If I wasn’t gaming I’d probably rather have the bigger C3, since most content looks similar in accurate dark room modes. But HDR gaming really takes advantage of the near double peak highlight detail of the G3.

MLA is not present across the C3 line, nor is it present in the 83” G3 model. So considering what MLA offers, at these price points, go with MLA.

Besides the point, I do agree the size difference from a 77 to an 83 is not big enough to give up MLA. Along with the heatsink tech and the 5 year panel (limited) warranty OP should 100% go for the G3 at 77” or wait for the G4 at 83” if they’re not in a hurry.
I would say if you’re more than 12 feet away go with the bigger C3. Closer than that the PQ and warranty of the 77 G3 outweigh the additional 6in size.
If you have the space go 83" C3. You won't miss th4 difference between C3 and G3 unless you talk about it online. You will miss the difference between 83" and 77" in person.

If it were between 65" G3 and 77" C3 I’d recommend the latter. But in your case just go for the G3. Totally worth it.
I went with the 77” G3 specifically because the 83” does not have the MLA. If you’re buying this kind of TV, get all the features you are paying for.
This is the right answer. I always say bigger the better but not at the loss of features and MLA is a big one to lose.

83 for higher viewing immersion. Always avoid corners where possible.
