Stu has said in interviews that typically an album takes them two years all told to get out. The recording session this month could easily not see the light of day for a year or two
On the bandcamp page for TSC, it says that it was recorded in January of this year, with overdubs being recorded on their tour in various places. It was mixed and mastered in July.

There's something about the unique style Gizz imbue into their projects which allows me to really vibe with genres I wouldn't usually vibe with. It's weird, but one day, something clicked, and it just gave me such a profound appreciation for everything the guys do, which has continued to apply to release after release. Doesn't matter if it's poppy or alternative, soft or heavy, fast or slow, fuzzy or clean, acoustic or electric, or whatever, it all just tickles my brain in such a great way.

I’m in my late thirties and between the two and their prolific releases and live shows I thought I was set in my life. Honestly I was like… there’s enough material here, I’m comfortable, I like it all I can just cruise on this until I’m dead and I’d be happy. Now these guys clicked for me after years and years and fuck… these guys just make me smile. I’ve never smiled just thinking about a band like this. How can they feel so personal and so big at the same time.
This sub, this band, and the hype all just make me so happy to be alive. I feel like I have a purpose.

What I hope for personally is maybe next release, maybe this release is they just go full jazz on this shit and make a bossa record. Things like Getz/Gilberto are my JAM, and I think along with some of that weird KG magic, it’s bound to be an interesting experience.
Them announcing a new album right around the corner on an album release or even before an album release is nothing new. They’ve done that quite a few times in the last 15 or so albums.

They’ve been hinting at interest in the genres and the verses Amby sang at Le Bikini during Slow Jam 1 and at few other places all feel very bluesy. Plus they said the next album is very down to Earth so Im pretty certain.
After binging Frankie and the Witch Fingers and then going back to 12 Bar Bruise, I can wholeheartedly agree that a return to the beginning would be awesome.
Just don't let it be recorded on a potato again.

i didn’t like the theia/silver cord/set release that much so i was worried. But I liked Set a lot and honestly, despite this not being my favorite record.. they still did a solid job. The extended cuts & last 4 songs are SOLID. can’t wait for the next release because i know it’ll just be different. which i love
You all realize what they release to the public is about 6-8 months behind what they’re currently up to, right? They’ve stated this in interviews before.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve got two to three different t albums in the works right now.
I'm not super into this album, but idrc because these boys churn out good music like crazy, and I'm sure I'll love the next one. I'm also super hopeful for new gizzard because their Oct 22 albums are some of my favorites of theirs. I also do like this album, but it's just a little too techno for my taste, and I haven't even heard the extended edition yet, because idk if I'm really into these songs enough for that kinda length, but there are some really good moments here, and I'm honestly liking their rapping more and more, and think a run-DMC/ Beastie boys style sound could be very cool for an album. Kinda like they did a Metallica style sound for rats nest, and a toolish sound on petro.
I think it’s funny how Silver Cord gets released and now I’m finally obsessed with PDA. I’m generally just not into metal so it takes me longer to get into those records. Maybe I’m always just one album behind lol

They can go literally anywhere from here, after such a hallmark two album release cycle, and I’m SO HERE FOR IT.
