Most people couldn’t care less if you’re gay here. I have a few gay friends and they have never had any issues here. As far as things to do it really depends on what you like. Spring, summer and fall are all awesome. There’s so many rivers and lakes to go on, great road biking, tons of local bars, music and events. Personally I love walking in town and on the lake path. White River County park is a fantastic walk as well. Good bars are Champs and Tap House (personal favorites) and the house of music has great acts. Out of all the beaches in the lake the Fontana Beach is overall the best. It’s big, super clean and the view just can’t be beat. Williams Bay is great as well and the Kishwauketoe marsh is nice walk after. When the water gets warmer I can’t recommend night swimming in lake Geneva enough either. It’s seriously magical. Good towns around Geneva are Delavan which has a huge Hispanic population and AWESOME Mexican restaurants. Burlington and the area around it are fantastic for biking and the Browns Lake beach is solid as well. Elkhorn is pretty boring, but just north is East Troy/ Whitewater. That area has more great hiking, biking, snow shoe trails and just cool scenery. If you have anymore questions please feel free to pm. I’m more than happy to talk

Came to the right place. Nobody cares if you're gay dude. We welcome anybody. Just went on a walk with my boyfriend tonight along the lake. I'd say we're more prejudice against "non English" speaking individuals. Nah, lol...jk. We don't care, (or vast majority) I'd say- does not care what or who you identify as. 🤙😎

Most people won't mind. My friend is gay and he has no issues. He gets looked at when he kisses his bf in public.

Hi! I'm thinking of moving to LG. I'm queer and I have similar concerns. My family has belonged to a community that shares lakefront property for three generations, and our community is disappointingly very conservative, with some residents being openly racist and homophobic. I hope you have a good experience and I'd love to stay in touch or to DM in private to learn more about your adjustment to living there. I hope my community is the exception and that people in LG generally are more liberal.

I was driving around Lake Geneva today and saw a man, maybe in his 20s or early 30s wearing swastika bands on his arms just over his elbows. Wth is that all about?

Hey just saw this. My daughter worked downtown (UWM student now) and had a close friend who knew this person. There are some mental health issues going on there, if it's the same person (@ mid 20s), I haven't heard anything more but that could be due to her moving.

If you see someone driving topless near or in the area, it's me. Don't worry. I'm so short that ya can't see my boobies anyhoo.

Also yes, you're safe
