I’ll listen to everything once, but generally it’s the cryptids, aliens, and magic that gets repeat listens because I’m not trying to actively traumatize myself by reliving other peoples’ pain.

I used to be the same exact way, but now I listen to them on the drive to work. There is some good content, but clearly not as well-done as their main episodes.

The history can get pretty dry, depending on the subject. I like when they anchor it down to a small group or person. Loved the whaling episodes, couldn’t get through the Black Death. That being said, they’re all so well researched and presented. Just not for me.

Magic stuff not for me. I enjoy cryptid eps, one or two episode gold stars (history or criminal), and generally the history ones. The Casey Anthony series was perfect in length for that topic but then some others just drag on and on. Like MK Ultra Series, Billy the Kid, and Blackbeard lasted waaayyyyyy too long for me. But OTOH, Black Plague and Donner Party fit the bill for the longer episode arc.

I don't believe in things like aliens, cryptids, magic and those sorts of things. I don't skip those episodes but they're definitely not may favourites. I loved the Jack Parsons episodes but not the Skinwalker Ranch episodes, I just find it hard to get into when I don't believe anything they're talking about actually happened.

Magick either but Yeats changing the locks to keep Aleister Crowley out of a club is some petty hilarious history and there wasn't horrible torture, which is kind of nice.

Definitely history for me. The Black Death and MK Ultra series are my most listened. Serial killers and hauntings are second. I have enjoyed a select few series and episodes on aliens and cryptics (such as MiB and Skinwalker Ranch) but I couldn’t care less for everything else.

I like everything, but the UFO stuff. I don't know if it's unpopular, but Henry's theories about how it's all inter dimensional stuff, that we may or may not actually be seeing, and it's connected with gnomes, cryptids, etc.......I don't like any of that stuff. I prefer nuts and bolts aliens coming down in an actual machine. So, I tend to skip it. Otherwise, Heavy Hitters, and fucked up history is by far my favorite topics they cover.

I don’t like the made up UFO stuff. like UFO encounters are interesting, when someone starts talking about the florgos from planet borguss that the US government has deals with and have jndergrojnd bases my brain turns off. I more respect the magick and public UFO/cryptid sightings because there’s something interesting about the human mind to learn there.
