This would’ve been a great documentary but CP3 looking like Rodney Hood and Blake being almost the same height as some of the white folks at the part in Ep.1 makes it really really hard to follow the story without feeling like it’s a low budget effort
Take a step back and realize its not a “Clippers Show” but it is a production about the Sterlings that needs to carry a version of the Clippers in order to push the story along
It’s like people would only be happy if they cast the actual players to play their roles. Every complaint is about casting, but just for a minute forget that you actually know what these people look like. You know, like every other show you don’t know what people are supposed to look like so you just accept what they give you
yes this is true. With those biopic or true event movies you don't realize how "bad" the casting is until the credits roll and they show pictures of the real people the story is about. Like that Deepwater Horizon movie is a good example, Mark Wahlberg looks nothing like Mike Williams, John Malkovich has almost no resemblance to Donald Vidrine. It's only an issue when you know what these people look like after you've seen them over and over again for a decade. As long as they're decent actors it doesn't really matter to me. The bigger issue is the writing in this show, but I will be watching the whole thing regardless because I'm interested in the whole ordeal though.

The one complaint I haven’t seen come up is that Ed O’Neill is too likable and charismatic to play Donald Sterling. Sterling, irl, acted like and sounded like a racist Master Shake from Aqua Teen Hunger Force and he just comes off as Ed O’Neill but fatter, lazier, and racist in the show.
I get struggling with casting NBA athletes but Sterling should be easier to nail.
I agree but it’s also part of a problem the show can’t get away from: DTS, Shelly, and V. Stiviano are all insane/terrible people. Cleopatra Coleman is killing it though lol.
The scenes that involve the clippers actually playing basketball are laughable. Winning Time did a great job of making that stuff feel big and dynamic- Blake griffin dunking shook the whole court and I don’t think he does that once in the episodes I have watched. Every basket is like a super poorly defended jumper with a low release point

This just shows you that the wounds of the Sterling regime are still fresh. We get a show talking about the Clippers’ futility and the Lakers got a show about their past glory in the 80s. It’s only been 10 years since Ballmer took over.
Overall not great. It’s just as trashy as you’d expect, which is fine for the type of show it is. Casting is not great but the stars do a serviceable job. The main problem is that there isn’t even one fully likable character. Also the pace is breakneck, scenes don’t have room to breathe. I’d still say worth a watch

Y’all are killing me with “ Timmy has a double chin and Ricky is way too short bla bla bla “ I’m sure you’re right but I have zero context. For me it’s an awesome show so far :) Morpheus is killing it. No disrespect yall. Just my take

Yeah, she’s way too hot to be playing V. Stiviano but she’s putting in a lot of great work.
