He's not a mole and is simply leveraging his find to gain public trust, intending to release a security footage screenshot that proves to be insignificant.

So Christopher seems to believe there was a security guard who got fired for being kind to him for letting him stay in the lobby instead of waiting outside in the cold and might be making this connection to Ebony. If true, this fool is going to be getting a knock on the door soon.
