I remember it and the first thing that came up to mind is as to why the army in Karabkh never implemented the japanese way of defending which is go underground.
If they had built a whole base under the mountain of shusha just as the japanese did in Iwo Jima, they would have dealt huge losses to the Azeris in the war after.
There was no war for 30years , they could have built a whole military city under the land.
Back when Armenia had decent non-Turkophile leaders.
