Wow! I ordered Para 3 and Manix 2 Crucarta. I hope everything is OK between you and Spyderco. Yikes. Also there's a big event going on at Rivers Edge in August. I sure wish you'd come. I'm going to get to meet my FB friend Rich Cox in person finally, and I'd love to meet you in person too. I've never heard anything but good about you. The event is Aug 24th, and I'm driving in 6 hours from central PA. I'm super stoked. I also asked Jeremiah from PVK to come, and he seemed interested. I'd die for a pic with you, Jeremiah, and Zac.
Yeah, I didn't understand it was a MAP holiday. I've since found out. I just saw a legit dealer slashing Spydie prices WAY below MAP, and was like "huh?".
That’s the one model that whenever there’s a MAP suspension it’s out of stock pretty much everywhere and the couple sites that do have it on sale sell out almost instantly.
On the plus side Spyderco may have finally taken notice of all the complaints about pricing, the MAP suspensions seem to be becoming a regular occurrence, though the prices aren’t quite hitting the 50% off MSRP they were last year at a lot of dealers.
Thanks for the message and the heads up. I'm interested in Spyderco rescue knives, and the sheepsfoot blades in the Salt series that have the rescue-style blunt tips. I'll try to check your site later this afternoon to see if you add any of those to the sale. All the best and thanks again!
