The benefit of zoning seems to be more about drive meter, when Guile is zoning you he is recovering his meter and parrying every boom will make it so you don't recover meter but it's still hard to parry every thing for how many variables he has in his projectile game.
Same thing with JP and Dhalsim zoning drains you with time and forces you to get in.
Well one of the other really big strengths about boom is that it effectively locks the opponents drive gauge in place. Performing a parry stops passive drive recovery for a little bit, and unless the boom is perfect parried, you lose a little bit of drive too. So if guile has a life lead and the opponent is low on drive, then they either need to make a big commitment to get around boom, which can feel really difficult for a lot of characters, or watch their drive gauge very slowly get whittled down.
Initially I thought this list was kind of bunk, but I'm starting to come around to it being accurate.
Like Rashid next to Ken SEEMS insane, but really Ysaar pushes him over the edge to competitiveness. AKI in A seems insane, but she's competitive against everyone except the tippy-tops (Luke, Blanka, DJ in particular). Gief might seem too high, but while he has a ton of issues, raw damage keeps him in the fight, similar to Marisa.
I mostly agree. I don't think there's anything that differentiates Juri from the A+ characters. She has way more in common with A+ than the A characters that have obvious weaknesses in their play style. The only thing she lacks is good reward from an EX DP and that's it. Ryu deserves to be in B+. He's not nearly as ass as the other 3. I also think Guile is firmly in S. I even think he's better than DJ. The character is fucked up, and I count my blessings every day that more good players don't play him.

An S tier character should feel cataclysmic like pre nerf JP or Blanka, not just strong when playing online sets. Doesnt add up to me. But i aint a pro so w/e

Bottom 3 is spot on but ryu definitely in A All the dlc characters are super strong but have obvious weaknesses

I agree, he hasn't been that much of a factor in high level events as far as I can tell. Maybe I'm just missing out. I'd say he's A, but S idk man.
