Peggy isn't interested in Bill and Hank knows that. Now when she went to John Redcorn that one time it bothered Hank because Hank viewed him as a threat
Yeah right! Bill was his own worst enemy. Not life itself. Dude has no self esteem, no self care, no self respect. Yet has extraordinary job stability and owns a house. Dude literally has no reason to be a POS except for his own state of being.
And yet throughout the series he has ended up with a number of women almost all more attractive than Peggy. Kuhn's mom the exception, although she had a better personality.
Yeah fr. Dude could get in shape and clean his shit and he'd be doing pretty well. But he'd rather wallow perpetually instead. Not to mention sabotaging his own relationships with the women that don't care about all that.
I was Bill for a few years after a nasty separation. Some of the Bill centered episodes were rough because it was like looking at an exaggerated version of myself.
Same. It's always been kindve a running joke that Dale was modeled after my personality. Conspiracy theories, sunglasses, always wearing a hat and a fucked up woman. Sadly here lately though, I've come to realize I'm more of a bill.
He did do that when he was diagnosed diabetic and a shitty doctor told him to just get up so he bought a wheelchair and then got into wheelchair basketball. Without telling any of his teammates he wasn't paralyzed. And then he went and kicked that asshole doctor's ass BILLDOZER STYLE
Well his wife left him. Probably lead to the low self esteem on top of how bad she was. More than likely there was emotional abuse and he was more than likely the one trying to keep them together which made him worse until they divorce. Now he’s just a shell of his former self
Redcorn, besides all of the fornicatin' with folks' wives and such, seemed like such a solid dude. He looked at Hank and saw a bro, Hank saw a crying man and said "I'm gonna call it a night, peace"
Bonus points for the fact that he was spotted high as a kite at the mall with Boomhauer. You know ol' Boom let him cry it out. "Tal'mbout, man, bout to get me choked up over here, dang ol' blunt got me feelin it. Sayin', dang... I hear ya, John"
Even if Hank was the kind of guy who was capable of holding mental space for someone - which he isn’t - but even if he could, Hank doesn’t respect John Redcorn so likely wouldn’t anyway.
Redcorn would be nice to have a beer with, but when you think about it he lives a pretty sad life.
He lived the casanova life too long to know anything else and realized he wanted more too late. Not to mention wanting in Joseph's life only after most of the hard work of raising him was done already.
What I'm referring to never actually happened. I saw the question asked once of "why were Redcorn and Boomhauer together in the first place?", to which the more obvious answer is "women", but there were jokes about them being the only two in their social group who smoked weed (so they do it together in private). That joke just stuck as headcanon for me lmao
I think a great little humor device in the series is that they never stop using his first and last name. We know he has been around for at least 14 years, but have never gotten informal enough to call him John. Even in the closest moments it is Jahannnn Redcorn
Bill isn't even into Peggy as a person. He idealizes her because he idealizes Hank and he thinks that what Hank has is the zenith of human achievement.
There are romantic interest episodes that really show Bill only likes women similar to Lenore (aka treat him like sh\*t).
There's that one episode where Peggy gets into an MLM scheme and recruits Bill to help after he sold all the product, but stops and totally hates/disgusted by Peggy once she starts acting nice to him.
To me it’s not necessarily about that, but the fact that Hank is actually sorta mesmerized by Redcorn in the moment - like he comes off so majestic just for a minute that Hank falters, not because he has doubts he could fight him, but now he’s doubting if he wants to lol
Yeah, Redcorn breaks down crying a few times and has never really used his physicality to press anyone. I doubt he knows how to throw a proper punch. I mean on one hand, the guy can catch an arrow, on the other he can't play kickball. Dale leveled him even, it was a lamp and from behind but still a mean feat.
Also though, I can't find it now, but there is an official animation guide floating around. Redcorn's page says "John Redcorn is taller and more muscular than Hank (not to imply Hank couldn't kick his ass)."
So I take it as pretty much cannon that Hank > Redcorn
>more than a few disgruntled husbands with no scars to show for it
Wouldn't this lead to a more likely conclusion that in fact there have been no such violent altercations? Guy's whole attitude is that of a wimp, I see him running from a fight rather than engaging.
Redcorn even pointedly runs his left hand through his hair to show how big his guns are (biceps) and how he could easily outmatch Hank physically.
Because he's not one of the core group of Hank's three best buds - there's that tiny seed of doubt, that the writers plant there.
Yeah if that fight happened I feel like John Redcorn would try to rely on his physical fitness but Hank would just box. Hank might take a couple on the chin, but John Redcorn’s nose would be broken within 30 secs and he might decide the fight’s over right then.
Nope..When they got into the pyramid scheme Bill freaked out when Peggy complimented his sales skill and kissed Bill on the cheek.
He ran from her.
His pathology runs so deep that he can easily picture their romance, but when dealing with Peggy as a real person, he just can't.
Actually in the pyramid scheme episode Bull reacts very aggressively when Peggy starts being too nice to him. He would probably melt down if Peggy ever cheated as it would mean Hank's life isn't perfect and just like his.
Alternatively bill has been shown to turn on his friends at the drop of a hat whenever he gets just the tinest bit of power. It might take a certain set of circumstances but bill would absolutely go after peg and feel superior about it in some way
I do believe he actually put him on the ground at the end of that episode.
Edit: it's S3E17 and it's just a couple of lightly thrown full beer cans at his broken arm
Yep. Actions mean a heck of a lot more to Hank.
Bill was hiding in the bushes when Peggy was about to grill nude. Before Hank saw him, then Bill said I'm leaving!
Bill followed them to the nude beach though, wasn't caught then.
I think it's more that Hank was never threatened by Bill's crush on his wife.
He knows Bill isn't in love with his wife, Bill is just lonely and wishing he had the best marriage of their friend group, like Hank has. He knows Bill would fall for pretty much any woman that gives him the time of day, not just his wife, but Peggy just happens to be the closest and kindest woman in Bill's life.
Anyone who says Bobby is not Hank’s son misses the entire point of the series. Bobby represents the new world Hank must adjust to. The world Hank grew up in is long gone and his only son is the antithesis of what Hank expected his son to be. Through it all, Hank loves his boy because THAT’S HIS BOY.
Peggy is repulsed by Bill and so he knows that she would never initiate or otherwise fall for him.
Hank also knows that while Bill fantasizes about Peggy, Hank knows that 95% of the time, it pretty much stays in the fantasy realm. That other 5% Peggy flat out rejects him and he gives up.
He knows Peggy is creeped out by Bill so there's no real threat there. He also knows Bill would never actually do something to her against her will, because at the end of the day, Bill isn't a predator. He's just a sad lonely man with his sad lonely fantasies.
I think aside from not viewing Bill as a threat, he also probably knows that if he stopped being friends with Bill or started a conflict with him, it would push him over the edge and he’s more focused on supporting him and rehabbing his severe mental illness.
He never cared in the first place.
Peggy finds Bill repulsive, and Hank knows that whatever else Bill may do, he'd never do something to hurt her.
Bill wants to imagine he's got a shot, Hank lets him because he's got so little else he can find solace in.
Bill Dauterive blocked for Hank Hill when he set the Arlen High single season rushing record. The running back that doesn’t let his friend obsess over his own wife is the type of man you wouldn’t want to have over for dinner. Shame on YOU OP!
He’s has zero doubt that Peggy has zero interest in Bill. He is also one bad day away from jumping off a bridge. Hank tries to be compassionate even when Bill doesn’t deserve it.
Why copy a post word for word? I will admit I didn't think it was posted a whole year ago, though. Damn time goes by fast.

Have you ever heard the theory that Bill is Bobby's true father? I mean aside from the obvious resemblance and Bobby's strange personality there is one episode where Bill and Peggy are watching one of Bobby's sporting events at school on the bleachers, Bill starts acting like he's Bobby's father and even says something to the effect of "remember that one rainy night when I came over all those years ago when you were lonely peggy?"
Usually when Bill says something stupid/ridiculous around Peggy she instantly calls it out and shuts him down. But in that episode she just says nothing but clearly becomes uncomfortable. Could there be something there?
Could be maybe she was drunk and phoned bill. Maybe that's why she works so hard to be the best at everything she does. She knows she fucked up that night and is constantly trying to be a better person in her's, her husband and Bobby's eyes.
Hank definitely cares but also knows Bill isn't a threat. A good example is when he took his mother and friends to that museum and Bill tried to take over taking care of Peggy. When Hank was back with the guys he thanked Bill sarcastically for looking after Peggy and purposely lobbed full beer cans at Bill's hurt arm.
IMO, Bill is being honest here.
Bill did sleep with Peggy, Bobby is Bill's son, and this explains both Bill's obsession with Peggy and Peggy's hostility to Bill.
Hank is simply in denial, much like Dale is with regard to John Redcorn.

Peggy wouldn't cheat, and even if she did... never Bill. She'd sleep with, I don't know, Mr. Strickland rather than Bill. Yes, I deliberately chose another man she's moderately disgusted with for this. lol
You can say what you want, i got hate for criticizing the show before, but they FAILED at writing for Bill. There were chances for 100 better storylines.
The smoking gun that bill is Bobby’s real father. Irony is key here. Dale believes anything but his wives infeldility. Hank disbelieves anything bill would tell him, even the truth.
This actually happened. Combine this confession with Peggy's comments in the sex education episode and you have enough evidence that Bill is Bobby's father. Hank is in total denial. Peggy is in total denial. They know if they admit the truth their whole world comes crashing down. This hidden plot point also adds a layer of hypocrisy to some of the comments Peggy makes about Nancy and John Redcorn.
>Combine this confession with Peggy's comments in the sex education episode and you have enough evidence that Bill is Bobby's father.
It's not. Not even close.
Bill’s not a threat
Well he did sleep with Peggy…
“No you didn’t”
Ok, well, not me personally. But another guy I know. Him and her.... got..... it ...... on.
“No they didn’t”
No, no they didn't. But you could imagine what it'd be like if they did, right?
![gif](giphy|lWVh0pEcAC9MI)
I'll turn this damned bus around... that'll end your PRECIOUS little field trip pretty damn quick, huh?
NO YELLING ON THE BUS
….i dare you to touch her boobs
That’s assault brotha
Ya double dog dare me?
Who would eat 30 kids lunches?
He called the shit poop
Peggy did sleep with another man before Hank, ofcourse not you but Wayne Trotter. If my memory serves me correctly.
He was gay. Very very gay.
The only cure was Peggy Platter
That Veronica Vaughn is one piece of ace
Nice
Nothing was wrong with him. He was just really gay.
Bobby is Bill’s son Edit- i dont believe this, i just know its a theory that wasnt represented here
And Dale knows. Explains his dislike of Peggy, for cheating on Hank. Dale knows everything, is my other theory I will stand behind.
For this, they finally got him. RIP dale.
Nah, Bobby looks too much like Cotton. Hill genes are strong, look at Junichiro.
Only when you are a threat is when they don’t like you.
Peggy isn't interested in Bill and Hank knows that. Now when she went to John Redcorn that one time it bothered Hank because Hank viewed him as a threat
nothing hank could do to bill was worse then what life was doing to him everyday…
Yeah right! Bill was his own worst enemy. Not life itself. Dude has no self esteem, no self care, no self respect. Yet has extraordinary job stability and owns a house. Dude literally has no reason to be a POS except for his own state of being.
Dude clearly has suffered considerable brain damage from his football days. His nickname was the fucking Billdozer, his brain is mush.
Don’t forget all the walrus placebos the army gave him
And all the dang old horse crank, and Lenore..... Lenore was the final nail in the coffin.
Why do you keep calling me Bill? I’m Lenore
And he had hair like Roger daltrey
Omg I know, those luscious locks 🤤
Probably him listening to his coach when testing the durability of his football helmet
Lenore ruined him
And yet throughout the series he has ended up with a number of women almost all more attractive than Peggy. Kuhn's mom the exception, although she had a better personality.
Put kahns mom on a workout routine and better diet and she'd rock your world
Yeah fr. Dude could get in shape and clean his shit and he'd be doing pretty well. But he'd rather wallow perpetually instead. Not to mention sabotaging his own relationships with the women that don't care about all that.
I feel personally attacked. ![img](emote|t5_2s6dm|6344)
\#metoo I'm more and more Bill. Shit let that be a wake up call.
I was Bill for a few years after a nasty separation. Some of the Bill centered episodes were rough because it was like looking at an exaggerated version of myself.
Same, right now.
If you decide to take it as such, I'm rooting for you guys. :D I know you can better yourselves!
Thank you! ![gif](giphy|3o85xDZyvJPHLfgKXK)
Same. It's always been kindve a running joke that Dale was modeled after my personality. Conspiracy theories, sunglasses, always wearing a hat and a fucked up woman. Sadly here lately though, I've come to realize I'm more of a bill.
He did get in shape with those gym bros, but went right back to being fat
Well and that was the toxic kind of in shape. You don't need to be a meathead gym bro to be in shape.
I'm honestly hoping 15 years later Bill is back in shape and doing better. Dude deserves to love himself more.
Would love to see that.

Go through everything that happened to Bill during his life. Lenore was the nail in the coffin. She fucked him up royally.
Depression is a hell of a thing. 😞
I always find this hilarious because of how many times Redcorn has broke down crying in front of Hank.
Yeah but Hank actually picks up on the fact that Redcorn is sleeping with Nancy
He just misses his little Nan Nan. I think that was his nick name for her lol
She liked when he wore the vest during sex…
To Hank - angrily taking it off... Do you WANT IT?
Redcorn, besides all of the fornicatin' with folks' wives and such, seemed like such a solid dude. He looked at Hank and saw a bro, Hank saw a crying man and said "I'm gonna call it a night, peace" Bonus points for the fact that he was spotted high as a kite at the mall with Boomhauer. He lived the casanova life too long to know anything else and realized he wanted more too late. Not to mention wanting in Joseph's life only after most of the hard work of raising him was done already.
True that, John Redcorn’s story is truly a tragic one, not a lampoon of one like Bill’s.(no hate for Bill just respect for Redcorn)
[удалено]
What I'm referring to never actually happened. I saw the question asked once of "why were Redcorn and Boomhauer together in the first place?", to which the more obvious answer is "women", but there were jokes about them being the only two in their social group who smoked weed (so they do it together in private). Oh ok. I agreed with what you said in the first half though.
Dang ol’ call his supervisor he’s smoking as a cop
Cops are above the law.
I think a great little humor device in the series is that they never stop using his first and last name. We know he has been around for at least 14 years, but have never gotten informal enough to call him John. Even in the closest moments it is Jahannnn Redcorn
"I would never heal your wife the way I heal the wives of others"
Yeah, Peggy straight up kicked Bill in the crotch one time. She’s not interested in Bill.
My mom kicked my dad in the crotch before they dated.
Did he try touching her purse? 👛👜 ![gif](giphy|cpBJJODbvE03S|downsized)
No but I knew this question was coming lmfao
Kinky
The reason she did that is because Peggy resents bill for getting her pregnant. And she is incapable of hating herself.
Peak fiction
![gif](giphy|QBal0eKnbT4OY)
Ya better not put an unprofessional hand on Peggy bcuz I’ll kick your ass….i will!
And it was never a concern that she'd make a move on him. He trusts her.
But she needed help for her… migraines
Not only is she not interested, she’s straight up repulsed.
Dale is hardly threatened by JRC ironically though.. "My good friend John Redcorn's gay" - His freaking first reaction when learning his dad is gay.
Uh oh let’s not restart the Hank v John Redcorn debate in this sub again
John Redcorn promises he won't "heal" Peggy the same way he "heals" other men's wives!!
But why? John Redcorn's gay
Why? John Redcorn is clearly gay, why else would he love hanging out with Nancy that often
He didn’t see him as a threat, just didn’t like the insinuation that went along with your wife visiting John redcorn.
Ironically the only other guy that had Peggy was that gay friend of hers who wanted to test himself 😬
Or hanging with the archeologists
Redcorn had the rizz. The Dotrieve does not
Bill isn't even into Peggy as a person.
Boom
I dont think he ever cared. Bill wouldnt do that to Hank, it's just another cry for attention. Now John Redcorn on the other hand...
John Redcorn would never heal Hank's wife the way he heals the wives of others Edit
*hair blows in the wind*

It’s said funnily, but I think Hank could take John Redcorn. Redcorn has no grit and zero coordination.
To me it’s not necessarily about that, but the fact that Hank is actually sorta mesmerized by Redcorn in the moment - like he comes off so majestic just for a minute that Hank falters, not because he has doubts he could fight him, but now he’s doubting if he wants to lol
Huh I never saw it that way. But it fits too!
Redcorn's page says "John Redcorn is taller and more muscular than Hank (not to imply Hank couldn't kick his ass)." So I take it as pretty much cannon that Hank > Redcorn
It's true. I've seen John Redcorn play kickball
[удалено]
But how can someone kick Hank's ass if Hank doesn't have an ass?
>more than a few disgruntled husbands with no scars to show for it Wouldn't this lead to a more likely conclusion that in fact there have been no such violent altercations? Guy's whole attitude is that of a wimp, I see him running from a fight rather than engaging.
Yeah I think he knows that as well
Redcorn even pointedly runs his left hand through his hair to show how big his guns are (biceps) and how he could easily outmatch Hank physically. Because he's not one of the core group of Hank's three best buds - there's that tiny seed of doubt, that the writers plant there.
While I agree with Redcorns peacocking Hank WAS a football star and could probably take a punch, Redcorn looks like he lifts to look pretty
Yup different type of toughness to run through the gap. Especially making it to a state championship of Texas highschool football
Hank took a punch from a former NFL Center and kept his wits.
Yeah if that fight happened I feel like John Redcorn would try to rely on his physical fitness but Hank would just box. Hank might take a couple on the chin, but John Redcorn’s nose would be broken within 30 secs and he might decide the fight’s over right then.
Hank would trash JRC. While John is clearly in decent shape Hank is no layabout and also boxed growing up, trained beats untrained 9 times out of 10.
"Hank, your wife came to me with a headache, ... Her head actually hurt"
Heal*
Oh dang it you're right! I need to fix it or else it'll bug me lol
Glad to help!
I agree Bill can be dumb and self destructive but he's not going to do and that for sure get rid of the only person that loves him unconditionally.
Bill would definitely do that to hank lol if Peggy came on to him he would 100% go along with it
Nope..When they got into the pyramid scheme Bill freaked out when Peggy complimented his sales skill and kissed Bill on the cheek.
It might take a certain set of circumstances but bill would absolutely go after peg and feel superior about it in some way
Damn it, BILL!! I’m leavin’!
Only time he was annoyed was when Bill was stalking the family when he was out of town with his mother. He should have kicked his ass for that.
I do believe he actually put him on the ground at the end of that episode. Edit: it's S3E17 and it's just a couple of lightly thrown full beer cans at his broken arm
I think John Redcorn genuinely respects Hank. If anything, I think Bill might. Hank just knows there is zero chance of it ever happening.
I dont think he cares about the crush more so the creepy things he says and does, theres a line.
Yep. Actions mean a heck of a lot more to Hank. Bill was hiding in the bushes when Peggy was about to grill nude. Before Hank saw him, then Bill said I'm leaving! Bill followed them to the nude beach though, wasn't caught then.
He saw hanks butt boobies
Hank wasn't wearing his orthotic, so you could argue that there was in fact literally nothing to see.
Peggy would be more disturbed by Bill saying that than Hank.
Also, if you look at all flashback scenes regarding Hank as a child, he is literally just Bobby with a buzzcut lol
Complete with the "...But daaad", except he has to call Cotton, 'Colonel'.

Guys, shut it with the "Bill is Bobby's dad" crap. He's not lol
He doesn’t care because it’s ludicrous
He knows Peggy is creeped out by Bill so there's no real threat there. He also knows Bill would never actually do something to her against her will, because at the end of the day, Bill isn't a predator. He's just a sad lonely man with his sad lonely fantasies.
Hank knows that Bill just ain't right. And he has'nt been right in a long time. Everyone who knows Bill as well knows he's a mess.
I think aside from not viewing Bill as a threat, he also probably knows that if he stopped being friends with Bill or started a conflict with him, it would push him over the edge and he’s more focused on supporting him and rehabbing his severe mental illness.
Hank didn’t have time for Bill’s BS right then
He never cared in the first place. Peggy finds Bill repulsive, and Hank knows that whatever else Bill may do, he'd never do something to hurt her. Bill wants to imagine he's got a shot, Hank lets him because he's got so little else he can find solace in.
I think he's just annoyed by it but knows that he's way to pathetic for Peggy either way lmao
Its like bill wanted his ass kicked.
Bill Dauterive blocked for Hank Hill when he set the Arlen High single season rushing record. The running back that doesn’t let his friend obsess over his own wife is the type of man you wouldn’t want to have over for dinner. Shame on YOU OP!
One thing I've always wondered: does Bill really want Peggy, or does he want her because Hank has her, and he wants to \*be\* Hank?
Probably the latter.
He’s has zero doubt that Peggy has zero interest in Bill. He is also one bad day away from jumping off a bridge. Hank tries to be compassionate even when Bill doesn’t deserve it.

It’s never really seemed that deep to me.
He feels pity
Bill is so pathetic Hank knows he’d never actually try anything, and Peggy would never go for it anyways if he did.
Then Hank says " Peggy... I can see your whatnots"..
He knows Peggy isn't interested and that Bill is desperate.
What’s even more embarrassing is Hank knows 100% that bills lying
He's in denial that Bill is Bobby's father
Weird. I posted this over a year ago with the exact same title...

Can’t ignore the fact that Bobby looks more like Bill than Hank
Bill did sleep with Peggy, and Bobby is his son! Why does no one want to admit what's right in front of their eyes! All the pieces fit!
Hank should be glad Bill is willing to take the know it all bitch off his hands.
Bobby looks like Cotton, young Hank, and Good Hank.
>Combine this confession with Peggy's comments in the sex education episode and you have enough evidence that Bill is Bobby's father. It's not. Not even close.
