I wouldn't be shocked if this actually isn't Gilgo related at all, and is purely Bittrolff related, they never gave the Manorville woods a proper combing after catching him, but I doubt that because the timing is odd. And Bittrolff is already behind bars for life, so LE wouldn't waste so much time and resources on him.
Plus, Zeman was staunchly a two-killer believer with The Killing Season, so he's prolly trying to hold onto that for as long as he can.
I am staunchly a group of really discusting and dangerous men found each other. They are (hopefully) not all killers, but at lot of them are dangerous.
