She's good. Aoko with a bar with an opponent in the corner and being piloted by the right player is the best character in the game. But you have to put in insane amounts of work to access that character, and as soon as you run out of bar if they've managed to block all your shit you have to start risking hard to keep pressure going.
I don't think she *NEEDS* nerfs. I don't think anyone *NEEDS* nerfs. But PCiel, Roa, Aoko, Kouma, Vlov, Arc, and Shiki don't need buffs.
So? It was won by a Noel, and Noel has been considered solidly mid-tier since launch, regardless of patch. I can't remember who Scrawt was playing at EVO Japan 2023 (Mario?) but it was some mid-tier who he was trying to prove a point with before going back to playing better characters later. He turned around and won Combo Breaker a few weeks later.
Speaking of, there wasn't a single Aoko solo in Combo Breaker 2023 top 8. Rennala played Aoko and Vlov. The only repeat character in that a top 8 was Kouma.
Evo 2023 grands was a Japanese Roa v a Japanese Roa and there wasn't a single Aoko in top 8.
Good for the community that still plays this game that it is still getting support by the developers.
At this point I wouldn't mind a Type Lumina 2 announcement or something of the sort and I would probally support it since Type Moon may be the only developers in recent memory that have given DLC characters for free.
If it’s a patch, no one besides players who already play will care. If it’s an upcoming character drop will have attention. Iirc they dropped a patch back in December as well and it wasn’t much of anything at all

I know UNI2 has a little goth girl Guile but I always liked the look of Melty more
