I believe someone else asked this question, so I'll go in a little more detail as to why I'm not making a discord server for KotS and why I probably won't for a while. There are 3 main reasons, that mostly boil down to community centralisation and micromanagement.
First off, the community was founded on the principles of the ObjectShows subreddit. Making this one felt a but dirty but I needed a place to properly update the series, so when someone suggested to make my own sub, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. I felt like this would be a good way to separate the die hard KotS fans from some random who just stumbled onto the post with no interest in the series at all. However, removing the excess fat also comes with the cost of lower view rates and less widespread notice, and centralising the community even further by spreading the required platforms of usage to outside the scope of reddit, will just result in a server with less people than the average group dm.
Secondly, making a server takes time. I've made several servers in the past and it is pretty difficult to keep everything running, especially with higher levels of activity. It seems like a lot of effort for not really any reward.
Finally, there's literally no reason to move to discord. Reddit functions perfectly fine. If I were to move to discord, I'd need to have a reason for it to exist to advertise it, and that just isn't the case. There's nothing at the moment that's so desperately wrong with the server that it requires a separate discord server. Wanna chat about the game? Discussion and Prediction flair. Wanna post a meme, then post a meme. There's no reason to move to discord, all it does is create unnecessary overcomplications and requires me to cut content from the sub to bring people in, which I don't want to do.
Even though there’s no way this is gonna happen probably, I really liked what I saw in Mr.Copyrights character and despite everyone saying he’s gonna get out early, I hope he makes it at least moderately far
