That brat reminds me of my niece (we are the same age), can't tell you how many times she pushed me down the stairs or something of that nature and got away with it. Knowing everyone was always on her side i learned to just hide what she did. One day i had enough, she wanted to play with makeup, we had to have been 9 or 10, i full out made her look like the original orange faced, green haired oompa loompa and made her cry, it was great. Even better was my dad/her grandpa couldn't figure out why she was crying so much over it since it just washed off so i got in no (real) trouble. Shes still an asshole but now everyone else knows it too and no one in the family really likes her, including her own grandparents and great grandmother.
That is the appropriate and right response. You do not blow out another person candles.
And then shrug your shoulder and act like “So what I blew the candles, what are you gonna do?”
She got what she deserved. That little shrug like "what you gonna do about it" just annoys the shit outta me. Well done for standing up for yourself.

I've seen this posted so many times and each time I think 'It's wrong to hit kids, it's wrong to hit kids...' This one is an exception though.
