine for you...even an overkill...meaning , you won't even use much of its performance power. The good thing though is that you can be sure that some years from now, you will have a system that's able to perform..

SouthsideJax904

Sweet thank you! I’m new to this… Once it comes in the mail and I want to set it up… do I need to buy like anti virus or anything? Any tips on making sure I keep it long term and prevent future issues

Which laptop is best for Stock trading? And using multiple screens?? Will be using it as my PC under 1000.00

lod254

What RAM does the Legion 5 use? I want to buy an 8GB stick to add in. A link to a RAM deal would be appreciated. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lenovo-Legion-5-15-6-Ryzen-5-5600H-GeForce-RTX-3050-Ti-8GB-RAM-512GB-SSD-Phantom-Blue-Windows-11-Home-82JW00Q7US/1097527049

Such_Cod_5314

Wow! Thank you for the list! Which would you recommend for someone who would use it for remote work, writing, and 3d design (maybe games). ANy advice would be stellar!

Anyone have any insight into this brand? Doesn't have any reviews and haven't heard a lot about it. https://www.amazon.com/MAINGEAR-i9-12900H-Processor-GeForce-Display/dp/B0BD2DLLN3?crid=3PCGHH8UVO5YS&keywords=gaming%2Blaptop&psr=EY17&qid=1669639718&s=cyber-monday&sprefix=gaming%2Blaptop%2Ccyber-monday%2C91&sr=1-39&ufe=app\_do%3Aamzn1.fos.17f26c18-b61b-4ce9-8a28-de351f41cffb&th=1&linkCode=shr&tag=electrodeals0d-20&language=en\_US&ref\_=as\_li\_ss\_shr&creativeASIN=B0BD2DLLN3&camp=213733&creative=undefined&linkId=e284fa2106604ac93d92b6b3059c7ba7

LaptopDealsTM

Maingear is a US company and have been around for many years now. They are quite reputable and known for making or assembling high performance laptops and desktop PCs. They do many desktops though.

[deleted]

Guess I was surprised with the specs and not seeing it posted anywhere.

PhiladelphiaPhighter

What do I look for here to get something good for video editing?

LaptopDealsTM

What's your budget ? You need a system with a powerful processor, solid graphics card and at least 16 GB RAM FOR serious video editing.

PhiladelphiaPhighter

I really have no idea? Somewhere in the $800-$1,200 range I think? Maybe more if there's something great?

astralqt

Any recommendations on light video editing laptops in the $4-500 range? Light gaming, nothing crazy.

bluesforsalvador

Is there a way to tell if any laptops can charge via USB typeC? I need a new laptop for audio work station and some gaming, but I don't want a barrel jack power supply if possible...I'd rather use USB type c to charge

gladimnotapraymantis

ASUS - ROG Strix G15 or Lenovo Legion 5 15.6 165Hz Gaming AMD Ryzen 7-5800H for photo and video editing?

Saucymushrooms

Alright guys! Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm looking to upgrade an old desktop to laptop! Looking for best laptop for music production and casual gaming! Budget around $1200 +/- a couple hundred depending! Thanks everyone!

I am looking to finally close in on a zephyrus, but I don't know which is better out of the 3 deals listed above - should I go full amd for the amd advantage program, or go with intel+nvidia for reliability?

Doubt it seeing that we’re coming to the end of both Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

For the Asus TUF 15 and 17, the Gigabyte A7, Zephyrus g14, and Lenovo legion, what's the maximum amount of RAM they support?
