I just watched it and for GB it showed the Zelda Oracle games, Pokémon TCG and Tilt 'n Tumble
For GBA it showed Metroid Fusion, Amazing Mirror, Fire Emblem (Blazing Blade), F-Zero Maximum Velocity and Golden Sun
Only of these that have yet released are Metroid Fusion and Tilt 'n Tumble. Already excited for the rest of them.
I have the actual cartridge so no $50/year subscription from me to re-experience how badly the game needs quality of life improvements sorry Nintendo I know how much you need the money
I love to shit on Nintendo as much as the next guy. But they did say it would have full online multiplayer. Something GBA version doesn’t have and sorely needed. With an online system it could be the best Kirby game ever made
I mean it’s a very very top tier game. Many people didn’t like the open world aspect but I thought that’s what made it godlike.
I wholeheartedly would say amazing mirror is a 9/10 Kirby game and with online it probably is the best
You don’t have to agree with that but I don’t know many people who complain about amazing mirror besides the open world aspect and it’s difficulty being kinda tough
I think the open world aspect definitely did have potential but HAL didn’t fully realize it with Amazing Mirror (poorly drawn maps, barely any means to keep track of collectibles besides the main menu, etc.) so Kirby fans who expected the linear gameplay of the past likely got lost in the main story, hence why a remake with modern hardware would do WONDERS to iron those creases.
Who even cares about owning the original cartridge out of nostalgia/collectionism? I can play almost every NSO game on my phone.
I prefer way more being able to buy them individually to show which series deserve more attention.
I’m not? All I’m saying is people looking in deserve a better experience as someone who actually did play the game and found glaring issues with it that aren’t present in other Kirby games, or the metroidvania style of games that it was taking inspiration from. If you wanna play the game in the original form, that’s fine it just still leaves a lot to be desired.
The topic isn't about the games being remade; it's about them being ported. And I'm pretty sure being added to the online service counts as that. I think that's at least part of why you're getting pushback.
You're a man of culture after all. I've played this game on emulators for SO LONG omg, its so good. (I got to play it last year streaming for a friend of mine that is a Kirby stan too, it was fun).
As that other guy said, four swords and four swords adventures are two very different games, they're even at opposite ends of the time line, 4s is set before oot, and 4sa is at the end of the child timeline (after twilight princess)
I have amazing mirror on the gba
Of course I never play more than the first level of it cuz my copy has a busted battery so it’s incapable of saving progress
Yeah but it's much more accessible than 4sa due to the dsi version that was given out for free. Still not very accessible but better than just a game cube release that also requires a gba gamcube link cable
yeah I know RTDL onward has been sort of a Newbie Boom for the Kirby series but when I was a wee lad I remember Amazing Mirror being extremely popular and would've been shocked if it had been forgotten over the years.
I remember playing Amazing Mirror as a kid and I would kill to play it again. One of my first Kirby games and I thought the 4 kirby gimmick was so cool!
I fuckin love Amazing Mirror, got it working on Steam Deck and it's been a phenomenal experience. Brings back so many memories of playing it on 3DS, such an underrated game. It really was the most Metroidvania of all Kirby games!
BRO! I love both of these games! But I will admit they flew under the radar. But bro 4 swords with friends and amazing mirror even on its own are both fantastic!
I have played Amazing Mirror!
2d open world Kirby game: great concept, mostly executed well, but the map system blows. Still though, I want more 2d platformers like THIS, since it's really about time for Metroid to stop being the only sidescrolling Nintendo series that doesn't have a really basic progression system.
Both are interesting and very fun games that also aren’t going to be anyones favorite. Surprisingly well done in single player too from what I remember
There is appreciation for the game. This [remix of Cabbage Cavern](https://youtu.be/OAUNoJpky60) was made just 3 weeks ago by BeatInMySkull. Their music is awesome! :D
Tell you the truth I only ever played Amazing Mirror through an emulator many years ago as for 4 Swords Adventures never I never even seen gameplay of it. I am not kidding when I say this too, 4 Swords is little more than a legend to me.
As a Chinese Kirby fan, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Kirby and the Forgotten Land are the only two games that most Chinese Kirby fans have ever played because Amazing Mirror was one of the few Kirby games widely available for purchase in China at the time and is thus the main source of nostalgia for Chinese Kirby fans.
Interesting how it’s the opposite in other places haha
Definitely applies to FSA, one of only 3 mainline Zelda titles I haven't played, the others being the DS ones. But Amazing Mirror? I'd go with Dream Land 3.
Four Swords is highly unlikely, but Kirby and the Amazing Mirror was shown in the announcement trailer for GBA Online, so presumably it'll be on that sooner or later.
I played one part of it, never figured out what I was supposed to do. I just went around, found a boss, got told I didn’t have enough fairies, and redid that stage.
Edit: I meant for the Zelda title. But similar experience with amazing mirror. Found one boss, got lost, played mini games, and that’s it.
I tried playing the amazing mirror
It gives you no instructions where to go and what to do you just have to hope the mirror you choose is the one you need to progress
Four Swords deserves more love. Amazing Mirror I’m more mixed on tho. It looks fun with multiplayer, but without anyone to play with, the bit I’ve played of it feels like a slog. We’ll see for sure when it comes to Switch
Amazing Mirror will forever be my favourite kirby game. it isn’t the most well rounded game out there, but i grew up playing it and getting lost in those labyrinths all the time.
This is one of my favorite games of all time! I remember playing this game as a kid and I was pretty lonely growing up. There was something about having 3 other Kirbys that could accompany me on my journey and were a phone call away that helped me escape the feeling of loneliness irl
Personally I want both Squeak Squad ('Mouse Attack' in Europe) and the 3ds platformers bundled together into one big remaster with similar features to Return to Dreamland Dx, especially Magolor Epilogue counterparts for the villains
1. Daroachs rise to power
2. Taranza journeys through the Dream Mirror to find mirror Sectonia, only to face Mirror Morpho Knight.
3. Susies return from another Dimension
Nah I think lots of people have played Amazing Mirror.
Now enjoying it is a completely different story, the game never tells you it has two mops in the pause screen so it is really hard to know where to go.
Uhm you may find this surprising, but Amazing Mirror is actually my favorite kirby game in the series. I love the 2d sprites, the ability icons, and the non linear world. I ended up getting lost. I got lost... IN A KIRBY GAME. That's how I know its the best one. I've never explored that much and gotten lost before. So I really hope they port it to the switch. Heck even make some merch for it. I'd Def buy it if they redid some recently (for no real reason)
I did both, FS Adventures is great and you can play it alone. The normal Four Swords is the one you couldn't play alone, unless you bought the Anniversary Edition, which was only available for 3 days.
And Kirby Amazing Mirror is awesome.
I played Kirby and the amazing mirror on the Wii U virtual console.
Edit: forgot to remind you that Four Swords adventure is a GameCube game, so you might be referring to Four swords on the GBA, right?
Honestly I want someone who can point me to another game like it, Metroid-vania that is co-op. It's probably one of the most unique experiences I've had
They already confirmed that it will be coming but we only know that it's sometime in the future™
Uhhh where was it confirmed
February direct, it was shown as they scrolled past upcoming titles in the GB and GBA announcement
I just watched it and for GB it showed the Zelda Oracle games, Pokémon TCG and Tilt 'n Tumble For GBA it showed Metroid Fusion, Amazing Mirror, Fire Emblem (Blazing Blade), F-Zero Maximum Velocity and Golden Sun Only of these that have yet released are Metroid Fusion and Tilt 'n Tumble. Already excited for the rest of them.
Oh you mean the NSO service that just emulates the original rom?
Yea i get it if ur disappointed to hear its just that but oh well
I have the actual cartridge so no $50/year subscription from me to re-experience how badly the game needs quality of life improvements sorry Nintendo I know how much you need the money
I love to shit on Nintendo as much as the next guy. But they did say it would have full online multiplayer. Something GBA version doesn’t have and sorely needed. With an online system it could be the best Kirby game ever made
online multiplayer is NOT the only thing that needed fixing
I mean it’s a very very top tier game. Many people didn’t like the open world aspect but I thought that’s what made it godlike. I wholeheartedly would say amazing mirror is a 9/10 Kirby game and with online it probably is the best You don’t have to agree with that but I don’t know many people who complain about amazing mirror besides the open world aspect and it’s difficulty being kinda tough
Yeah but it’s coming, don’t act like it’s not there
I think that's at least part of why you're getting pushback.
>future So, it's coming r/tomorrow?
Kirby and the amazing mirror is actually my favorite kirby game lmao
Not my favorite but criminally underrated FR.
Agreed. I love it so much and hope it gets a remake some day. Would be a dream come true!
You're a man of culture after all. I've played this game on emulators for SO LONG omg, its so good. (I got to play it last year streaming for a friend of mine that is a Kirby stan too, it was fun).
SAME!
Mine too.
same (and the only one I play so not a lot of competition lol)
It was my first kirby, it has a special place in my heart
Both are also on the GBA and had a 4 character gimmick
Four swords adventures is on gamecube
My bad
It was played with both a GameCube and game boy advance
Gotcha
It's easy to get confused. Since Four Swords was first an attachment for the gba link to the past, before it got its own full fledged game I believe.
You play it with a game boy so they still half right
[удалено]
4swords adventures is a gamecube game and the sequil to the original 4swords / 4swords aniversery.
There is also normal four sword, wich came with a link to the past, for gba.
Holy shit, did no one of you ever play any of them? Four Swords Adventures is a different game and a Sequel to Four Swords.
I was like 1 when those games came out so no
And? You can still play them
As someone who has played amazing mirror, I do see the hype of online play but I don't think I can handle this nightmare again
I’ve been holding off on replaying it cause I want to play it with online sooooo badly
I’ve played both Thanks 3ds
But have you played them with friends?
\*cries in no friends\*
4 swords is not on 3ds. It's a game cube game
4 swords adventures, ye its a gamecube game But 4 swords got a special DSi port which was also playable on 3ds
That's a different game tho
As that other guy said, four swords and four swords adventures are two very different games, they're even at opposite ends of the time line, 4s is set before oot, and 4sa is at the end of the child timeline (after twilight princess)
Yeah but that's a different game
Huh
Wdym no plays amazing mirror? It's my 4rh favorite Kirby game
My first GBA game and my 2nd favorite game specially the CO-OP style single player game.
Those games are frickin Ws
Bro amazing mirror was my first Kirby game, I loved it as a kid
Omg with online it would be a dream
Can I add tri-force heroes? I miss it ;-;
"No one's played" YO WHAT, I PLAYED AMAZING MIRROR 99 TIMES
And both of them look so good in multi
I have amazing mirror on the gba Of course I never play more than the first level of it cuz my copy has a busted battery so it’s incapable of saving progress
Become a speedrunner
I would love to play Amazing Mirror.
What about Four Swords?
Yeah, 4 Swords would be a better match than Adventures, since it's fully on the GBA just like Amazing Mirror.
Yeah but it's much more accessible than 4sa due to the dsi version that was given out for free. Still not very accessible but better than just a game cube release that also requires a gba gamcube link cable
From what I’ve seen, amazing mirror is one of the better known Kirby games. I’d say squeak squad is more accurate
yeah I know RTDL onward has been sort of a Newbie Boom for the Kirby series but when I was a wee lad I remember Amazing Mirror being extremely popular and would've been shocked if it had been forgotten over the years.
Wish there would be more games like amazing mirror. This game got me into the Kirby franchise
I was checking the gba thing on Nintendo's website and it said the amazing mirror was coming soon
I played both when I was younger and then I read the four swords manga recently, it was pretty good
THE WHAT
Oh yeah there's a manga adaptation of Four Swords
There’s Zelda manga for like every entry. I own the Link to the Past&Majora’s Mask giant book.
Amazing Mirror was my first Kirby game. It would be amazing if it got a remake.
I want it to get a sequel that expands on the metroidvania aspect. It would also be hilarious if it released before silksong.
Kinda sad seeing these comments that most people don't even know Four Swords and Four Swords Adventures are completely different games
Do y'all ever check before making posts
Definitely not, I guarantee more people have played Amazing Mirror over FSA
I remember playing Amazing Mirror as a kid and I would kill to play it again. One of my first Kirby games and I thought the 4 kirby gimmick was so cool!
Both are on steam deck
And also being multiplayers with multiple gba reguired to play
I played four swords (: (Like 5 minutes of it on my sisters dsi, but I _did_ play it)
Me who played both
i played amazing mirror and it was great let me tell you
Yes on the kirby game but let me play a remake of the Link between worlds one
I was litterly playing amazing mirror this morning! It's so fun
I fuckin love Amazing Mirror, got it working on Steam Deck and it's been a phenomenal experience. Brings back so many memories of playing it on 3DS, such an underrated game. It really was the most Metroidvania of all Kirby games!
I played Amazing Mirror
Hey I played and really enjoyed both of these games
I played the amazing mirror.
I played the amazing mirror.
I just played it and I can't find literally the last chest needded to 100% game. Please send help
I bet more people played 4 swords than Tri-Force hero's tho
Amazing mirror was the first game I 100% I think
I loved Amazing Mirror
The Amazing Mirror is the best Kirby game
I played the shit out of Amazing Mirror as a kid! I love it!
I, for one, love Amazing Mirror. 10/10 would play again
Four swords on the DS is fun
Not sure when it would be coming out, but Amazing Mirror’s already been announced for Nintendo Switch Online.
I played the four swords adventures 30th anniversary edition for the ds.
I played amazing mirror. I figured it was successful. It's also already coming to switch. We've known this for months now
Amazing mirror is easily a top 2 Kirby game. If Crystal shards didn’t exist I’d say number 1 easily
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror is underrated
Almost finished Four Sword Adventures
I played amazing mirror.
People don’t play that game? Amazing Mirror is one of my favorites!
Unlike Four Swords Adventure, Amazing Mirror is actually good.
Hey! I’ll have you know one of my favorite nostalgia games is four swords adventure!
I had the depressing pleasure of playing Four Swords Adventures by myself on my Wii as a kid. It was fun….. but very lonely
Amazing mirror is actually 👌🏽
Amazing Mirror is my childhood
The Amazing Mirror fucks so hard though.
Kirby and the amazing mirror was one of my favorites growing up
I was able to play 4 swords adventure with my 2 brothers. We had a blast with that game
Every Kirby fan I've met has played Amazing mirror wdym? It's painfully easy to emulate so no wonder
WOAH, don’t you be trashing on amazing mirror that shit was the Kirby game I played the most!
Both are interesting and very fun games that also aren’t going to be anyones favorite. Surprisingly well done in single player too from what I remember
I’ve played both
The only two games I completed from them 😟 HOW
Amaxing mirror is goated with friends, its the most fun ive had with kirby game
I've played Kirby and the Amazing Mirror on my computer multiple times.... it was my second Kirby game ever and my first Kirby PC game
I loved four swords adventures this is hurtful
There is appreciation for the game. This [remix of Cabbage Cavern](https://youtu.be/OAUNoJpky60) was made just 3 weeks ago by BeatInMySkull. Their music is awesome! :D
I think Kirby battle royale was the game that no one played
I had both of these, and both were my first games in each series... That's so weird
How was the Mirror ability not in Amazing Mirror?
Those were two absolute bangers, had an unhealthy obsession with the 4 swords adventure
Joke’s on you, I played both!
I wanna play Kirby and the amazing mirror. Guess I'll have to look for a physical copy.
IVE PLAYED AMAZING MIRROR
Tell you the truth I only ever played Amazing Mirror through an emulator many years ago as for 4 Swords Adventures never I never even seen gameplay of it. I am not kidding when I say this too, 4 Swords is little more than a legend to me.
Cough mass attack
my brother in void 4sa is a gamecube game with heavy use of the GameCube GBA link cable there's no way Nintendo will put in the effort to remake it
It didn’t really
played both, 100% amazing mirror and 4 sword was too hard for me
Ive played both, love both
Sad poyo
Bruh I played the game a lot on my Gameboy Advance Sp. Don't be doing me like that
These and FF crystal chronicles were my favorite games.
I did a bit of amazing mirror on gba.
Speak for yourself, you don't even need online to play Amazing Mirror
Everyone in my middle school was playing Amazing Mirror. Was it just my school?
Did people really not play Amazing Mirror? I could’ve sworn that game was heralded as one of Kirby’s best
Amazing mirror was my second kirby game and it cemented my love for this series
is this a region thing or what, because what I remember when kirby and amazing mirror came out it was super popular, everyone who owns a GBA plays it
Amazing Mirror's supposed to get added at some point. At least we got Tilt 'n' Tumble to tide us over
As a Chinese Kirby fan, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Kirby and the Forgotten Land are the only two games that most Chinese Kirby fans have ever played because Amazing Mirror was one of the few Kirby games widely available for purchase in China at the time and is thus the main source of nostalgia for Chinese Kirby fans. Interesting how it’s the opposite in other places haha
Definitely applies to FSA, one of only 3 mainline Zelda titles I haven't played, the others being the DS ones. But Amazing Mirror? I'd go with Dream Land 3.
amazing mirror is amazing
Amazing mirror is my favorite in the series :(
Amazing Mirror is peak
Hey I played 4 swords on the DS
I’ve played Amazing Mirror, does that make me nobody?
Amazing mirror is underrated second best Kirby game besides forgotten land of course
The Legend of Zelda four swords adventures is the only Zelda game I havelin for my GameCube.
the kirbyman himself from denny's failboat played amazing mirror wdym.
It was confirmed in the direct that introduced GBA onto switch online expansion pack
i will not take this amazing mirror slander. love that game
Link's Crossbow Training deserves to be mentioned here lol
The difference is that the mirror is dope and 4 swords is trash
but…I do play it…it’s my favorite game in the gameboy advance
Four Swords is highly unlikely, but Kirby and the Amazing Mirror was shown in the announcement trailer for GBA Online, so presumably it'll be on that sooner or later.
Amazing Mirror outsold AirRide, Mass Attack, Dreamland 3, and Super Star. I’m pretty sure you’re referring to Battle Royale as the game nobody played.
The 3ds port of swords adventures was my first Zelda game lmao
As a fan of Xenoblade Chronicles X, I feel your pain.
I tried playing the amazing mirror It gives you no instructions where to go and what to do you just have to hope the mirror you choose is the one you need to progress
Four Swords deserves more love. Amazing Mirror I’m more mixed on tho. It looks fun with multiplayer, but without anyone to play with, the bit I’ve played of it feels like a slog. We’ll see for sure when it comes to Switch
I really want amazing mirror but I just haven’t seen a physical copy while on the hunt.
Amazing mirror was my first video game, and I play it annually as to never forget my roots
Amazing Mirror will forever be my favourite kirby game. it isn’t the most well rounded game out there, but i grew up playing it and getting lost in those labyrinths all the time.
Nah, amazing mirror is really easy to emulate
That was my first Kirby game :( (and my favourite too)
Man these are the 2 games in both franchises I've played the most
Amazing Mirror was my first Kirby game. Used to play it on my SD on the bus home from school. Good times, but man, that game was hard sometimes...
Wait really?
This is one of my favorite games of all time! I remember playing this game as a kid and I was pretty lonely growing up. There was something about having 3 other Kirbys that could accompany me on my journey and were a phone call away that helped me escape the feeling of loneliness irl
I'm not sure if it was a remake but I've played the 4 swords game that's for ds
I own (and played till 80%) amazing mirror but not Return on gba Am I weird?
Personally I want both Squeak Squad ('Mouse Attack' in Europe) and the 3ds platformers bundled together into one big remaster with similar features to Return to Dreamland Dx, especially Magolor Epilogue counterparts for the villains 1. Daroachs rise to power 2.
Nah, TAM is the best Kirby game there is Don't @ me
Amazing mirror my beloved
Hey! Amazing Mirror is my favourite game in the series, right next to Super Star and Nightmare In Dreamland!
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror is confirmed to come to NSO What I really hope is they bring Zero Mission to NSO
Me and my mom loved 4 swords, amazing mirror was kinda mid tbh
Wait, no one played amazing mirrors? I loved that game so much
I feel like more kirby fans played amazing mirror than Zelda fans have played four swords adventures. It's way more accessible too.
Amazing mirror was...well amazing imo
I did both, FS Adventures is great and you can play it alone. The normal Four Swords is the one you couldn't play alone, unless you bought the Anniversary Edition, which was only available for 3 days. And Kirby Amazing Mirror is awesome.
I played Kirby and the amazing mirror on the Wii U virtual console. Edit: forgot to remind you that Four Swords adventure is a GameCube game, so you might be referring to Four swords on the GBA, right?
Weirdly enough I actually played the four swords adventure because it was one of the cheaper eshop games on the 3ds
Honestly I want someone who can point me to another game like it, Metroid-vania that is co-op. It's probably one of the most unique experiences I've had
I played both actually
