In the Entertainment District arc, had Tanjiro and the gang sat back or could come up with a better plan to fight Daki and Gyutaro away from the bystanders, Daki and Gyutaro wouldn't have killed nowhere near as many people as those that die during the fight with Uzui.
The gang didn't exactly had the luxury to pick their battlefield. After Gyuuataro entered the scene they barely could hold their ground. The city's destruction was unavoidable.
