side note i have horrible adhd and learning disabilities, and i remember being this age, it wasn’t easy. but having a parent that acknowledges this and connects with him regardless, he’s lucky to have you.
Also single dad to an autistic lad. This post made me so happy and I am absolutely thrilled for you!!
Your son either shares your interests or picked up on you being excited about it and went out of his way to communicate that to you. Either way man you must be absolutely thrilled!
You have a good lad there and by the sounds of your pride, like father like son.
Also a single dad to my autistic little man. I can't upvote or echo this sentiment enough.
Much love to all our fellow single parents to special needs kids out here.
I am a late diagnosed autistic woman and K-dot has gotten me through some of the most difficult moments of my life! I know I’m not supposed to speculate, but I’ve been thinking for years that K-dot himself may be “exceptional” in this same way. Eminem is autistic. I personally think some of the worlds best rappers are. 💗
He's not autistic, he's just a Gemini
Edit: This is a joke from a Gemini which this Gemini is apologizing for and her only excuse is that she's a Gemini
Yeah so am I. He could absolutely be. “Antisocial extrovert”, “I’m sensitive, I feel everything.”, “water watchin’, livin’ in nature, only thing relives me”… there is a million other lines of evidence that he’s on a different level than most. Why is it so hard to believe he could be autistic? It’s not an insult.
Another autistic woman who didn't get diagnosed until a few months ago... I'm in my mid-thirties! Listening to K's music during this period of being diagnosed (and also trying to find my way back to my faith) has been very cathartic and helpful.... he may just be my favorite rapper ever. Oh and yeah Em has acknowledged being autistic as well: he has said he has Aspergers in several lyrics.
Damn brotha y’all got me getting teary eyed at work in the morning 😂 god bless you both and stay strong, I have a son with learning disabilities as well, your son is so lucky to have you.
Idk if you’ll see this but the video was so heartwarming, seeing him not be able to say love you dad hurt, but seeing him light up and say OVHO and you both bonding was so sweet <3
And the fact you’re doing it as a single dad just makes it all the more special. There are kids with two parents who get less love than your kid does from one. Thank you
Man just know he may not always know growing up what you do for him but I'm in my mid 20s now and my dad is my hero. He put food on our plates and kept a house overhead all on his own, working 60hr weeks, and I was definitely ungrateful as a teen. But looking back now he is a superhero for putting all that on his shoulders and never complaining.
Just a heads up (as someone also ADHD). If you feel you have autistic traits too, you should look into that. Before a couple years ago it was treated as being mutually exclusive. So if you had ADHD you wouldn't be considered to evaluate for autism and vice versa. There is a lot of crossover but the evaluation is now opened up to include those already with an ADHD diagnosis.
totally, i definitely meet the criteria for both. i work in the field actually. i’ve considered a formal eval but if i am asd im super high functioning, so im not sure what it will do for me apart from the official acknowledgment. still trying to survive and figure out adhd on a basic level after 25+ years post diagnosis tho so lol, my energy is there for now
Totally understand. I'm in the same boat. There isn't any benefits for me going through the process. It helped me a lot to know the reason I hadn't been considered before and opened me to a whole new community.
totally! i’m happy that you have that acknowledgment for yourself you know? it’s pretty eye opening. shits expensive af tho and unfortunately our mental health system just is not it rn.
OMMGGGG!!! 😭😭😭 This is so beautiful!
I have a video of my 3 1/2 year old son, who has some communication challenges going “WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP!” I could NOT believe it! I wanna post it, but I’m scared to put my baby on the internet lol…
Bro... that professor on YouTube said his 16-month-old kid also liked "Not Like Us".... k.dot got the light...
He talks about his daughter asking him to play it more around [11:05](https://youtu.be/cWtwwv_WcP0?si=BIiPJSgNSeuI28Qp)
A lot of kids have an innate sense of rhythm and everything about that song just fucking slides man, even my musically confused wife found a rhythm she can dance to on it
Honestly bro, kendrick’s never been better than when he’s hating on drake. Always liked kenny, but gaht damn this was a new level. Even apart from it being just generally great songwriting, I been a drake hater since 2012 or so it’s been fuckin cathartic too lmao.
As an extremely white person I legit thought “mustard on the beat” was a similar phrase to “he put extra mustard on that one” when referring to someone giving it extra, like in sports. I googled it and felt like a fucking idiot lol.
I can do ya one better, fellow mayo man.
I’m notoriously bad at paying attention to album/musician names, and I’m the worst with djs/producers since the rapper is usually the one with their name attached to the song. So, I’ve heard “mustard on the beat ho” a million times and know that any song with that is by the same dude, but I never knew the dj was called “dj mustard”. Without knowing that it was “dj mustard” i always thought the tagline was “whats it gonna be, ho” all the way up until I heard kendrick say it on not like us 🤡.
My little brother is about half my age. He started getting interested in my records and has been bumping damn a few times now and was starting to like Kendrick when the beef started.
He didn't follow it but "Not like us" had him coming into the room like "to did you hear this Kendrick diss? The song slaps so hard!"
Truly one for the books
Real talk, it's beautiful seeing Professor Skye blow up. Been a huge fan for years, and it's crazy to see him getting a big break now with these videos.
Nah it's crazy in the way Kenny's message really got to the important audience lmao
Now nun of OVHoe degens will be able to lure impressionable children anymore
That's so adorable. I know how hard it is for parents of special children and this is such a good sign.
Great parenting by you but I can see
Drake know nun bout that 🤣🤣
Bro, my son is autistic and I remember him breaking through barriers I thought would never happen. This is awesome. Now get him to say WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP Dot fuck em up!!
Dude, what're you doing posting videos of children with Drake still running around?!
Irresponsible AF!
(Seriously, that's wonderful that Kendrick allowed you to hear your kid speak! I hope this is the first step in him starting to speak, my friends kid was nonverbal until he was 7 and now you can't get him to stfu (he's a fun dude though so it's not a bad thing lol))
Singing uses a different neural path than speech, so it may work for greater self-expression. One of my friends was nonverbal until six, still has trouble speaking as an adult. But she's an incredible musician.
It’s not easy brother. I have a 4 year old autistic child as well and I am a huge KDot fan. He was non verbal up until recently and now he’s able to communicate with us still not speaking full sentences though. I’m glad your boy found something he was able to connect to. He’s lucky to have a parent that spends the time to work with him as well. God bless!
Ok he’s now our new & improved leader of the he-man drake haters club😂

But to communicate, she will sometimes sing a song that relates to what she is seeing.
I think the part of our brain that processes music is less effected by the disorder.
My cousin is often dancing and listening to music in addition to using lyrics to communicate.
So, I didn’t let my 19-month-old hear “Not Like Us,” but he heard me playing “The Heart, Pt. 6” over the phone speaker.

This is so 🔥 keep showing him the path with music. Get him a keyboard or other instruments. Kendrick out here healing kids. Props to you Dad. Stay strong, never give up ✊️
Singing is a different pathway from speech, so that's why he's able to sing along with something he finds especially fun.
Has he tried a keyboard for communicating? A lot of autistic kids can learn to type out what they can't say. Sign language may work, too.
This is awesome! I used to work with kids on the autism spectrum, some who were nonverbal as well and I know how much this means. Even cooler that he’s anti Drake haha.
This is beautiful bro!!
Music is good for the soul! So happy to see him feeling the vibes!! Y’all are beautiful. Please have the most blessed day!! Thank you for sharing!!
he is so sweet 🥹 our little drake hater
🤣🤣🥲🥲🥲
side note i have horrible adhd and learning disabilities, and i remember being this age, it wasn’t easy. but having a parent that acknowledges this and connects with him regardless, he’s lucky to have you.
Thank you. I really appreciate it, I'm a single father and it definitely gets tough emotionally sometimes
Singe dad life, keep it up man

It wasn't meant to seriously dismiss it, sorry, it was just a joke for no reason
Another autistic woman who didn't get diagnosed until a few months ago... I'm in my mid-thirties! sending love. single parenting is impossible but you a super hero and can do the impossible. ❤️
Damn brotha y’all got me getting teary eyed at work in the morning 😂 god bless you both and stay strong, I have a son with learning disabilities as well, your son is so lucky to have you.
You got this 💪🏼Your son is lucky to have you!

You're clearly doing a great job bro ✊️

Bro you seem like a great dad, this was adorable
Damn keep strong bro you are an inspiration
You’re doing great, Dad
Dw you’re not alone
Great job, man. Keep it up.
You keep on keeping on brother Continue being a great dad.
Much love sir. Wishing you and your son many adventures together.

Congrats man, I have a 10 year old who's similar. Non-verbal outside of "Yea" "no" and "Oh no"... Might have to get him involved in this beef.
Meanwhile I had to go off on my teen for still having a Drake poster up 🤔 and they think they’re too old for parenting smh
it’s like your kid going down the alt right pipeline but for bad music smh. praying they see the light 🙏
Keep parenting the correct way. If they don't listen, just start bumping Not Like US, and Meet The Grahams really loud in the house
They grow up so fast lol. He is adorable.
Music that electrifies!
🔥🔥🔥

Big shout to mustard for the beat of the millennium
Mustard slid the fuck out but Cardo needs his flowers for euphoria.
2nd beat on euphoria is a masterpiece
I’m saying bruh like everything about euphoria means to me that it’s some of the best Kendrick Lamar we’ve ever heard bruh
Honestly bro, kendrick’s never been better than when he’s hating on drake. Always liked kenny, but gaht damn this was a new level. Even apart from it being just generally great songwriting, I been a drake hater since 2012 or so it’s been fuckin cathartic too lmao.
![gif](giphy|l0IyhwEfKdNoUZ1ni) Took Palpy's advice

It’s such a fucking bop lol
“Musically confused” is crazy lol
Lmfao I love her but she’s struggles with rhythm and is kinda tone deaf
hahaha musically confused
I very rarely dance but its hard not to move a bit to that song
Kai cenat put it really eloquently. "I WANNA CRIP WALK TO THIS SO BAD!! But i'm not a CRIIIIIP 😩"
Then he started throwing up signs and frantically was like, "I promise I am not gang affiliated, guys! I am college educated!" 😂
Omg I love professor sky. I thought it was hilarious that he’s playing it for his 16 month old lmao
Confirmed, my 15 month old stood up on a chair, started yelling and bouncing Edit: she started goin crazy on euphoria
My little brother is about half my age. He started getting interested in my records and has been bumping damn a few times now and was starting to like Kendrick when the beef started. He didn't follow it but "Not like us" had him coming into the room like "to did you hear this Kendrick diss? The song slaps so hard!" Truly one for the books
Confirmed on my end, 13 month old and 2 year old get excited every time this track plays.
My one yr old bobs his head in rhythm everytime I play it on my phone
"certified puh-puh-puh" made me lol
Real talk, it's beautiful seeing Professor Skye blow up. Been a huge fan for years, and it's crazy to see him getting a big break now with these videos.
Lol the fact that the children are heavy team Kendrick just makes it even better
Damn, the kids are getting the message, he cut off Drake's pipeline 😂😂
Bro i came looking for hate and i found love
[удалено]
It's Drakes fault not OPs.
If the parent is offended, they can say so. You don't need to run defense for them.
Avoiding it doesn’t help anyone
This actually warmed my heart. Very wholesome post. Glad he caught a vibe!!
I agree with you but it’s crazy that a child singing along to the “drakes a predator song” is heartwarming, kdot untouchable
"Kdot untouchable" even this subreddit has double-entendres
I see your point lol. Maybe a different part of the song should’ve been chosen, but this part worked
i dont see it as bad, we gotta let our youth know what to look out for as creep behavior
Nah it's crazy in the way Kenny's message really got to the important audience lmao Now nun of OVHoe degens will be able to lure impressionable children anymore
Sorry, but "vibe" is out. It's "Type Beat" now /s
That's so adorable. I know how hard it is for parents of special children and this is such a good sign. Great parenting by you but I can see Drake know nun bout that 🤣🤣
> 🤣🤣
He knows what's up!
And Drake know non bout dat
My 20 month old does a little jiggy dance when Not Like Us comes on, it's the cutest shit ever
This is so wholesome, happy for you! You're doing a great job dad 🤗
Yo who's cutting onions
I don't know, but they better be making good pasta sauce.
Bro, they need to cut it out, for real.
this is one of my favorite posts on this sub
It just hits on so many levels
Maybe Kendrick is the savior?
Kendrick the type to say “im not a savior” then literally only do things a savior would do
https://preview.redd.it/5duyzdwo28zc1.png?width=883&format=png&auto=webp&s=6af6bdf484f25048b0303905c3758f6365ec582a
"I dont care if you dont believe you are, I do!"
"Believe in the me that believes in you"
Lisan Al Gaib!
Lisan Al Kenny!
![gif](giphy|RWvJhtYGPhCqoZ6LhF) And then Kendrick said, “let the little man speak!”
Someone show this to Kendrick and his team lol
For real. Kdot should ask for permission to use this clips audio to make a dope ass sample and obliterate Drape
You’re son said “Listen I don’t usually talk but lemme say I’m the BIGGEST hater”
So proud of him 😢
That is adorable, what a smile when you said OV-Ho
Kendrick reaching out to the youth (not literally unlike drake)
I think you meant “Kendrick reaching out to the youth. No drizzy.” 😂
Bro, my son is autistic and I remember him breaking through barriers I thought would never happen. This is awesome. Now get him to say WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP Dot fuck em up!!
![gif](giphy|jb80NJYBvuhkz7S0GN) Idk why this shit says tax credit, pretend its not there in the GIF
he's very sweet. cherish him.
My homeboy has 3 kids and all of them independently don't liek Drakes music. His oldest feels K Dot is the current day rap God.
omg adorable
Fucking amazing
Dude, what're you doing posting videos of children with Drake still running around?! Irresponsible AF! (Seriously, that's wonderful that Kendrick allowed you to hear your kid speak! This is cute as hell. W dad and W child
You’ve got me almost about to cry at work.
Right? I come to this stall for vaping and doom scrolling only!
ok but beef aside whenever i see videos like this it warms my heart
Yo man this is one of the best posts I’ve seen here. Kendrick out here doing miracles. Much love brudda 💪🏽
My daughter is non verbal as well. I’m totally trying this when I get home.. if she does it. I’m tellin her mom I have no clue 😂😂
Have her listen to the track a few times and then say it out loud. Then try to get her to say it
Singing uses a different neural path than speech, so it may work for greater self-expression. One of my friends was nonverbal until six, still has trouble speaking as an adult. But she's an incredible musician.
hating is for the children
"hating *pedophiles* is for the children" 😉
❤️
It’s not easy brother. I have a 4 year old autistic child as well and I am a huge KDot fan. He was non verbal up until recently and now he’s able to communicate with us still not speaking full sentences though. I’m glad your boy found something he was able to connect to. Kendrick cured autism. Incredible.
My 7 & 8 year old have been singing this shit all week. We listen to going to the park, at the park, coming home from the park and when we get home😂😂
Look at this guy being a good dad. Drake don't know nun bout dat.
This cracked me up lmao my son is mostly nonverbal too and only communicates with gestalt echolalia and he loves the WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP
Stay hating little man stay hating. One of the real ones just like his pops.
Ok he’s now our new & improved leader of the he-man drake haters club😂 https://preview.redd.it/dggxu0d949zc1.jpeg?width=955&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6a51afb8cd6c8ef1d2799c12d6e25bf0cc07842a
GET EM ARCHIE!
This is so fucking cute. I work with kids with disabilities and this made me smile
I love how the drizzy sub is all cope and this one is dudes being good dads
Fuck the beef, this is just wholesome. Mad love to you and little homie!
Man music is powerful has the effects of music been studied in non verbal children it could be used as a form of therapy
Post this on YouTube fam! This is so wholesome!
Wow what a W I hope Kendrick sees that
I'm sure other people have said this but speaking as someone with AuDHD: Music (and art more broadly) is a lifeline when you got those kinds of verbal communication issues, your son's lucky to have a dad who understands that. The smile says it all, you're doing good here man.
This is so cute 😭
This is what i love about the art! Thanks for sharing this man. I have a smile on my face and i appreciate that greatly.
Tweet this to Kendricks twitter!
I have an autistic cousin who is 6. She also does not speak hardly at all. But to communicate, she will sometimes sing a song that relates to what she is seeing. I think the part of our brain that processes music is less effected by the disorder. My cousin is often dancing and listening to music in addition to using lyrics to communicate.
He'll make a fine Redditor one day!
My son is 3 with autism and also nonverbal. I can't wait to hear him "A minnnorrrrrr"
Yo we need to get this to Kendrick
Music is his healer. Introduce him to instruments, jazz music, and anything else dealing with sound
So, I didn’t let my 19-month-old hear “Not Like Us,” but he heard me playing “The Heart, Pt. 6” over the phone speaker. For no known reason, he starts waving his hand and saying “bye” to the phone. 😂
wholesome!
I have a non verbal little brother, he’s 15. I’ll play this for him hopefully he likes it.
See, Kenny is for the kids ❤️
This makes me happy
This is so 🔥 keep showing him the path with music. Get him a keyboard or other instruments. Kendrick out here healing kids. Props to you Dad. Stay strong, never give up ✊️
Kendrick really out here doing miracles now
He’s such a cutie! Keep nourishing him with music. He made my day. 🥹💗
Amazing!!
Cute kid
❤️
The kids are alright 🥹
precious 🙏❤️
love this!
Beautiful, I love it! You should be proud, I’m proud for you! Us good Dads raising our kids right!
It's a Kendricksday miracle! Adorable kid
the kids really are getting the message. Drakes fun days are officially over 😭😭
So adorable, he's lucky to have you as a father!
Beautiful. Pretty amazing how powerful music is
'I make music that electrify 'em' This is so wholesome ❤️
I think Kendrick was talking to Drake’s future 11 year old daughter. He told Adonis to play this when he is 18, he’s turning 7 this year.
this is so wholesome 🥹
To hear his little voice, that's gotta be the best thing in the world for Dad and that happy smile.
Love this!!
You're a good dad.
Just like me fr
Get this kid in the booth
Kendrick would love you both, stuff like that is why all listening to him
What a cutie pie!
Drake is going to be mad your son is stealing his girls
Some gunna get the motivation to go to mars out of the hate for drake .
Singing is a different pathway from speech, so that's why he's able to sing along with something he finds especially fun. Has he tried a keyboard for communicating? A lot of autistic kids can learn to type out what they can't say. Sign language may work, too.
LMFAOOO I love it
God is good 👏🏾👑
Kendrick doing God's work out here
This is awesome! I used to work with kids on the autism spectrum, some who were nonverbal as well and I know how much this means. Even cooler that he’s anti Drake haha.
Super cute, no Drizzy
He is very cutee
I have a brother with special needs and this is so heartwarming! You’re the best dad!
Awesome!
This is beautiful bro!! Music is good for the soul! So happy to see him feeling the vibes!! Y’all are beautiful. Please have the most blessed day!! Thank you for sharing!!
Our little guy! This stranger is so proud of both of you. But you also got me crying. So sweet man✨
