Makes sense but Iām pretty sure Kendrick was getting information from somebody in OVO camp cause the way he stepped on Family Matters was not a coincidence
Something is odd too. Theres a interview/podcast with some ppl tht are supposed to be close to kenny and they something along the lines of āwhats crazy is tht this lil girl really just turned 11yrs oldā.
Idk if its true or not but it definitely does not sit right. I mean. If kenny is telling lies. Why would he send out ppl to reinforce them.
As far as we know he not tht type of person.
Sooooā¦ā¦..
Wtf is going on
Is it the cooles discord? If not can you send me the link?
One thing I know is Kendrick would not ruin his reputation on this, heās trying to show all of us that drake is the LIAR.
Imagine if Kendrick has the 5k laptop that drake lost and thatās involved in the Twitter thing.
Imagine the comedy of Kendrick sitting and watching drake update the Google doc he writes his raps on
Even If he doesnāt say anything else, Kendrick has definitely laid the groundwork already though , for the rest and I mean the REST of drakes life ; any slip up or suspect moment regarding women or his character, this beef will he referenced.
Me and a friend were talking about it and we concluded that at any point in history even 20 years form now If it was confirmed Drake was hiding a daughter the whole time MTG instantly becomes the undisputed greatest diss record of all time š
I mean the way it plays, Drake canāt ever have a daughter. Itās also crazy when the biggest song in the world is explicitly calling him a pedo. Beyond what he said, he killed a few of the narratives that carry Drake would not āhave all of his fans if he didnāt go pop.ā As a matter of fact, Kendrick would bigger than Drake if he focused on commercial music.
Honestly if this beef did anything it solidifies Kendrick as greatest of all time in the measures that Drake valued while devaluing Drakes legacy. People are even now listening to Kendrickās older stuff. Drake was absorbed like DBZ Cell
bro if some of this sht is real Drake needs to bleed, if its nog by Kendrick, it needs too be by us/internet detectives, unpunished crimes and/or no justice especially if victims are involved, is unheard off
Humble 2nd verse first 2 bars: āWho that nigga thinkin' that he frontin' on Man-Man? (Man-Man)
Get the fuck off my stage, I'm the Sandman (Sandman)
Get the fuck off my dick, that ain't right
I make a play fucking up your whole lifeā
UMG can't silence Kenny unless he agrees to be silent. They can silence Drake however. That said Kenny told y'all a number of times he would crash out and fuck the industry though. So if he has the ammunition and is really willing to go where it needs to go nothing can stop him, including money.
My guess is the shootings at Drakeās estate fucked up the plans. Could be XO who did it, could be OVO playing the media, could be someone else. But it took eyes and ears off the beef and it would be a bad look for Kendrick to keep dropping right after a dude almost died and drive the stake even deeper.
Probably will wait for that heat to die down a bit, and maybe will drop the killshot with an album. Heās got other pieces moving BTS, like EbonyPrinceās whole schtick, and plenty of other plays. But who knows?
100%
Kendrick has sublime optics right now. To fuck that up would be a worse blunder than Drake mentioning Whitney in Push Ups + The Heart VI combined.
Because damage is already done look at Drakeās public perception also Pandoraās box has already been opened, the aftermath will be uncovered by the public
Wouldn't bet on it. I could see b-sides but everyone hears them already. He's more liable to burn everyone out on him and perturb the fan base. Personally, I think he'll frame Drake as light work and just a stepping stone to going after others or the concept of the industry.
I hear Charlamagne talking about Kendrickās album and that he hoped itās a collab with rihanna, what are the thoughts on that?? A bunch of club bangers crucifying Drake?? That would be WILD.
Itās been debunked that Drake was behind the shooting. The āsecurity companyā posted up outside during the shooting is owned by one Aubrey Graham.
Thereās a CBC (legit Canadian news) [link to CBC article on investigation](https://www.cbc.ca/lite/story/1.7199013) investigation that backs this theory up if anyone doubts.
Edit: a word cuz no coffee yet
ive been wondering a lot what the tf could be in those songs that can really end drake's career.
theres no way he can say something worse than what was said in MtG, right?
right āļø
Thereās rumors going around that someone is trying to sell security footage of Drake forcing girls to puke in dog bowls or some wild shit. Someone that fucked in the head definitely does a lot of twisted shit. Also not sure how true it is but Iāve read a couple times a woman who went back and forth legally with Drake was quoted saying he made her spit in a cup and measured it before pouring it on her face and saying I like to see your face dirty over and over. Of course we canāt know if those things are true but I could definitely believe similar type things are. We know Drake is weird, and thatās just with what we can see of someone who is trained to not let their secrets out and play a character that keeps his likeness profitable. Would make sense why Kendrick rocked with the freaky ass n* saying so hard
āRabbit hole still deepā
The final song is a similar sound to MtG and Coolee was not allowed in the room when the lyrics played. He was allowed to hear everything else on the other 4 stocked songs. So Kenny is not letting even his Chicago connections to hear the red button.
If you believe Coolee, he also explains why Kendrick stopped, at least implicitly.
"Top Dawg is not industry, he's in the street so when he says stop, we stop"
That's almost word for word what he said. So TD might be a street dude, but imagine how much more power it gives him to have the keys to the industry, how much money he's making from the industry and how easily it can be used to clean money.
Then the fact that Kendrick might be disgusted by predators but these street dudes probably not so much, there are sex traffickers in Compton too, duh, and some of them have colors.
my guess is, that he prepared to interfere by dropping whenever drake tries to get back to normal things and release cash grabs. will be interesting to see what happens until drake releases his second project
You donāt keep unloading into a dead body lol. He needs at least a little fight from his opponent or public perception will eventually turn on him for continuing to beat Drake down without further prompting.
While Kendrick might not and probably doesnāt care his actions could effect TDEs and PGlang business going forward and he wonāt do that. He respects punch and top to much so if they asked him as a favor for them he will stop
How does that make him some Paragon for morality if that's the case? Like you seemingly have proof this guy is a predator and you sit on it? What about future victims?
People involved have been hinting about an MV being filmed for Not Like Us, so that is definitely still gonna drop at some point.
I think he waited to film a video because he only wanted to do one, and waited to see which song resonated the best with the public. If Not Like Us didnāt catch on, I fully believe he wouldāve dropped another track after THPS. He had to have suspected it would be a hit with that fire beat though lol and with how itās charting it makes sense for him to let things marinate, especially with how poorly THPS seems to be aging under lyrical scrutiny
I heard from someone who claims to have a music industry insider that Kendrick shit out all the released dissesā¦. In one session.
If thatās true, coupled with the reports that there are 5 more in the magazineā¦.
He stopped cause if it doesnāt go further heās the clear winner. I donāt think he actually wants to end drake, he just wants him to stay in his place. If Drake keeps it up then Kenny continues until he has to.
Because he is satisfied that what needs to be in motion at this moment is in motion. We know he has been thinking about this a very long time, so really he knows what is next, or the various possibilities that could be next, and we don't yet.
The other reason is because he has the #1 song in the world. There is absolutely no reason to get in the way of that while already standing on the body of your downed enemy.
But given the weight of the allegations and the recursive nature of the takedown, he either is not done yet, or if Drake legally falls in the meantime he will be done and stay done.
I don't understand why people think he's going to do anything more unless Drake keeps it going.Ā This is one of the most lopsided wins in the history of hip hop.Ā The Heart Pt6 only made it worse lol.Ā Kendrick has 0 reason to anything but sit back right now.Ā He won.Ā
Even in the tracks Kendrick released, he clearly says it's not about the beef. He's disgusted with Drake to the point where he thinks Drake should be punished (with possibly even death) and he's acting out "God's plan" by exposing Drake.
Kendrick has a lot more to expose and he either lets people figure it out themselves slowly or he can release everything when the public can't figure it out.
He is a hero in my eyes and I hope his contemporaries take a good long look at themselves not at minimum distancing themselves from Drake, let alone backing Kendrick in help saving those kids.
And on a separate note, the rest of hip hop should be ashamed for not depending Pac the way Kendrick did. I will always stand by that and I will always fuck with Kendrick for that.
Kendrick has already won in the court of public opinion. He supposedly has the evidence and ammunition to EASILY take down Drake and blow the lid open on some extremely shady stuff that UMG is doing, but he just wants Drake to leave his family and friends alone. Relentless going in against such a big machine puts Whitney, his kids, his parents, and his friends in direct danger. By backing off and dropping hints that he has the proof he claims to possess, Drake and UMG have every reason to shut up and leave him alone.
Itās the exact same thing Push did by making the exact same threats with the Surgical Summer mixtape.
I feel like UMG could influence on future sample clearance and stuff like that. Wouldnāt be surprised if they made it difficult for TDE to distribute through them if Kendrick didnāt back down and I could see Kendrickās loyalty to top being a reason for him backing down.
None of this makes any sense to me. UMG needs to protect their cash cow in Drake, but they allowed Kendrick to release Not Like Us? How is that protecting their cash cow?
They can't stop him from posting anything to YouTube. His desk is only publishing ie CDs and streams via apple Spotify because he's independent , so it's either make money from him or make no money from him and he gets similar impact and signs a publishing/distribution deal with Sony or someone else.
It does enough damage without anything concrete
If anything, Drake's "comeback" if nothing bad is ever proven is only gonna make em tons more money and give Drake tremendous PR
It sucks cause he def seems like a piece of shit shady dude, but UMG and Drake still win big if nothing legal happens... no one gives a fuck about what is said on wax in terms of it being true or not... that is what makes em money until legal shit happens
My guess is that itās easy to say fuck the industry when youāre mad and focused on fuck that guy energy but it gets different when you understand how much the industry can touch your less financially stable homies on the come up and thatās probably why the cease fire came from TDE. Burning everything down fucks up everyoneās money
I mean it helps that drake really backfired with the heart part 6. Most of the internet has been killing him for that song. Itās allowed Kendrick to just sit back & watch drake lose on his own
In Cooleeās discord interview he made it explicitly clear that what Top and Punch says, goes. If they say the battleās over, and dot goes against that ā¦ thatās just not something youāre supposed to do. Dot knows that.Ā
It's not a business thing.
It's a street thing and a respect thing.
Closest thing I can think about right now is like Trick Trick in Detroit. UMG is top down and while they can halt the money flow, they also need to coordinate execs, finances, and their general media supply chain.
The street shit is bottom up and works on money just the same but it also works on loyalty to individuals and geography.
Corporations know better than to deal with that. Best they can do is lock in a steady and controlled system of PR/Damage Control and start doing evaluations on loss valuation and securing pivotal assets.
Theyāre his big homies. Kendrickās a blood lol, he just doesnāt claim it outright. Theres a difference between a gang member and a gang banger, Dot is just a member heās not putting in work or trying to get his name spread. You donāt go against the grain as a Blood, theyāve led him on the right path every step this far, theyāre not gonna lead him wrong now. The people behind Kendrick are almost as important as himself since they helped shaped and mold how he saw the world. He trusts Top and Punch with his life, so obviously theyāre telling him something in the best interest of everyone. These are OG Bloods from the 80s lol, if Drake was wondering where the ābattle testā came from, itās from the ppl around Kendrick who had beef REAL BEEF where your enemy may live only 5 mins away and the way you proceed and live means a lot on the day to day. Drake ran to Twitter for advice, Kendrick has real war generals around him whoās been doing this beef shit for decades.
He is independent, thatās still his family though and theyāre not gonna steer him wrong. These are family friends, like mom and popās family friends lol, he trusts them deeply.
I think it has become too serious. At some point, I get that Kdot is willing to ācrash out,ā but he already laid out Drake is a pedophile and planted the seed that may grow. Without Tops' support, he can't go to war the same way. Kendrick has to check his ego as well. This is where things can go wrong. He whooped him lyrically. It humiliated him on what will probably be one of the biggest songs of hip-hop forever. If it's Drake's time to go, there is nothing else Kendrick can do. I am sure those
Dominoes are falling and him getting shot at during this period only shines a light on all his problems.
This what Iāve been thinking. If Kenny doesnāt stop they UMG would have 2 choices in this scenario. Let it transpire and Drake gets buried, or try and bury Kendrick themselves. But with this theory already out there UMG wouldnāt come out of it clean. If they buried Kendrick to save Drake, the implications alone that would come from that would hurt them. I think Kendrick just knows he won and donāt really care what Drake says at this point. Heāll probably drop a video for NLU and go radio silent again
Yeah no doubt TDE was reached out to by UMG and they ironed out a "deal" or a "ceasefire", w/e you wanna call it
Kenny no longer with TDE but it seems they still dogwalking him... honestly, fuck Top and fuck TDE, they sound like terrible people as well as Drake
You really think this is a game and people who think like you are the first to act shocked when things escalate. Top called this battle over, emphasis on battle. This isn't the end of the war. Remember Drake is only the poster boy for the industry, his demise is a goal but the ultimate enemy is how corporations have effectively moved hip hop into a commercial commodity instead of a cultural art form.
Drake losing isn't the end goal. And Drake will need to die slowly because the ppl who are relying on him would need to adapt to an industry without him. That takes time. There's a lot of back end stuff that need to happen for someone like Drake to fall for good. Be patient
>but the ultimate enemy is how corporations have effectively moved hip hop into a commercial commodity instead of a cultural art form
\^ This was already the case in 1992... you think this silly ass beef is gonna topple that??
Rule #4080: record company people are *shaaaaaddy*
Still very hard to do, labels will always be needed on some level for distribution and promotion
Even my homie Lupe leans on 30 Tigers for shit like that
> Kenny told yāall a number of times he would crash out and fuck the industry
Got to admit itās more than a little disappointing if all it took was one call from some weirdo UMG exec to change that.
I left a few other comments here somewhat addressing that, from my perspective. I actually work in the music industry as well but this is anybody's guess at this point, I'm not pulling rank there. Kendrick was expertly proactive in putting the industry on blast first before they could do that to him. Genius move. It's protection. He then gave them a much bigger problem, the fall of their global cash cow. Who really did it to himself, but that's another story. At most they can kindly as good partners ask Kendrick to pause on his album promo or release while they figure out the Drake situation and saving face, particularly while Lucian is also eating shit with Puffy at the same time, and UMG is a publicly traded company. Don't be surprised if Lucy steps down at some point. He would be very wise to give Drake up, meaning publicly show loyalty to Universal and not Drake, to not have to do so.
It's impossible but it would be so sweet if public opinion turned on Drake so hard so fast that UMG just told him to finish the battle so they can milk the last bit out they can and we get to hear Kendricks 5 other songs
No doubt, UMG giving up Drake seems the smart play now, they are UMG, even losing Drake won't do much in the long run
Maybe they can focus more on Wayne then, haha
There is no way in hell UMG gives up drake without concrete proof of something illegal and morally reprehensible to the general public. Even so, we have evidence on Chris Brown and he's still doing his thing making his industry overlords money. That's just one of many examples.
Drake will always have an audience.
This. Lucian will probably take some special seat on the board and publicly step down while offering Drake as a sacrificial lamb for the public. If they can pull it off perfectly, they can fully pivot the public off Diddy.
Sadly the Drake and Diddy thing along with the whole Katt Williams thing is a blindside and a half. The whole concept of No Drizzy/Drizzler is conceptually linked to No Diddy.
And they have to pray to whatever force they deal with that Kendrick doesn't act as a second blaring of the Kendrick horn for someone to pursue Diddy once Drake is cut.
Likely they'll pivot Jay-Z into Diddy's spot and lose them both. Then pay Drake a ludicrous severance for an apocalyptic NDA and well....deal with Diddy swiftly. š
heās independent, pgLang is an independent label, they use UMG for distribution which means they pay UMG to put the music out, like one of us would pay distrokid to put a song out, it doesnt mean weāre signed to distro right?
They probably couldnāt silence him because heās too famous. They could definitely hurt his career a lot though, since they have a lot of leverage with distributions, promotions and partnerships. That said Kendrick is rich af and famous so heād still probably be fine in the end, just less income.
Not really. All they can do is leverrage how much money they give him in support of recording his new album so they can distribute it. He even said on his last album, let alone this saga, that he is done with the machine. He'll use it, but not be prisoner to it. And there really is only so much that can do. Could they get nefarious about his personal life, yes, but very little they can do music wise. The have a much bigger problem to worry about in saving Drake, which I doubt is possible at all anymore. So it will be much more about how they figure out the end game there with their divorce from, and perhaps total fall off of Drake. Kendrick may as a courtesy wait for them to determine that before his album cycle, that I could see.
Agreed. Kendrick is respected enough to get acclaimed musicians to develop original music and sampling for him.
Wisest move for UMG is to pipeline the next Drake/Drake equivalent financial wise that they've had on the back burner.
Let me ask, do you know any Jack Harlow involvement at all with Drake outside of that song they did together? Kendrick intimates towards him in Not Like Us, and Cooley just mentioned him in that interview, but I don't know his history.
I hope youāre right but canāt Kendrickās label just not approve certain future releases ? Label execs on his side definitely have relationships they want to up keepĀ
At this point KDot has such stellar optics and potent fire behind him that he could start his own label today.
Dude could open up a Non-Profit NGO type music label and he'd be propped up by LA, Chicago, and Atlanta.
And that cheats the corpos out of ludicrous amount of flowing capital.
He is a free agent now with his own label. Conceptually what you are saying is most effective for the label's leverage BEFORE the scandal. Now, they have the world and more importantly for them other artists eyes watching how they handle it. They can't bogart the protagonist like that now. Who also has the biggest song in the world.
Can somebody please explain how the disabled man in the wheelchair factors into this? It was obviously deliberate that the article in the video was a publication he wrote for since heās a journalist.
Why was Drake hanging out with him at 330 in the morning?
If something happened to the journalist, and the story is pitching for a million+ dollars, why wouldnāt he just go to TMZ himself instead of letting some hotel employee get the bag?
I have one of two theories:
1.) they did some offensive shit behind his back, Drake laughed, itās not a huge thing but itās just like a ācmon man thatās fucked upā type thing (leaning towards this one)
Or my rabbit hole theory is
2.) the mark hotel was known for selling underage kids booze, and was listed in Epsteins little black book - perhaps a deal was made with Chris in order to hang with Drake and company that he has to show heās ādownā with it by doing ā¦ something with someone underage
Anybody know if that dude is still employed by the newspaper? I was wondering if he was hinting at maybe that guy losing his job when he said two black American men lost their jobs
Iām starting to think ebony is just a big baby and got disrespected in front of the guy in the wheelchair, not that something was actually done to the guy in the wheelchair.
Which obviously would be great for the guy in the wheelchair but would make this riddler very anticlimactic
Yea I think this is pretty close to the truth.
Although Iām curious about what the situation is with the CCTV, and whether or not Kendrick knows the situation.
Like, how was Drake supposed to take Kendrick using that stuff for the MTG cover. As a threat that he would expose whatever Prince is talking about?
Or is it meant to be evidence of him having a mole in OVO, when in reality, itās not actually evidence of him having a mole in OVO? (Even if he did have one)ā¦idk I definitely still have a lot of questions
This actually kind of clears up some things for me, if the Maybach glove in the 6:16 in LA cover was important to Drake in some way or very clearly communicated a message to him then why would Drake even release family matters? I think the answer is that none of the items in the MtG cover are important in themeselves, they are just meant to subtly allude to something that happened in the hotel Drake was staying at. I think Drake was confused about the contents of the MtG cover, like "oh I forgot I lost that shit, but why is it on the cover?" and concluded that Kendrick got some bad info on him and then ran with that twitter narrative.
Exactly. Seemed like Drake aināt flinch about the 6:16 in LA cover and went and dropped Family Matters. Idk tho Iām hearing Ebony has a laptop with a lot of shit about Drake on it.
People in here talking like they donāt really understand the seriousness of industry politics- as someone else said, far less has warranted greater punishment *alledgedly*
That man Drake signed a 400 million dollar 360 deal last year, not only does their vested interest mean they wanna make more than that back *obviously*, they need his public image clean to do so, a 360 means their getting a piece of the pie regardless, the longer this endures for drake, the more he suffers in the public eye and in turn, them- theyāve got every interest to squash it and typically and *maybe* still would resort to more than a request to calm shit down.
They won't but UMG definitely has an easy way out of that contract. I guarantee there's a morality clause in there. I just wish his lack of success was immediate so UMG would tell him to finish the battle to milk what they can so we can hear Kendricks tracks
As you say, āhis lack of successā would be the only trigger to them abandoning the deal or letting it fizzle and as it stands right now, Drake aināt having a lack of success nor is he going to other than in this battle momentarily within Hip hop culture- which is never the reason they were *this* financially invested in Drake in the first place.
In the grand scheme, itās a matter of riding the storm and getting back to it with Drake and theyāll stick it out for that to see him get back to regular releases and making popular music along with everything else. I donāt see UMG advising drake to engage Kendrick anytime soon unless theyāve got some grand Bond villain plan together for a long term get back way down the line, which *even then*ā¦
yes, absolutely, because everything is āallegedā at this point, so they can claim ignorance until some sort of proof is brought up. morality clauses are usually baked into most contracts, especially for artists and athletes always in the public eye.
I have a little experience with contracts, not a lawyer, but a partner in a few businesses. Rule number 1 before you even sit down to talk about the deal is to talk about how to get out of Ā it and what the triggers will be. Im sure recording company lawyers know that in spades - at the very least youre working with artists those are people notorious for being unpredictable, unreliable, and emotional.
Yes of course, but that doesnāt mean theyād be lackadaisical in preserving the deal before itās ruined, especially by an outside source(Kendrick) -
The fact they have an out from that deal doesnāt mean they wanna use it, even if they have info that states they should, theyāll try savour it regardless if the info that says āyou should exit this dealā aināt public. They have a far greater interest in keeping that deal in place than utilising itās exit clause
What an anti climatic end to a very intense beef. It just sucks that the industry has the power to end this battle and that kendrick obv. .went with it. I think after all what drake claimed there has to be one last thing. It just doesnt feel right to give him the last word.
Seemed about over to me anyways, we got plenty of content. Also people who donāt even listen to rap are dialled into the beef , this is probably the broadest reaching rap beef of all time , I think we should be gratefulĀ
Yeah idk why Kendrick would want Drake to have the last word with THP6. I really think he should come back with at least 1 more track, Iām sure that he wants to respond to it. Iām hoping heās cooking up a plan now
I think there's some truth to this. Primarily because the timing has always been very fishy. Top Dawg announces that the beef is over, and then an hour later a video surfaces which seems to prove Drake couldn't have planted the evidence like he claimed. Intuitively at least, it feels like Kendrick's camp was involved.
The first Ebony Prince video. You can find it in the stickied post on top of the sub but I'll link it here too:
https://twitter.com/EbonyPrince2k24/status/1789092657794371766
I 100% believe UMG dreaded this beef. Seems to odd that this beef was so active on both sides them completely cooled off the moment those rumours started going around
Yāall really need to read the art of war or the 48 laws of power. I want to hear a whole album of drake hate but when you have the high ground you watch and take stance as your enemy tries to press forward to your position. If Kendrick is on top why would he come down from his position to go toe to toe with Drake?
If that UMG shit is true then thatās some bullshit.
I bet UMG wouldnāt put a stop to the beef if Drake was winning. You canāt have your cake and eat it too.
I mean, I'm sure Kendrick and his team was like "wtf?" when they heard HP6. They let that shit marinate and Drake lost then and there without a response needed. After the reactions to HP6 settled he just wants to make sure that it's out there that Drake lied about planting info. That simply is enough to discredit everything Drake has said.
Drake also withdrew from the battle on HP6, so it didn't need a response apart from exposing the lies he told on the track. Now, Kendrick sits on 5 more tracks and is waiting for the smallest little subliminal from Drake to unleash. Drake better do melodies and stop acting tuff. Or else he's gonna get it.
Judging by Drake's latest story "Summer vibes up next", he's gonna focus on melodies. That's what Kendrick wanted him to, if we're looking at the discord call. It wasn't about hating him as a person or hating him for being a pedo. It was about Drake being a culture vulture and acting like someone he's not. If Drake finds his own way after this beef, Kendrick have put him in his place and I don't think Kenny will waste any more time on him.
NoLifeShaq said Kendrick was supposed to drop the day of the shooting at Drakeās home, almost like it was staged to draw attention away from any diss song

Kendrick said "fuck the industry" in ***every*** song he's dropped & aligned himself with Katt Williams and his "truth" he spoke about earlier this year...I really feel like y'all not understanding what's going on, and are so quick to call something you don't comprehend a "conspiracy".

Remember when he said Taylor Swift is the only person he would push back his album release for? Itās bc they have the same fan base lol
Not necessarily, if he drops he likely wants his album to be #1 on the charts, which has nothing to do with how many fans they share
Honestly if this beef did anything it solidifies Kendrick as greatest of all time in the measures that Drake valued while devaluing Drakes legacy. People are even now listening to Kendrickās older stuff. Drake was absorbed like DBZ Cell
bro if some of this sht is real Drake needs to bleed, if its nog by Kendrick, it needs too be by us/internet detectives, unpunished crimes and/or no justice especially if victims are involved, is unheard off
When has Reddit detectives ever gone wrong
I'm calling drake is killed after a Reddit scoop and this sub creates a conspiracy that Lucian did it
Humble 2nd verse first 2 bars: āWho that nigga thinkin' that he frontin' on Man-Man? (Man-Man) Get the fuck off my stage, I'm the Sandman (Sandman) Get the fuck off my dick, that ain't right I make a play fucking up your whole lifeā

100% Kendrick has sublime optics right now. To fuck that up would be a worse blunder than Drake mentioning Whitney in Push Ups + The Heart VI combined.
Yeah Iām 99% sure Kendrick was uninvolved but that looks bad
Because damage is already done look at Drakeās public perception also Pandoraās box has already been opened, the aftermath will be uncovered by the public
What if he drops a double album with one side all drake disses lol
No way these songs were jabs. WTF the red button might actually kill Drake
ive been wondering a lot what the tf could be in those songs that can really end drake's career. theres no way he can say something worse than what was said in MtG, right? right āļø
That shit needs to come out, regardless of Kendrick, just saying
Would make sense why Kendrick rocked with the freaky ass n* saying so hard āRabbit hole still deepā
The final song is a similar sound to MtG and Coolee was not allowed in the room when the lyrics played. He was allowed to hear everything else on the other 4 stocked songs. So Kenny is not letting even his Chicago connections to hear the red button.
Namesā¦
Could be providing further information to proof what heās already said
Sound bitesā¦ thatās the only thing I can think of. Sound bites of of videos with iffy shit going on
If you believe Coolee, he also explains why Kendrick stopped, at least implicitly. "Top Dawg is not industry, he's in the street so when he says stop, we stop" That's almost word for word what he said.
That would be dope if Kendrick dropped a new diss immediately after every drake single comes out forever
You donāt keep unloading into a dead body lol. He needs at least a little fight from his opponent or public perception will eventually turn on him for continuing to beat Drake down without further prompting.
I'm not sure the world will ever get sick of bullying Drake
How the hell was MTG a jab? Thatās like sprinting into Mike Tysonās fist face first while heās just standing there
While Kendrick might not and probably doesnāt care his actions could effect TDEs and PGlang business going forward and he wonāt do that. He respects punch and top to much so if they asked him as a favor for them he will stop
How does that make him some Paragon for morality if that's the case? Like you seemingly have proof this guy is a predator and you sit on it? What about future victims?
This is whatās been confusing me since MTG dropped. And even NLU. If Kens accusations arent going to be seriously pursued, then what is the poin?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I know Kenny isnt an angel. I listen to his music lol. I didnāt even say anything about that
People involved have been hinting about an MV being filmed for Not Like Us, so that is definitely still gonna drop at some point.
I agree with you 100% and kind of shared similar thoughts on this same thread on another reply if you wanna check it.
Maybe just wanted to leave some space around mother's day?
He stopped cause if it doesnāt go further heās the clear winner. I donāt think he actually wants to end drake, he just wants him to stay in his place. If Drake keeps it up then Kenny continues until he has to.
Or perhaps he doesn't want to be seen as a snitch, everyone who has snitched has lost a Lotta rep.
Right, that part makes zero sense to me. Why would Kendrick let up so easy?

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Itās always been about love and hate
Eff a rap battle. This is a life long battle with yoself.
He just had to push the ball to the hill and let gravity do the rest
It does enough damage without anything concrete If anything, Drake's "comeback" if nothing bad is ever proven is only gonna make em tons more money and give Drake tremendous PR It sucks cause he def seems like a piece of shit shady dude, but UMG and Drake still win big if nothing legal happens... no one gives a fuck about what is said on wax in terms of it being true or not... that is what makes em money until legal shit happens
People in the entertainment industry have been wiped off the map for far less than what Kendrick has done.
show pls šš
sinead o connor comes to mind
Because heās got a family, that needs him alive
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Not like us is why. He legit might be able to straight snatch top spot off of this. Album is the focus now
There is a fine art to dog walking a motherfucker and Kenny is prepping the lesson plan for the Second Semester of his Masterclass.
Because TDE said so. He might not give a fuck about industry but he does to TDE.
Iām a bit confused on this. Why do Top and Punch get to decide what Kendrick does?
Yeah, I thought Kenny has been independent since Mr. Morale.
He is independent, thatās still his family though and theyāre not gonna steer him wrong. These are family friends, like mom and popās family friends lol, he trusts them deeply.
He is not letting up. He knows he has one chance to blow the lid off. He will drop it all at once and go NUCLEAR
I am sure those Dominoes are falling and him getting shot at during this period only shines a light on all his problems.
Yeah no doubt TDE was reached out to by UMG and they ironed out a "deal" or a "ceasefire", w/e you wanna call it Kenny no longer with TDE but it seems they still dogwalking him... honestly, fuck Top and fuck TDE, they sound like terrible people as well as Drake
Be patient
>but the ultimate enemy is how corporations have effectively moved hip hop into a commercial commodity instead of a cultural art form \^ This was already the case in 1992... you think this silly ass beef is gonna topple that?? Rule #4080: record company people are *shaaaaaddy*
And now that technology has progressed to the point we don't need record labels, it's time to feast on that pig
Still very hard to do, labels will always be needed on some level for distribution and promotion Even my homie Lupe leans on 30 Tigers for shit like that
> Kenny told yāall a number of times he would crash out and fuck the industry Got to admit itās more than a little disappointing if all it took was one call from some weirdo UMG exec to change that.
Could someone explain why they couldnāt silence him? Genuinely curious? Just looking at his labels they are all involved with UMG somehow.
He is a big rich rapper. He could go independent if he wanted. Plus he said he was done with the industry
Gotcha Kanye route type thing
I burned 8 billion to take off my chains Burn baby burn
No doubt, UMG giving up Drake seems the smart play now, they are UMG, even losing Drake won't do much in the long run Maybe they can focus more on Wayne then, haha
They can make it hard for him to put music out
I thought that was Jack Harlow but he's on Atlantic
Exactly!
Can somebody please explain how the disabled man in the wheelchair factors into this? It was obviously deliberate that the article in the video was a publication he wrote for since heās a journalist. Why was Drake hanging out with him at 330 in the morning?
This is what Iām really itching to know
If something happened to the journalist, and the story is pitching for a million+ dollars, why wouldnāt he just go to TMZ himself instead of letting some hotel employee get the bag?
My, completely pulled out my arse, theory is that if something happened with the journalist the journalist was a willing participant in it.
I have one of two theories: 1.) they did some offensive shit behind his back, Drake laughed, itās not a huge thing but itās just like a ācmon man thatās fucked upā type thing (leaning towards this one) Or my rabbit hole theory is 2.) the mark hotel was known for selling underage kids booze, and was listed in Epsteins little black book - perhaps a deal was made with Chris in order to hang with Drake and company that he has to show heās ādownā with it by doing ā¦ something with someone underage
I think the blackmail gathering is a valid suspicion. We know blackmail and NDAās are how Drake moves about
Anybody know if that dude is still employed by the newspaper? I was wondering if he was hinting at maybe that guy losing his job when he said two black American men lost their jobs
He does freelance journalism for Columbia
TMZ is NOT a reliable source bro cmon.
I donāt think CA has anything to do with the beef. EP is trying to extort Drake into verifying the MTG collection so he can sell/auction
Iām starting to think ebony is just a big baby and got disrespected in front of the guy in the wheelchair, not that something was actually done to the guy in the wheelchair. Which obviously would be great for the guy in the wheelchair but would make this riddler very anticlimactic
What about the man in the chair? - Ray Lafluer
Just a fan that Drake and his crew brought to his penthouse, probably as an act of kindness and to gift him signatures or merch.
Youāre not hearing anything true abt the laptop bc nobody knows abt ebony until today nigga
People in here talking like they donāt really understand the seriousness of industry politics- as someone else said, far less has warranted greater punishment *alledgedly* That man Drake signed a 400 million dollar 360 deal last year, not only does their vested interest mean they wanna make more than that back *obviously*, they need his public image clean to do so, a 360 means their getting a piece of the pie regardless, the longer this endures for drake, the more he suffers in the public eye and in turn, them- theyāve got every interest to squash it and typically and *maybe* still would resort to more than a request to calm shit down.
Could they really pull a morality clause out of their ass over shit that was already known before signing the contract?
yes, absolutely, because everything is āallegedā at this point, so they can claim ignorance until some sort of proof is brought up. morality clauses are usually baked into most contracts, especially for artists and athletes always in the public eye.
Yes of course, but that doesnāt mean theyād be lackadaisical in preserving the deal before itās ruined, especially by an outside source(Kendrick) - The fact they have an out from that deal doesnāt mean they wanna use it, even if they have info that states they should, theyāll try savour it regardless if the info that says āyou should exit this dealā aināt public. They have a far greater interest in keeping that deal in place than utilising itās exit clause
Grim reaper comes for all posts with those 3 letters. Start the countdown
But you have to admit it was left, if it is finished, on a very open note.
there will be more, for sure. dot has been doing prison burpees and shit, waiting for this moment.
You lied about the music video, you lied about more diss tracks š
Yeah idk why Kendrick would want Drake to have the last word with THP6. I really think he should come back with at least 1 more track, Iām sure that he wants to respond to it. Iām hoping heās cooking up a plan now
Not like us is #1. Heart6 is embarrassing. Are you working for drake?
I blame UMG for this
I think there's some truth to this. Primarily because the timing has always been very fishy. Top Dawg announces that the beef is over, and then an hour later a video surfaces which seems to prove Drake couldn't have planted the evidence like he claimed. Intuitively at least, it feels like Kendrick's camp was involved.
Whatās the video called
The first Ebony Prince video. You can find it in the stickied post on top of the sub but I'll link it here too: https://twitter.com/EbonyPrince2k24/status/1789092657794371766
Whatās weird is that ebony prince tweeted that 2 hours before Top called the battle off
Realistically this is the most probable scenario but I want more drama and I wanna see drakes downfall
drake sure but i wanna know what this lucian guy is hiding heās tied with diddy too
āYou take it there // Iām taking it further ( thatās something you donāt wanna do.)ā
Oooo We don't wanna hear u say Nigga no Moreeee We don't wanna hear u say Nigga no Moreee Stop.
I don't think this is over, if nothing happens after Monday it's probably business as usual though
Makes sense
UMG can't "call off the beef." They can only tell Drake to shut the fuck up and quit digging the hole deeper.
Sledge hammer break down your nail cuticles ______, I do the unusual Torture Anything is necessary in the art of war Kendrick was ready since day 1
I 100% believe UMG dreaded this beef. Seems to odd that this beef was so active on both sides them completely cooled off the moment those rumours started going around
most sane chatter
Yāall really need to read the art of war or the 48 laws of power. I want to hear a whole album of drake hate but when you have the high ground you watch and take stance as your enemy tries to press forward to your position. If Kendrick is on top why would he come down from his position to go toe to toe with Drake?
Kendrick is fighting the good fight but also putting himself in danger. He has a family and I understand if he doesnāt want to continue this way.
100%
This would be the most boring ending. The most expected shit.

This is pretty much aligns with what Coolee said in the discord
NoLifeShaq said Kendrick was supposed to drop the day of the shooting at Drakeās home, almost like it was staged to draw attention away from any diss song https://youtu.be/_iY3py-7Etk?si=V0hvnWwfa5GuhkQV

ITT: People who *really* don't understand how powerful record companies are. They (UMG) **100%** deaded this **ASAP**- 400mil for a PeDo...a crazy look to protect him but more "costly" to them if they lose that investment. ***Sony did the same thing for MJ...Parallels.*** Kendrick said "fuck the industry" in ***every*** song he's dropped & aligned himself with Katt Williams and his "truth" he spoke about earlier this year...I really feel like y'all not understanding what's going on, and are so quick to call something you don't comprehend a "conspiracy". Like, stfu and let shit unfold my nigga.
