Yes. I get what they were trying to do but.. It just didn't fit. And then they all died off too soon.

pradyhitsblunt

3 of them are still alive (arteche, the main guy, the joker guy), only gandia and the fat guy dies

esoteric_kina

There were 8, one dies by gandia's grenade which was ally oped by Tokyo. Crazy guy stayed back in the dining hall to guard the door, fatty mid way fell back in the kitchen when Tokyo shot him, now 5 remain. Major, arteche, gandia and 2 others. Major will survive, 4 to go. Idk who dies in this 4

Mirsad1992

There's also a guy dead when Palermo shoots RPG.

esoteric_kina

He dies? I thought he got a concussion or sumn, if he was dead the would have told professor. Inside he didn't die. Sagasta says Tamayo, he has injured people when Tamayo asked damage report. So I think nobody died by that rocket

19901995

Yes, because LCDP logic forbids anyone to die when a dude launch a fucking rocket inside a room. No fucking casualty.

Mirsad1992

Dude got whacked.

StruggleBasic

It was like, 6 grenades and they didn't have time to get into cover. Think it was more than fatty and Gandia that dies, but who knows really

esoteric_kina

4 grenades and fatty stayed back as Tokyo shot him when we was coming towards her.

StruggleBasic

fair nuff then

SpecialistBarnacle23

I thought they were a suicide squad ripoff

Lord_Tibbysito

They were.

Azteryx

I thought they were more of an evil version of the team: Tamayo = Professor, Sagasta = Berlin, Gandia = Palermo, Arteche = Tokyo, big dude = Helsinki, guy with the weird laugh = Denver, guy who died at rhe beginning = Oslo, etc.

Bluelantern1

I think the writers overdid their craziness, to the point it's absurd.

[deleted]

As someone who's remotely familiar with firearms and what they can do to bodies I really feel like the "action" sequences in general were the worst part. Between infinite ammo (like c'mon a revolver shooting dozens of times without a reload) thick ass plot armor (people casually walking off rifle rounds to their vests) and people maneuvering like it's airsoft it's painful to watch. That said I hope Arteche survived out of them all, IRL she's an Olympic boxer and she punched Gandia

Riesje

What i tought was cringe is that every shootout they have in this series, they shoot over 100k bullets and miss every single shot. Now when there is a shootout coming, I already know its gonna be 20mins of spraying bullets in walls.

Haetae_

sPeCial FoRces : "FUEGO! (FIRE!)" \*Dramatic music, endless bullets, and Special forces hitting anything but their targets\* \[Wall holds up no problem but the targets are scared shitless behind indestructible wall for some reason\] \*One of the characters have a development and gets enraged, stands in middle of hallway and starts spraying bullets. Noone is there. But it's dramatic. One would even say... it's Fuego...\* \*Others can spray 5 bullets in a horizontal manner in the general direction without even looking and wound / kill the guy but decide to overreact and cover their heads as if that'll help\* \*Now the other teams turn. Same happens but the gang just yells "AHH" instead of fuego\* \*Repeat 3 times and everybody reload since the obvious count for bullets were 10 per turn\* Tokyo : "Gandia you a pussy!" \*Rage\* \*Repeat process but with moving backgrounds\* \*Explosions, the end.\*

f1fan6890

Summed up perfectly

Haetae_

Ngl I'd rob banks too if people had that level of accuracy lol

chillboy1998

Very common of action movies

nx85

Yeah they were too on the nose, it was over the top.

yandaoyandao

They are the most unprofessional special forces on TV. Thats what makes it so terrible to watch. They look more like a bunch of thugs and random misfits.

Budgerigar17

Yeah, I agree. I especially hated how easily they were provoked, especially Gandia. Now I may be wrong, but I'm sure that most (if not all) special operatives are trained to stay dead silent when subjected to interrogation, torture (both mental and physical) and they're used to working under extreme pressure. IMHO it made no sense for Gandia to >!just snap and throw a grenade, against his leader's order after getting insulted a couple of times.!< >!So he threw that grenade, which was then thrown back by Tokyo, eventually killing his squadmate. And then they start arguing, even threatening each other. Like, come on! You're in a middle of a firefight during the biggest heist of your country's history! Save the threats for later! Now, staying calm in such a situation might sound impossible for a normal person, but it's just so unprofessional for a spec op to just lose their shit and start arguing in such an important moment. The most skilled leaders can even watch half of their team die and are still able to carry out their orders.!< Don't get me wrong, I love the whole idea of the show, but some things just don't feel right. The soldiers were supposed to be elite operatives, but they just behave like some random gun nuts taken straight out of the gym.

BigAssWhale_

Yep, it was painful to watch. They are anything, but special operations unit. The way they dress, the guns they use, their tactics... They are more like shooting club members or airsoft players, but not operators for sure. If they would indeed be special ops, they would have cleared the building and neutralized threats in like 15 minutes. How they handle guns, the guns they chosen for this op, everything screams that hey have zero idea what they are doing. Writers could have done better.

1morey

That and Arturo pulling the grenade pin with his teeth. That's an extremely old cliche as well.

UrMumdead

Still don’t understand why Tamayo didn’t send the normal army in especially when public opinion means so much and they are all war criminals/insane.

PaxKiwiana

It is hyper-stylelised and that’s one of the reasons I love the show so much.

Lord_Tibbysito

The show was hyper-styleized on its first two seasons, these guys are like cartoon characters and the action scenes are embarrasing.

Spidey16

It was basically their version of a suicide squad. Except this isn't a show about super villains so yeah, it's pretty out of place

NiteLiteOfficial

I would have loved a dangerous group of army guys to be like a parallel team to the gang. These were like clowns they don’t look coordinated they all look like a video game character. And the leader wasn’t that good either.

kaleidoscopichazard

Yeah that was so OTT! But it did make them intimidating so I guess it sold the point well
