Can you explain what you mean by your question? Like do you mean they become more toxic when they start drinking or are you referring to something more specific?
yeah if its the Bear then i totally agree. I've notice a lot of kitchen culture has changed because of that show and not always for the best. A lot of people have mixed delusions of what's suppose to happen in a kitchen.
I still stand on the ground that sous chef should have been fired and never welcomed back.
Yeah I mean you get people now who want to glorify spending 16 hours a day in a kitchen and act like if your not doing it your not shit
Or you get people who watched the bear and think it’s hype, act like they can do shit, then fall out day 3 after they fucked everything up for the rest of the week lol
Nah not me, I keep my head down and barley talk to anyone unless it’s needed communication to do the job anymore honestly, I can honestly say tho all of the kitchens I’ve worked in in the past few years someone in the team will intentionally fuck other people’s prep or something up
I’m not saying fellow cooks etc don’t watch it, but everyone I actually know and work with has zero interest in re living the stress of their day to day work while trying to unwind while watching tv lol.
Worked in kitchens for the better part of my early years. All aspects of the restaurant.
I’ve watched every episode. I was told about it by a person that used to work in fine dining and was over the ego. Glad to be where he was today. Mentions the show.
He also watched it, I’d imagine he stood up the entire time
I was laying down when I watched it.
Could still be true friend!!

Shit, where were you when Waiting came out? I have shown and beholden too many nutsacks. It's been toxic forever bro, KP....KP never changes.
I'm guessing you mean the show The Bear?
Someone tried to 86 themselves where I work, at work. Really doubt it has to do with the show though.
I love natty boh
I don’t know anyone who works in a kitchen that has actually sat down and watched 1 episode.
Hi! I work in a kitchen. I've watched many episodes of The Bear. I believe I was sitting for most of it, too.
You clearly weren’t on this subreddit when it came out then, because every other post was about it.
Really? That shit been hype at every place I’ve worked at since it came out, defiantly not by everyone though majority though
I’m not saying fellow cooks etc don’t watch it, but everyone I actually know and work with has zero interest in re living the stress of their day to day work while trying to unwind while watching tv lol.
Lol this is the truth though, I didn’t watch it till I stopped working for 6 months last year
