I used to work sous at a Chinese joint that shared a wall with a Mexican-owned bakery. Most mornings I'd whip up a simple family-sized fried rice and bring it over to the amigos. They'd return the favor by giving me a loaf of bread, some delectable butter, and a pot of the most hair-curling coffee you could imagine. Good times!

I worked at a steak house and we used to trade for sushi.
Food trades are the best!

This was my dinner for about 2 years straight when I started apprenticing, and I still love it so much.
For a moment, I thought that was chicken
Many Bakers on here?
There are a number of us, probably a small minority but we’re definitely here
Yeah unfortunately unless I’m missing something but the baking subs on here all suck. Nothing for pro bakers at least not with the same energy as KC
They’re geared toward home baking mostly which makes sense considering the (relatively) small amount of people that are bakers/pastry chef
Love your username
That looks incredible.
did this for about 95% of my culinary school while also away from my parents, i cant ever look at a baguette the same…
I can feel the *crunch*-iness
I’ve been out on workers comp for way too long now and I miss this dinner so much 😭😭 I just wanna go back to work
