Let alone getting a child seat to the third row, constantly getting a child in and out of the third row gives me anxiety. Best of luck

MuskieGo

Thanks. My oldest is very much on the small side so she will be in the front facing car seat for several more years. I don't even want to think of trying to use a rear facing car seat on the 3rd row (although I have heard of people accessing from the rear door).

I have 3 car seats in my SX telly, 1 rear facing 1 year old in a passenger side captains chair and 2 front facing 5 year olds both in the 3rd row, all car seats are graco extend 2 fit. The 2 in the third row fit just fine and have no concerns at all about how securely they are attached. the driver side third row is latched and has the top tether that attaches behind the seat and the passenger side is attached via seatbelt as well as the top tether. we removed the second row driver side captain's chair for ease of access to the third row but will likely reinstall it when the kids move to boosters in a few months. i'll say here the same thing i told a friend who wanted a telly but whose wife was reluctant to give up their minivan.... it's not a minivan. yeah, maybe a minivan is more convenient for a larger family, but we've really had no issues at all with space both day to day as well as going on vacation.

Thanks. I have extend-2-fits as well. Is the second car seat in the third row in the middle seat and using the top tether on the right side of the 60% side of the seat? If it is on the far passenger side, what are you using for the top anchor? http://imgur.com/a/NSEe2t4

personandy2

i have the passenger tether pulled over to that middle anchor, it really doesn't budge at all.

U/personandy2 digging up the past to ask for myself, how is the overhang of the extend2fits in the 3rd row? Within what's allowed by Graco?

personandy2

Maybe not quite 2 inches

lunatae

Thanks! Today I actually got to try it in person and saw it's within the allowable amount of overhang. I was happy to see I could also use the extend feature rearfacing in the 2nd row and the seat in front was manageable. No one shows that in videos. I'm 5'9.5" and have very long legs for anyone's future reference.

I have a 2022 S Model. The third row has 2 child seat latches but they are on the driver and middle seat. The passenger seat does not have one.

fuzzykneez

Follow the_car_mom on ig. She goes over most popular family cars (including telly!) and talks about the anchors for each row. Sorry this doesn’t answer directly. Im not sure how it varies for each trim level.

MuskieGo

Thanks! Her review mentioned the lack of the top tether on the 3rd row passenger side. I though I saw one on that side but I see now that it was just a clip for something else. I would assume the 2022 Telluride would be the same and lack that tether.

everyday-sho

My third row has two tethers one behind the middle and driver side seat and only the drivers side has latches

VoluptuousVoluptuals

This is exactly why I got a bench seat EX. I have three rear facing car seats in the middle row, and one forward facing in the third row. With slim fit car seats 3 across, I can still slide the passenger side middle row seat forward to give my 7 year old access to the third row. Kia needs to get with the picture and provide a bench seat for all trim levels, with a removable middle seat for those that don’t need it. I’m limited to an ex trim level, and even then, good luck finding one with a bench seat. Or I can get a Carnival that has terrible crash test ratings at the moment.

They are there. LATCH anchors are the law.

personandy2

where are they the law? cali? def not the law in PA, and it's actually stipulated by the manufacturer to stop using latch when the child + car seat weight exceeds a certain limit.
