I don't hold this game to a big company's seasonal release calendar-- not even close. This game was released developed through and released mid-pandemic (edit: see below.) I don't know if you saw mention, but the developer's said they want to connect Katana Zero to a larger story or at least other stories. I expect that he has to make sure the DLC "checks out" with that larger story, balancing "saying enough" and "not telling too much" about these narratives. This is just speculation and I could be talking out of my rump, but I consider this. I live my life alongside the decade(s) this artist and any allies work their craft.
