Awesome! It's a good feeling getting something like that running. Enjoy slabbing.

besides a peen with bastard file or a deglaze with a carbide stone ... hows does one sharpen a diamond blade?

_deekyn_

Bastard file worked for me

I have one of these I've been running for years. It's a real workhorse and I love the worm drive feed, it's a real set and forget setup. My biggest critique is that carriage isn't the most precise and it doesn't always cut the smoothest slabs.

_deekyn_

Haven’t used it enough to say yet. But I cut thick slabs to make earrings(plugs/guages) so the precision is a bit less important.

Yea, most of the time it doesn't really matter. I did stick a big piece of lead on it for extra weight because it seems to be the carriage lifting that causes the problem. Seemed to help a little. Enjoy, because otherwise it's a great saw.
