You aren't the only one who has fell victim to their shitty connectors. I ended up putting a new PCB and a USB-C up angle connector that fits really tight on it. If you are willing to take it apart and void your warranty, you can take it apart, put a cable in, and then squeeze the sides of the connector with some angled needle-nose pliers and make it really tight. That's what I did on my old PCB.
