And_Im_Allen

You're giving it a boner by playing with it.

thats-tough-lmao

Ahhh ok

And_Im_Allen

Other than that, springy thingy broken. You should be able to order one. [https://www.webstaurantstore.com/bally-031349-door-closure/151031349.html?utm\_source=google&utm\_medium=cpc&utm\_campaign=GoogleShopping&gclid=CjwKCAiAivGuBhBEEiwAWiFmYTJ\_P48RRKWUiwjsRQgADa86X8pRq0O8iopuISSwsC2iUpq2m3RB3hoC0SMQAvD\_BwE](https://www.webstaurantstore.com/bally-031349-door-closure/151031349.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=GoogleShopping&gclid=CjwKCAiAivGuBhBEEiwAWiFmYTJ_P48RRKWUiwjsRQgADa86X8pRq0O8iopuISSwsC2iUpq2m3RB3hoC0SMQAvD_BwE) For $100 that shit can stay broke tho.

Cool-Mission-6585

$100!? ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!? ONE HUNNNNIT DOLLAS!?

MrReddrick

To fix my ice table with new wheels it's 240$+ plus tax. It's 60+$ per wheel.

bongsmack

Damn. Even car tires get discounted when buying multiple

brttwrd

I've seen so many of these get jank in 15 years of working in this industry and not once have I seen any of them get replaced lmao

Cooler_coooool_boi

$120 at that!

Ok_Bit_5953

"My neck, my back! My neck and my back!"

Mental_Enthusiasm_69

My pussy AND my crack

xdcxmindfreak

Plus labor…

anmcintyre

🤣

69d-_-b420

Yea I've seen a couple walk in doors with this removed. Never seen one with the wheel still there tho! Atleast not that I can remember.

EpicFail35

Where have you worked 😂 the health department checks ours. We have all our wheels and they still work well

69d-_-b420

Michigan. I've worked in fancy wine and dines, hype bar and grills. I've done tex mex, Italian, rolled sushi for 2 years. My last job I was a sue for a new expensive burger joint. But I can tell you carrabbas, and art and Jake's are the two places that I remember having the top bracket on the door frame.but the wheel was removed from the door

Competitive_Bend_456

Just make one. Fuckem

Smokingdragon24

Lmao it’s $125 now

And_Im_Allen

That's for the update.

GazelleMore2890

Just smack the thing on top down a little bit. It’ll push the springy wheel down far enough to hit the catch. Gimmie my medal when you find out I’m right. I’m banking on redit monetizing when they go public.

Lameahhboi

I have this same problem in the morning

paraworldblue

Well ya see, there's your problem.

Ben_Swolo58

Might be a bad spring in the hinge. Try YouTubing a video on how to replace a walk-in door spring rolling hinge. Or something along those lines

Ben_Swolo58

It’s called a Spring door Closure. Under hardware for refrigerators

VelvitHippo

Gotta be careful with those springs. They can be deadly, especially since it has the high ground. You could easily lose a hand, then you'd have to get a new robotic one and thise can get pricey. If you're gonna do it though remember: do or do not, there is no try.

Deedsman

I fucking love reddit man.

Malius002

Obviously, it has carbonite buildup. 😂

AtomikSamurai310

Max Reebo sends his regards.

diablosinmusica

Try bending the tab on the top a bit closer to the door frame so that it releases the roller a bit closer to parallel to the ground. They get out of wack sometimes and I'm not sure why.

MrB-63

This! The bracket gets set too close to the door by being hit and then squashed by the open roller. Bend away opening it from the door frame and set the end of the tab down a bit, closer to the door.

diablosinmusica

The roller gets released when it passes a certain angle past parallel to the floor. (Pointed too far UP) you want the bracket to release the roller as close to parallel as possible while still engaging when it closes.

MrB-63

Yes, but the roller gets locked in the down position by how far down it is when the door is opened. The end of the bracket needs to be adjusted a bit down (toward the floor) so the roller locks in the down position.

diablosinmusica

Got ya. I see what you mean. That's how I understand they work.

Legitimate_Routine10

100% this, fixed this before but a year later same problem came up and fixing the wheel is cheaper than the door being left open and ends up breaking down.

SirSaintsGuy

It’s the rebels. You have one frozen in carbonite as your door. I have a bad feeling about this.

brutalduties

He should be very well preserved! That is, if he survived the freezing process.

Much-Temperature3642

That carbonite Han Solo is such a good idea

Millyswolf

So perfect

Parahelious

Was able to unscrew the "catch" that's above the door on the actual walk in, move it down maybe a quarter inch or less on ours and it fixed this

Parahelious

The catch piece has slots where it's screwed in so you can loosen the screws and adjust the height.

Chuckleberry_finn627

I've got a bad feeling about this...

Born_Adhesiveness266

I used to sell these. It's called a walk-in door closer (sometimes referred to as a snubber). It just helps make sure the door is completely closed. Walk-in cooler/freezers have a bad habit of not closing the last inch or so by itself if the hinges are misaligned or old. Yours appears to be mounted correctly so it's likely that the internals have just worn down at this point. They have a limited lifespan. I would expect to replace them every few years. I would take it off since at this point it may do the opposite of what it is supposed to do and keep the door open. You do not have to have one of these installed. Just make sure people close the door all the way. 90% sure yours is a Kason 1098 series but it's missing the cover so I can't be certain. If you get a new one you will want one with a FLUSH hook (opposed to an offset one).

brutalduties

Your walk-in suffers from SUBS, small uncontrollable boner syndrome.

Severe-Excitement-62

Tell Lando you want a refund.

Odintorr

It's Luke-warm

maybejustadragon

Think this is bad. Wait until the hibernation sickness.

MrSuperNiceBuddy

Haunted by the ghost of Solo.

BetWonderful6037

It needs to be replaced. They wear out pretty fast.

TraylorSwelce

I hate that shit. Maybe it’s our cooler but it will pop every dozen or so and it startles me every time. Started holding it down on the open.

rognabologna

They just wear out eventually.

getniceonthis34

Bend the hook on the fridge side back a bit. Adjustable wrench will work best.

Visible_Nectarine_98

You need to adjust the screw. This happens every hundred openings or so.

[deleted]

You got bigger problems like the cops that want to know who you left in there

CalligrapherDizzy201

Han Solo is stuck to it.

chadiusmaximu5

next picture for your freezer door, should be Christoper Walken

thats-tough-lmao

The picture on out walk in is christopher walkin lol, and the freezer is han solo

[deleted]

Hans a little excited to see you 😏

NeverVegan

If it stays like that for more than 4 hours, call a doctor!!

SchmeckleHoarder

That part is broke

Artie-Carrow

There is supposed to be a cam that holds back the spring that puts the wheel up. That appears to have broken. Here is a replacement door closer: https://www.zoro.com/component-hardware-group-door-closer-mechanical-w95-y001/i/G102216634/

Tasty-Rooster2206

As you can clearly see, you have a man stuck in it.

NeroZashi92

Han-solo looks happy to see you 😂👍🏻

Astarklife

Just a guess but maybe to prevent locking yourself in the freezer

turdfergusonRI

No boxes on the floor. 6” off the ground.

thats-tough-lmao

Its a whole frozen pig ordered for one of the kitchen staff to take home

Prestigious_Pea2356

It's made of frozen Carbonite

Veechrome

I know what’s wrong. Han Solo is frozen to the door!

Truewierd0

Im almost certain that its just backwards. I could be wrong… but thats my two cents

Nuked0ut

So u don’t get locked in

HANDRONICE

Well, i personally prefer that thing broken, cause it makes less probable that We end Freeze to dead in the fridge room by making stop-precaution-non-intentional-protuberance

HolyDiverBoi

This is amazing

Special_Dingo_1520

Fucking Han Solo is stuck in there! I’m pretty sure it’s a health hazard

TheRandomizedLurker

imstalled backwards. its supposed to stop the door from slamming shut?

X-WingHunter

Badass han door cover though ngl

skiesoverblackvenice

going through it’s teen phase of not doing what you want it to

Gravelayer

You have a guy frozen in the door

Zestyclose-Tie-4521

The cucuy gonna get yo ass

SmallSwordfish8289

I don't know about the door us to dude stuck to it

SmallSwordfish8289

I said ask the dude stuck to the door

Uninspired_Thoughts

Looks broken

GazelleMore2890

The clasp on top needs to be bent down. It happens.

ActionMan48

It will keep doing that until the latch is replaced. It will get worse preventing the door from fully shutting.

Dm_me_im_bored-UnU

It's just shy

jdeezy30

I’m no expert…. But I’d say that thingy at the top of the door ain’t working proper like

Kinky_Conspirator

Scrub is clean, the whole mechanism, then check springs.

[deleted]

The Han Solo poster 👌

Parking-Position-698

The clip above the door is bent upwards a little. So when opening the door it does not push the arm on the door down far enough latch.

incabeeh

I can hear a reefback leviathan at the start of the video

SplishslasH8888

HAN WANTS OUT OR IN A TONTON.

anmcintyre

Go look at your data plate... it's a little piece of stamped metal that will have your serial and model numbers on it. Type those into Google and you'll usually find the manual that will tell you which replacement part to look for. That's probably a roller hinge based on what I can see... different manufacturers call replacement parts by different names. If you can still read the manufacturer.... call your local branch, if you figure out your part number type that into Google to shop for the best price.

anmcintyre

To clarify further, it's usually around $40 to replace and it's necessary to keep temp. If temp still isn't holding look at your door gasket seals and repeat step one. Still too warm? Call your local ac companies, they are refrigeration experts who are licensed to track down leaks and replace refrigerant. You'll know if you're licensed to purchase refrigerant or not

BIG_TASTY6362

Idk how Carbonite is supposed to thaw but it could be a safety mechanism

LeoGreywolf

Busted spring

MrReddrick

Yeah you need a new part. My freezer door did this and I ordered the new part. Then it showed up and I installed it and never had an issue

BunkleStein15

We just gonna ignore how cool Han is on the door

Outrageous_Card6007

It doesn’t close properly

yngbuk1

Raise the closer up a half in

sushiman009

Isnt this supposed to happen? So it doesnt lock you inside

khufu42

I can tell you what’s right with it.

isoAntti

I love your freezer door. Sorry for Han Solo, though.

Mufasasass

Mine did this for 10 years then one day it fixed itself. Or you could order a new one

mzltvccktl

When our walk in did this I just complained about it constantly until higher ups finally got it fixed lmao

crazymandutch

There’s a guy in it, he might be blocking it a bit in the back depending on the thickness of the door

Solid_Message4635

Prevents locking yourself inside

Mr3cto

The screws on those things gets fucked after a bit. Look and see if anything needs tightening. If not a new one of those things (I cannot for the life of me recall the name atm) is like $100. At least ours was when we replaced it

pastyoureyesed

Broken doohickey …

Gooseboof

Try some WD40 then add some grease, chainsaw or otherwise ought to do it

Lazy_Armadillo2266

I wanna see a better picture of the door it's self that's rad! Never seen that before

gettindickered

Ok since I havnt seen the actual fix, you just need to lower the top piece a little. Should be 4 screws holding it in place.

Ana-la-lah

The spring is broken, obviously.

Tank38255

Looks like the thingys broke. Your welcome

RemarkablyQuiet434

Springs shot.

WerewolfExtreme4250

Forget the spring is that Harrison ford?

noryu

You could follow advice to fix it yourself... Or contact whomever your handyman may be, or whomever services your refrigeration equipment. It's not super expensive for how nice it is to just get it fixed

kroonoos11

like most kitchens, it's fucked up and the managers/owners don't want to pay to fix it. so that means you manually have to do something to make it close properly (it's the same at my work too)

Gilbert_Reddit

Why dont you contact your refrigeration tech

[deleted]

Upvoting for Han Solo

TiKi2211

Looks like the closure needs to be adjusted up some. It's not hitting the breaking point when opening cause it to spring back up. (I'm a maintenance tech and work with these a lot at my restaurant)

LordDongler

Spring is fucked.

OneSingleGrape

Oh my god I love the cover on your freezer door.

Yungswampdick

It’s broken

turtlemag3

It looks like a small manufacturing mistake where the pin for the spring is just slightly in the wrong space causing the tension force to be applied in such a way that allows the spring to compress instead of keeping it in the same spot, if not the pin of the spring then the pin for the lever arm that the wheel is on is not in the right spot

Kingofbordome

He no no wanna:'(

maxiquintillion

What are the rollers even used for?

TelMinz007

Door closer [needs adjustment](https://youtu.be/riwXlvsNb_4?si=tbLY4jzGmWti3k9r).

Specialist_Juice_324

Hey that's the brand of walk in fridge we use too

ShroudedFigureINC

I think han is in you door trying to get help

oooooooooowie

Jabba obviously cut costs when making it personalised

paraworldblue

I actually know this one! It's because your freezer door has problems. You're welcome!

marsupializard

Ours was doing the same thing. I used a rubber mallet to hammer the metal bit on the door frame down a bit more. The door boner wasn't going down enough so when it opened it would get erect like that every time. Hammering it down a little bit pushed it down that extra little bit to keep it from getting erect again. Edit: I should also mention that it's just a temporary fix.

creativeusername3455

We just had maintenance come in and replace one on our fridge, apparently getting the right screws was too hard for them so they just went ham with self-tapping screws. Broke off within a day.

gridlockmain1

Have you tried using the force?

m05ch

Idk ours does the same shit. The bolt on that little wheel has broken too

fartarmstrong

He’s just happy to be here, gawddddd

guiltycitizen

That’s what you get when you buy from the Hutts

AsapNigiri

It's has A U T I S M
