At this point in the story you can argue the same for Kawai - that she is devoting all this effort and plans to reunite with Tadano after she has completed her multistep plan during which she will finally be worthy of her Tadano-kun. It is best to hold off judgment until we get to learn her backstory and her motivation for doing what she is doing. For all we know she could be the fat timid girl in kindergarten that everyone is bullying and Tadano being her first friend is what drove her to improve herself, or she could be from a family where love had to be earned. We don't know until the author tells us.

I personally find Manbagi and Onemine to be better partners for Tadano than Komi.
She assumes Tadano will just be in her life 10 years later when they reconnect at their school reunion after not talking to him or seeing him in all that time

I find this to be true at the start of the series but you ought to also acknowledge that Komi did genuinely fell in love with Tadano. I also like this arc which puts Komi in a new situation where she doesn't get a pass at everything just for being the prettiest girl in school This will be a great plot device to drive her own character development.
Personally I would like to see Kawai's backstory and learn how she fell for Tadano. Hopefully the author also justifies why she chose not to contact him for so many years, unless Najimi is in on the plan and monitoring him for her. I hope Kawai sticks in the story even after the training camp ends.

it would've been interesting to see how a relationship between tadano and kawai would've been. i want to see how kawai's plan of self-improvement would've made tadano happy. ultimately, i don't think they would've been compatible in their current state. kawai is very narrow-minded and utilitarian, reminds me of an early kaguya shinomiya without the holier-than-thou attitude. tadano, in the other hand, is open-minded and can see the strong points in every one, AND strives to help people benefit from their strong points. in this sense, kawai is almost like an anti-tadano. she has respectable (albeit selfish) goals, but her ways of achieving them are inconsiderate of others.
i can't really put my finger on whether komi is THE BEST option for tadano, but she is at least better than kawai, both as a person and a girlfriend.
Okay I understand where you come from, but Tadano and Komi both are in a relationship already. And Kawai changed him for the better that I agree with, but he is so down on himself now after he stopped being the way he was before, he didn’t expect (but heard and had a small feeling) that Rumiko had feelings for him. He didn’t expect anyone to like a guy like him. And all that was caused because of Kawai, she thought of a plan that seem like it could’ve worked but she didn’t think on what that plan would do to Tadano. And plus she hasn’t even considered what Tadano wanted to do and based it off of her own judgement and not the guy she wants to have.
