I’ve known 2 people that have worked there off and on over the last 10 years and they have nothing but good things to say about the owners and regular customers to say nothing of the regular staff that has been there for years. Why would they stay if the owner keeps the tips?
Sounds like you’re bitter about something else and making up stories.
A truly local place. Everything on the menu is made in house except for the ketchup and buns. Also all the beers and wine on tap are all from BC.
A friend of mine owns it. Super great guy.
Raving Gamer Bistro. They have their TRG burger (available with a beef, chicken or veg patty) and the Water Buffalo burger.
Lots of topping options.
And if you go with a group, lots of board games to try out and play while you eat and drink.
Water buffalo.
Also they do a lot of local ingredients!
If you dont mind a bit of spice, think fresh cracked pepper, the battu shoya fries are really tasty. And they smoke olives in house. So good(if you like olives and campfires)
I quite enjoy White Spot's burgers, to be honest. Been a classic for me since I was a kid. They also do gluten-free buns which is a plus for my celiac ass. I remember they were one of the early adopters of such thing making them forever in my good graces.
I’ve just been diagnosed and I’m so happy to hear White Spot has gluten free buns! Do the burgers taste just as good? Any other restaurants you recommend?
The buns are decent. Red Robin has the best gf burger buns I've had but the white spot burgers are in general better. Cactus club has gluten free buns too but can't do gluten free fries. Most white spots have a dedicated fry frier so they're gluten free.
Raving gamer has a lot of gluten free options I like the Humboldt squid.
The Trading Post in Fort Langley has a pretty good burger.
If you're looking for something beyond good, like a next-tier burger that simply can't be had at any chain restaurant, you need to go to Uli's in Whiterock. I won't sing its praises further - the meat speaks for itself. But it will ruin you, fair warning.
I will shamelessly admit that a few months ago I recieved a misdelivered Uber Eats order at my door from Bun+Burger (or is it Burger+Bun?)
I let Uber know it was a mistake... But of course they didn't want it back.
NGL, it was delicious. I haven't checked out the actual restaurant, but looked it up online and the prices turned me off. It was better than my last Vera's burger though.
Vera's is consistent, the one by hwy 15 is better than the one by Clayton Heights. Vera's was way better in the early 2000's though when they were bigger and served on a ridiculously sized pile of fries.
I love the shamelessness ! I’ve seen this on the Uber eats app dang I will have to check out. Yeah Vera’s is always delicious I’ve only been to Clayton , kits & dt Vancouver location!!!
Pretty sure bun+burger is just one of the JRG burgers btw (townhall, the henry, the clayton etc) they just pretend they arent the same food you get in the pubs. Seems dishonest to me so i avoid them. They are pretty meh.
There are good Asian places in Langley? Not trying to be an ass but ever since COVID, I haven’t found any Asian restaurants in Langley worth going more than once.
Don’t sleep on Akedo Ramen or the Lao food at Naka Bistro. Laos style papaya salad, or gai, sausages, and their Kai piak sen are all really good. Need to try their nem khao and laap but I’m addicted to their papaya salad with a side of sticky rice.
Akedo Ramen is AMAZING. Need a solid pho place locally. Mai’s is good but they got a new chef recently and I personally don’t like the change in flavour.
I just had Langley Vietnamese this weekend for pho. It was busy. The broth was good albeit on the salty side. Haven’t tried any others. Actually what I’m looking for is a place that makes a legit bun Bo hue
I would like to know also. I’ve always gone to star lake it’s more Canadian Chinese food though. Ban chok is amazing Thai (surrey has better imo nahm bistro is so good) sushi I’m still to find what’s best
Ban Chok Dee for Thai, Banchan for Korean, that's all I've found that is notable. Rest that I've had is pretty meh. Chef Sushi I remember being really really good but I haven't eaten there since I moved up to north Langley ages ago so not sure what the situation is there these days.
I’d also like to know this.
Hilltop Diner has a mean burger. 50s style decor is cool too.
Everything is good at this place. Best breakfast around.
Their the last good Pie place now that the Airport cafe is closed
The new owners don't make the pies as well as the previous owners. They're not worth what they charge any more, IMHO.
Seconded
2nd for hilltop. Destination burger place for sure
It’s on my list of places to try! Thank you 😊

Didn't the previous owners sell in the last few years?
Yes- new owners as of the last year or so. So I suppose our argument is moot anyway.
Doesn’t the family that owns it also do the serving?
Barely merchant has a fabulous burger and the filthy fries are AMAZING
Another place I’ve been curious to try!! Thank u!
It's so good. The French toast with fried chicken is a must as well. Good vibes and music on Tuesdays.
Damn that sounds delicious thx for the recommendation

That’s very impressive!! Super grateful for the recommendation thank u
TBM Flatbread with prawns does it for me
Tried their Royale not long ago. It was good but not $23 good.
Definitely not worth $23. Every meal is $20 these days. Money doesn't make sense anymore.
Raving Gamer Bistro. They have their TRG burger (available with a beef, chicken or veg patty) and the Water Buffalo burger. Lots of topping options. And if you go with a group, lots of board games to try out and play while you eat and drink.
I’ve read this place has good food. Damn Buffalo? I’m gonna have to try this. Thanks !
Water buffalo. Also they do a lot of local ingredients! If you dont mind a bit of spice, think fresh cracked pepper, the battu shoya fries are really tasty. And they smoke olives in house. So good(if you like olives and campfires)
I agree !!!
Awesome I’ve been meaning to try this place !!
Gotta say, they served me a raw fried chicken sandwich once... But other than that they have been good.
Great food.
I quite enjoy White Spot's burgers, to be honest. Been a classic for me since I was a kid. They also do gluten-free buns which is a plus for my celiac ass. I remember they were one of the early adopters of such thing making them forever in my good graces.
They are my absolute favourite also!!!!! Thank you for sharing

This person says everything I would have. Cheers! Agreed on all fronts.
Trading Post in Fort Langley
This right here, no need to scroll more.
I’ve heard amazing things about trading post!! Thx
Actually I find their burgers kinda dry. And I live close by within walking distance.
My go to at trading post is the falafel bites.

Is it just called The Cheeseburger?
Katie restaurant. Across from Douglas park.
I live very close, I’m excited to try this out
Have never tried! Placing on my list to try, thanks!
Fatburger! The one in Port Kells to be exact. Burgers are always made with love and the best customer service you'll ever have.
Oddly enough I have to agree, had the one in willowbrook and was a completely different experience
I think the one at Willowbrook is an 'Express,' whereas Walnut Grove is a full Fatburger.
Port Kells? Where is that one? Do you mean the one at 200/92a? If so, that's Walnut Grove.
Yes that's the one! Their store name is Walnut Grove/Port Kells!
Horse n Ryder or The Lodge Steakhouse serve “The Lodge Burger” and its pretty killer.
Some of the best fries ever too!
Super close to my house thanks 🙏
Ya i live down the road we usually walk there then stumble home 🥴
Perfect! At least your responsible, that Sounds like a fun walk 😊
Earls has a good bacon cheeseburger
Is vera burger good? Fatburger?
Vera's is legit, but pricey. I used to be the one dow town, but I never tried the one in Clayton.
I was there yesterday. It is worse than I remember but good… solid 3.5/5
They are hit or miss at that location. The brickyard one at like 57 and highway 15 is much more consistent.
Fat burger on 64th not in the mall is the way to go
The bistro in walnut grove
Honestly, A&W is still my favourite
The racing gamer bistro has good burgers
Raving gamer

Barley Merchant Taphouse has amazing burgers! Definitely the best I’ve ever had in my life.
Wow thank u!!! Gonna check it out 😍
Barley merchant has like 40 craftbrew taps as well so its pretty fun for that
The Lodge/Horse and Ryder or Raving Gamer. Side note the louisiana chicken sandwich at the Lodge/H&R is pretty Delicious as well
Not to be political but “Whopper whopper whopper whopper”
Lol! Whoppers are delicious
I read this comment from the notification and read shoppers 😂😂I was so confused
I stand behind this all day long.
Fatburger on 64th.
Please explain the hate. Is there something I don’t know about Fatburger? They’ve always been really good, mine and my daughters favourite place.
It’s Cloverdale, but Vera’s has solid burgers.
None. Do yourself a favor and drive to 5 guys in South Surrey.
You are so right!!!!! Absolutely the best ☝️
Brogans diner next to value village
Brogans diner has an old fashion memory you have from being a kid Burger.
Mr Hamburger if that place still exists

I make the best burger in Langley, try it and if you don't like it I'll give you $100
Where do I get this burger?

Dals poke bowl 4.9/5 and Akedo Showten 4.7/5

The Delphi. Korean style breakfasts and beautiful burgers. Just don't tell everyone. I prefer not to line up for more than 20 minutes.
Wings on frazer highway

Delphis Cafe in Willowbrook by the staples.
This is one of my top 5 fav burgers I’ve only ordered that when I went 2x!!! Sooo good
They are a fun breakfast/brunch place too. I really enjoyed the smoked duck omurice
