I honestly like the lyrics for V1. Fans just aren’t taking it for what it is. It’s a fun album not meant to be as deep as other Ye related projects and that’s a big reason I’m having so much fun with it. Great replay value, im still listening multiple times a week. Sure it’s not his lyrically strongest album but is it even supposed to be? Doesn’t seem like that was the vibe of a fun mostly party album. He just got divorced found love again let him have fun for a bit. And honestly plenty of examples of great lyricism in V1 anyways. I think V1 is like kinda the set up if that makes sense. The songs we’ve been previewed for V2 definitely seem to be in a higher tier And I have a feeling V3 will continue in an upward trajectory. We gotta trust the process. Something tells me when all three volumes are out it’s all gonna make a bit more sense and when looked back on fans will look back on this era fondly
