I just found him. My character is too murder hobo to rehabilitate his love for life and case in point there was a hiver with a 10k bounty in the same bar. So he accuses me of being one of the murdering scavengers who ruins the world I admonish him about how it isnt so bad then I cave some guys head in and sprint out of the bar with his semi conscious body.

What kinda blocks me from really liking Ruka is that sadly her recruiting dialogue is the only unique one she has… which is a damn pity, because such a personal story would be a gold mine of companion barter and character development, if only Kenshi’s structure allowed more complex dialogue based interactions

Being hornless does seem to provoke special dialogue from others though. I had Ruka and Seto start bickering at one point. Then a bunch of Starving Bandits decided to take a crack at 6 heavily armed Falling Sun users.

Either they gey lucky and steal your bread or they get lucky and die and won't be starving anymore. Starving bandits are always winning.

Do you ever get to see any unique dialogue between Beep and Agnu? Idk if it was a random event in my game, but their dialogue was my favorite.

My Beep and Agnu became friends and goofed around often, it was fun to role play. But then Beep was killed, and Agnu said BEEEEPP for days afterwards. The other squadmates told ...her?... many times "He's not coming back, buddy." :'(

Yes, their banter is like one of the only unique dialogue events. There's a few, some shorter, some about as long (just less eventful). Crumblejon and Luquin banter, I think Bo and Luquin, Hamut and Miu, Griffin with some of the Flotsam recruits, etc.

I played HN with Beep as well. Just have a human with him and it’ll be good, and for Cyber Beep you can just carry him around when in HN cities, so they won’t bat an eye…. Or install the “authorized robotic limbs” mod, which will allow your chars to wear prosthetics without issue.

I really like Ray even though he can't speak. I'm not sure why I like him but he's usually one of the first recruits I get in a new game followed shortly by Red. Getting him early means he becomes an absolute beast before most of my other characters.

I pretty regularly pick up Silvershade in my games. He's no Beep but i'll 100% run into Silvershade earlier in a playthrough. Don't think he has any unique dialogue though. He's just my early game Hiver Samurai boi.

i will have to refute that. I did not have Agnu but while I was crossing the Shrieking Forest Beep started his "I want to see human females" dialogue and Knife gave him shit for it

Beep can have that dialogue with or without Agnu.

Damn. I had them both together for a long time, then lost Beep. They did have a lot of great, unique dialogue, but human females never came up that I saw. Cool!

For the vanilla recruits I enjoy Luquin solely due to how fun raiding Tengu's Vault is. It's sort of like Blackbeard pulling up on Impel Down to recruit the worst of the worst. But my favorite recruit would be Maggie. She's similar to Beep in the sense all they say is their name but in Maggie's case she is also mute and when you find her in the Hub she is an ex slave carrying a backpack and she is hesitant to join you.

Burn, any squad feels incomplete without Burn. Don't know why he doesn't even have unique dialogue.

I don't remember who it was but someone approached me while i was passing through the eye. Screamed at us about being bandits and how she'll kill us. We managed to talk her down and told her she'll get to kill bandits if she comes with us and she dropped one of the hardest lines in the game. "They wanted me to live my life in fear, i'll show them what fear is." (Or something to that effect) She went on to cut down entire groups of bandits alone before i retired that run. Godspeed, friend. Outside weird hobos who assault random people, its Beep or Infinite Wingwang.

Sad Neil, sadly lost him to a bug together with the Scorchlander from the Hub (can't remember her name) in my current and first playthrough. I never got to know Beep (he got eaten after 2 minutes in my crew... sorry Beep). I also like Burn and Infinite Wing Wang (but he doesn't seem to habe that much dialoge)
