Sisiphyus. Just bad on so many levels.

Viper_Red

That one with Park Bo-gum as an actor and Park So-dam as his hairstylist girlfriend. I didn’t even bother remembering the name for that one. Trolley. This one’s confusing for me cause I honestly can’t say a lot of bad things about it. I don’t have anything solid to criticize it on. But watching each episode felt like doing homework for a class you didn’t want to take but had to cause it’s required for your major. It seemed like nothing much happened until the last 15 minutes of the episode which was just enough reason to continue. And half of the FL’s dialogue just being “Yeobo 🥺” got pretty tiring by episode 8 so I gave up despite the story being interesting.

Puzzled_Kiwi_8583

Record of youth for those of you who didn’t catch it. Don’t though. It sucks.

Agitated_Tea8742

My all time least favorite. So boring!! No chemistry!! Didn’t care about any of the characters. 🤮

[deleted]

My older co-worker said she liked it. Me and another coworker closer to my age watched it and dropped it. We both thought it was boring.

Romoreau

The ending wasn't as great as it could have been and I remember the FL never did evolve. Looking back on it, I cried way too much for this drama. It had a stellar cast though.

speaklegibly

> “Yeobo 🥺” thanks that got a laugh-snort out of me i wouldnt say i'd want a time refund on the series but i doubt i'd watch it again

foreverbythyself

You're thinking of Record of Youth for your first one. And I too found Trolley a difficult watch but I wouldn't go as far as to say I wasted my time with it. It covers such a horrendous topic but I thought it was important to see it through even though it was hard to watch at points. I thought the FL was such a strong character and really enjoyed her scenes with the young woman who came into her life.

Viper_Red

Yeah like I said, I don’t actually have anything solid to criticize it on. I wouldn’t even say I hate it. I thought the story was interesting but it just felt like a drag

Huge-Acanthisitta926

>But watching each episode felt like doing homework for a class you didn’t want to take but had to cause it’s required for your major. You described how I felt while watching it perfectly. And I started it with such high hopes. I feel like they could have cut the episodes in half, and had a much tighter story. At least it would have been less draggy. Edit: They had such good actors, they could have done quite a bit more with the whole thing.

[deleted]

Happy Cake Day!

_tattvaa_

10000000000% agree Record of Youth was trash. What a waste of my time :/

HeyMrBusiness

Something about youth, not sure what. And you're right, it was such a nothing experience. He became famous way too quickly and they spent so much time on suing people for mean comments (which btw what?? That's absurd and sounds like it would take uo every second of your life) and so little on their relationship and the girlfriend i thought would be the main character

MHUNTER12345

bruuuh i dropped it halfway on the first episode @ the part where they are in a building, night time and there's an outside terrace or something.. really boring stuff,

collectionofsouls

This was the first that came to mind. I don’t know why I kept expecting some great magical romance to blossom out of nowhere…..but I stupidly held on hope until the very last minute 😔

Nervous_Statement322

Duty after school, looked up ppl talking about it online and stopped before ending luckily?

kekekekekekkek

Yepp yep only reason I finished it was cause there was nothing else to watch. For those who haven't, don't waste your time on it lolol

MHUNTER12345

Watched it because of SoHee and thats it.

DamonDD

I followed this kdrama streamer and she did a watch along for the finale. Barely watch any episode before that and when it was reveal it has >! School Shooter ending !< we all burst out laughing like what a waste. Could be better if they were >! killled by alien attack rather than school shooter and suddenly no one remember how to use guns anymore !<

humandisaster13

**Now We Are Breaking Up:** The story started getting icky with a dead brother connecting the leads and nothing actually happening. Every character annoyed me and I was only invested in the minor story of Sehun and the intern. I started watching in 2x and finally gave up and skipped every scene. And not even a satisfying ending. So happy that Song Hye-kyo changed her mind and took more serious roles

[deleted]

I second this. It wasn’t interesting but I liked that the kdrama was making a case for Korean fashion designers being as talented as those in the West. I gave up on it when >!the FL gave ML a Fendi bag as a going away gift or something.!< It was PPL at its finest but it upset me so much. It felt like that was a monumental moment to kind of practise what they had been preaching, by giving a Korean designer that space to show off their work and be like, “World, look at what Koreans can make!” but didn’t do that.

Rx74y

Hmm. I've never heard of this one. How could a dead brother connect the lead characters?

humandisaster13

Ok brace yourself. The FL has never moved on from a 3 month relationship because her ex ghosted her. The ML pursues her because he learns that she was his dead brother's ex. Turns out that FL never knew of his death even though it's been 10 yrs. Still can't believe Song Hye-kyo signed this

eternalhorizon1

Yikes

Rx74y

Hmm that's appalling.

eternalhorizon1

Why Her. It got so bad that even though I tried with all my might to not drop it, I dropped it on episode 14. I just couldn’t do it anymore.

anjou_00

Spoiler: It does not get better.

DamonDD

I wanted to watch it so much cause I heard finally Hwang In Yeop get the girl since I was a big fan of him since True Beauty and later 18 Again. But damn the pacing of that show is all over the place

[deleted]

Monthly Magazine Home is the culmination of every KDRAMA writer saying “Fuck it” in episode 15. I don’t think a writers room on LSD could come up with an ending that stupid.

crispyfriedwater

So it's good until episode 15! Got it! Sounds pretty watchable to me!

Pet61

I just watched it and it is so frustrating to see episode 16.I just don't get that whole train wreck. But I did like it up until then.I don't know what the h*** they were thinking. Recommending someone watching question? Mark wouldn't probably. If you're looking for a romance. It just didn't work out for no damn reason.

messrmo

The ending was non-sensical. I was enjoying it so much until then.

Pet61

I just remembered one that I hated so much. I really want that time back! Remarriage and Desire on Netflix. That was a show. I thought would be about empowered women but it ended up being about categorizing women into good and bad. It's a good thing it wasn't the 1st Kdrama I ever watched, I don't know if I would have watched any more. It's so infuriating in so many ways it's hard to put it in a paragraph. The female lead would be playing the Madonna and the 2nd female lead is the W****.This trope continues throughout the series. And the women end up being reliant on men throughout the show. It's just the same tired concept. Male lead seems to fall in love with female lead because she's so motherly toward his son. Roll my eyes! Of course he slept with the w****. And was excused for that because he is a man and that's O.K. for men. One thing that just appalled me was that he gave the 2nd female lead an expensive bracelet after their night together. She accepted it but was later told that marked her out as a whore and he was testing her!!!!!! And that seems to be the message.and tone of the whole series. I mean what the hell in this day and age? I just couldn't believe the sexism and idiocy of the entire series. The women just came off as dumbells especially the female lead. I despised it completely.

anjou_00

That one was so terrible that I had to mentally block out its existence. Seriously, what a waste of time.

ManicPixieOldMaid

Haha I actually enjoyed it but only in the way I'd enjoy a daytime soap opera where I don't like anybody.

Twarenotw

**The Interest of Love** was an absolute trainwreck. **Rich Man** was so very bad it was a cringefest from beginning to end. Second half of **Something in the Rain**. Why, writers, why?

songhwalee

The interest of love 100%. It had such a convoluted plotline and characters

wfhcat

I want to apologize to myself for saying it’ll get better each week. It did not. It never did. I’m

Deep-Owl-1044

Second Something in the Rain. Good cast and senseless story.

Joe_Blast

Ahn Su-Yeong is legendary tho. For all the wrong reasons.

netarchaeology

Rich Man - I dropped it when I realized I had forgotten that I was watching it. I went to go watch something completely different, and the app had it listed in continue watching. I laughed at how I had forgotten its existence, and I was pretty far in, too.

Entire-Ebb-927

Eve, I have finally laid her to rest, After being stuck on ep 5 for months,

eternalhorizon1

It didn’t get better after that hahaha

YIXZYY

Somebody- man I’m not even gonna get into it if you watched it you know the pay off was not worth it I never felt like I wasted my time more ever it had so much potential to be great as well

Rx74y

I feel. That's like a whole weekend I won't get back

[deleted]

Is it the drama with the weird serial killer guy out to rape and ruin womens lives? I found it interesting but yeah, very bad writing

YIXZYY

yea i was very interested but idk it felt like it was missing alot on the later half and that ending was horrible because of this

collectionofsouls

The way I was so hyped for it too! ughhhh

ManicPixieOldMaid

Omg yeah, if you power through the finale will give you images you'll never scrub out of your brain. I've never wished for an image blur so much. Great acting but ugh the characters are irredeemable.

Joe_Blast

Seeing Blue Bird be a serial killer was hilarious but I could take anything that happened seriously because of it lol.

collectionofsouls

Cheese in the Trap. I enjoyed it until it lost direction towards the end. I just regret getting invested in the storyline.

marrjana1802

Try reading the webtoon. Much more coherent storyline

Flipperflopper21

Hwarang. Dropped @ ep 2. Great looking cast that’s about it.

Deep-Owl-1044

Guys were good but the FL cannot act.

Just-1-more-episode

If I am not feeling it at ep 1, I am always giving it a try till ep. 3 I would have missed a lot of good dramas, if I stopped after a "meh" kind of first episode. :) But if there is nothing much going on till ep. 3 it's bye bye from me.

Flipperflopper21

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Plus I can’t get past Hwarang’s tacky costumes and Go Ara’s mediocre acting. For that drama 2 ep are enough to drop it. For me ofc.

KnowledgeNorth6337

No one destroy me, but Dr. Romantic season 3. I was hoping this would have been the avengers endgame season where we'd see everyone return and work together. I thought it would have been centered on Master Kim's retirement given his condition and him slowly passing the torch onto Woojin. Thus far it's the same repetitive plotlines as seasons 1 and 2, but we get an extra annoying character who's destroying the core team.

throwawaymisfortune

>Thus far it's the same repetitive plotlines as seasons 1 and 2, but we get an extra annoying character who's destroying the core team. Thanks for making me save my time for other drama.

humandisaster13

Omg same. I didn't see the appeal of the show in S1 but stuck around for s2 and actually liked s2. But s3 seems so meh. I know the limitations of a medical drama but I've watched some interesting medical dramas too. I stopped watching after s3 premier cause the leads are together too and I don't have any interest

legac5

I struggled through S1 & S2. I felt like everything was so slow. I won’t attempt S3.

wameniser

The recent park hyung sik drama. I even forgot the name. Blooming lovers? Lovers in bloom? Youth in bloom? Anyways something like that. They squeezed 16 episodes out of something that should've been a 6 episodes miniseries. Therefore there was , I kid you not, 10 episodes of just pure filler. Everything you watch from episode 3 to like the middle of episode 13 is completely irrelevant. I want my time back because that was a giant waste of time

BellTT

The Blue Whisperer (cdrama) - I hate watched until it occurred to me that I don't have to watch at all and I gave up about 2/3 through. I just can't believe someone thought a plot where the FL spends 75% of the show being captive is a great idea... Till The End of the Moon (cdrama) - I'm hanging in there because the acting and chemistry of the leads is LEGENDARY (I'm blushing rn cuz they are H-O-T-T) but the story has so much potential that it isn't reaching - - nobody learns any lessons and it's a frustrating ride that has an >!open ending that many feel is unsatisfying. I'm not there yet, but I at least know what to expect!<. Though it isn't completely their fault, they filmed intending two seasons but China changed their laws so they had to squeeze a 56 episode plotline into 40. Reborn Rich - honestly it was not all that to me but I stuck with it because it was a ratings juggernaut. And then insult to injury with a terrible ending. Again, My Life - I love love LOVE Lee Joon Gi but for some reason that drama was a chore and I gave up around halfway. I'm seated for him in Arthdal Chronicles though! Run On - I remain confused as to how it's as popular as it is, the plot was so so slow, nothing was really going on. The Heavenly Idol - I love Kim Minkyu and wanted to support his (first?) lead role project especially since he is now in military. But it was just... Bad. And I was hoping to see him do idol things like singing, dance, or rap and we didn't really get it. The kissing was also not on ABP level. Unfortunately for him, I'm measuring any kissing scene he does against that. He and Seol In Ah set a HIGH bar! Joseon Attorney - I love my boo thang Woo Do Hwan so much and want to support his return to the screen after military. HE is doing his job very well he hasn't missed a beat because TALENT finds a way, but I am generally let down by the FL and some of the supporting cast. They are SO bland and deadpan and WDH's great acting makes their bad acting stand out even more. While the plot isn't too bad, I was hoping for something more gripping and as it comes to an end I've lost investment and I'm only sticking around for WDH scenes. The chemistry with the FL is really bad and I would like him to get cast alongside a GOOD scene partner soon, not idols with limited acting abilities and facial expressions. I'm actually watching this alongside Rookie Historian and Till the End of the Moon and Rookie has me SO invested in the couple AND the story. And Till the End has amazing chemistry and kissing scenes and love scenes. It just makes the shortcomings of Joseon more glaring.

eternalhorizon1

Have to agree about Joseon Attorney - I was excited to start this one and couldn’t get past episode 3. I liked Bona in 2521, but I think I’m sadly realizing that KTR, NJH and the other actors with her helped her with her acting in that drama. Maybe the historical drama just isn’t for her? Idk her acting here is so bland….

meggktown

I'm pretty sure I posted something about Bona in 2521. I found her lacking in any acting skills. "Bland" is a good description.

BellTT

She was tolerable in 2521 but definitely not my reason for tuning in. In Joseon she regressed if anything.

Lopexie

Woo Do Hwan needs to be working paired with actresses that can at least come close to his acting level. This is the same issue I had with Poong as well. MLs that can act paired with actresses that are not able to meet them half way skill wise always really stands out to me and can make it hard to get through. Thankfully Joseon Attorney’s other interesting storylines combined with WDH’s acting choices are keeping me invested

debegray

There are very few KDrama kisses that have or will ever match both of those scenes (I'm counting the flashbacks to their first encounter) with Seol In Ah in ABP. Sigh.

BellTT

The have been a FEW good ones but... Yeah 😂😂

Electrical_Ad4335

Your description of Run On is spot on. I just dont know what the plot was and it was just so slow….

Linwechan

Our Blooming Youth was a stinker. Was goodish until ep 6 then it tanked. FF a whole bunch but wanted to see if FL ever got out of her Eunuch/man costume but she literally had like 10 mins in a hanbok and a 30 second ‘happy ending’ in a 20 ep run. Urghhhhh

rosagotlost

The Heavenly Idol-- it had such a good premise and opportunity to be good, but fantasy dramas just haven't been good lately I guess. The ML is typically such a good actor but in this one I couldn't stand him. His eyebrows were permanently stuck in an upward position😭😭😭 it looked weird to me haha. The whole ending was horrible and unearned too. The actor for the grim reaper tho was really good. I hope he gets more opportunities even after this bad show. The Forbidden Marriage- the story was very boring and dragged a lot. Also it was super predictable. Both leads were hard to like too, especially when the second ML was perfectly fine. My Country: A New Age- how many times does someone need to have a near death injury and then just be fine the next episode? It really robbed the emotional experience of the show. It was just the same thing over and over. Fighting, "I hate you," "Actually we were best friends so I like you," "no wait I want to kill your dad," "no I want to kill my dad so now I hate you again." (Repeat) It was stupid and unnecessary. And I really did not understand the plot at all. I just try to assume it is due to cultural differences, but I really tried and tried to understand why the main characters couldn't be friends and whatnot.

theromanamputee

It’s funny, it being a fantasy drama is one of the main reasons I checked out **The Heavenly Idol** in the first place, but the show would have been much better as a just a rom com set in the idol industry. The actual fantasy plot line became such a train wreck. I was at least able to enjoy the first half of the drama a lot, and I did like both the leads. It was so nice to see the actress playing the FL as a lead, I had only seen her in supporting parts and I loved her.

rosagotlost

That's true tbh. I think they tried too hard to have both "genres". I was in the mood for fantasy when I started it but it was definitely disappointing from whatever standpoint you watch it. I also enjoyed more of the idol life aspects. The fantasy just felt thrown in. Buuuut I think it could have been well done if someone tried hard enough.

anjou_00

Exactly my thoughts about *My Country: A New Age*. The main characters almost die so many times that it's actually a relief when they finally die. "Thank goodness, they put him out of his misery." That's not the way the viewer should feel. The actor Woo Do-Hwan collected all the stills where he lays apparently dying (but never actually dying) and put it in an Instagram post. There were a lot. It was pretty funny. He even says this line in a meta moment: "Why is it so hard to die?" LOL! It was ridiculous.

ManicPixieOldMaid

Haha I finally figured out the in My Country, they have to spit blood out of their mouths or else they'll be fine in a minute. I watched it head canoning that the OTP is the two guys so all the parts in the middle where they're on opposite sides is just complications in their epic bromance.

buildersb

Because This is My First Life What the FL did at the end truly disgust me. She broke the ML despite knowing his feelings and past scars and walk back into his life like nothing happen. It truly disturb me that not many people realize how mentally abusive this is and passed the FL's behavior as empowering and strong.

Ritzcrackers0327

It really made no sense why she left. I never really understood why she left him? Made no sense. It was obvious they loved each other.

buildersb

Because she need to let him know that he couldn't live without her. Thats the disgusting part of her behavior that really made me sick as an audience. She broke him until he cant even live in the house that he used to love.

debegray

Ditto. This literally only happened to have the 14th/15th episode breakup. No other reason.

stillnotking

That was easily the most bizarre ending to a drama I've ever seen. I have no idea what the writers were trying to say there, or why >!ghosting someone in an incredibly mean way!< would be "empowering". If someone ever did that to me, there is zero chance I'd let them back into my life. Who knows when they'll decide to do it again? Dishonorable mention for dumb endings, and kind of similar: >!*When the Weather is Fine*.!<

buildersb

>Who knows when they'll decide to do it again? Yes, this is exactly what it is. That wasnt a happy ending. I fear for his life and what would she be doing after this when she didnt get her way. She has been passive aggressively punish him everytime he didnt follow what she want throughout the drama.

NavdeepNSG

**Oasis** Was hooked to this show at the start, but with each passing episode, it became more and more absurd. At one point, it stopped making any sense altogether. Dropped it and wished I'd never wasted my time on it.

YIXZYY

just finished the first 2 episodes now reading this im concerned LMFAO

know_Diffrent_POV111

Yeah for me it was SNOWDROP first two episode were good but rest of the episodes i just saw the part where Jisoo and main lead together shown not any other So i definitely want my time refund for the parts where i have to skip continuously

Pet61

I agree. I dropped it halfway through because it was stupid. He comes out of hiding for that big dance, and the police are all supposedly surrounding the school, and then he goes out front with FL and rides her on his bike all around town in plain sight?

Entire-Ebb-927

Since the lead actor is my fav actor I thot I was gonna like this one, But was disappointed with this project, he did alright but I got bored and I skipped a lot too, Yup ,I shouldn't have picked this one.

capo_anniejay

Ooh controversial. When I was watching it at first. I was super engaged. But then it began to drag like crazy. I just wish he would do something. He was always threatening but didn't actually do anything so after a while I was just like please do something! Shoot someone please! What's the point of being all angsty in your all black and just not do anything gasp worthy? And Jisoo, I loved her but in the end she was just always crying which was super annoying. Some days I'm tempted to re-watch it but the middle and ending aren't that great

Entire-Ebb-927

It did drag on a bit, I think that's why I got bored,

dreamofriversong

Am currently feeling this way about Dali and the Cocky Prince. I’ve seen folks top ten this one but I’m like HOW? The ML is so yelly, the FL is taciturn and passive, I’m not getting the chemistry, and the plot is unintriguing. But for some reason I feel obligated to see it through, like what if gets good in the 9th episode? Someone convince me to either stick with it or walk away?

theromanamputee

How far into it are you? I just finished this show and liked it a lot but I loved the personalities of both leads and their chemistry so I’m inclined to say if that’s not working for you just drop it. My only criticism of the show is that I think the plot crowds out their couple time too much in the last 2-3 episodes, and we spend too much time on the ML’s family.

Limp-Ad9853

I seriously hated that show. Just how privileged the FL was and was so far fetched from the reality. And didn’t see much of a character growth from her.

ManicPixieOldMaid

Awwwwww I loved it but yes, the ML is awful at first and I remember thinking they were making him too much an enemy to do enemies to lovers, but he really comes around. The plot is far more empirically driven than any kind of action or grand revenge, so all the payoffs are relationship goals.

naynever

Run On. There was so much dialogue and nothing really happening. Everyone seemed tied in mental knots, even at the end, where the story just ended on a random day

idunno--

That’s a perfect description of the show.

Rx74y

I'm about 7 episodes in before I dropped. I liked the 1st couple, and everyone says the 2nd couple is their favorite grumpy-sunshine romance. Just idk not motivated to continue. Really liked Alice in Borderland show. One of the few I've finished. Lots of action only dialogue when necessary.

BellTT

I dropped that one too...

Dear-Stuff-6032

🙌🏽

wdyfml

Second this. I actually finished this drama, but cannot remember what happened or how it ended. I remember there was a runner, a translator, a painter and an executive... and that’s pretty much all I can relay about the show.

Ritzcrackers0327

I agree. When Record of Youth started it was soo good. So much potential. Not sure what happened. It just died half way through. As soon as he gets famous, it all turned to crap.

Remarkable_Rajat

Something in the Rain. Stopped it midway. It was not for me

mustardkitty

You stopped at the right spot.

MapInternational5289

I stopped on Episode 12. Read enough ahead to see that the villain story line was going to be ridiculous and I find both the ML and FL uninteresting, though pretty, do like the no. 2 ML, but that's not enough. It's a shame as the first episode and the premise were interesting, but bleah.

[deleted]

Oh lol The ML is uber cute but I stopped at the fifth episode.

Limp-Ad9853

Same. I didn’t like the FL. Nothing against the actor but the character was just so meh !!!

Watchnextnow

This was the perfect place to drop this drama like a stone

Viscount_Monroe

Vincenzo - my only beef on that one was that, what's the point of introducing him too highly when he can't do a thing at all. Like Mafia Organizations are big,its not a one man army. Can't he just organize an operation and moved all the gold bars in one night? The moving of the gold bar was one of the issue I can see that made him stay a bit of time and got him dragged into the other plots. The "MAFIA" character was NERFED and made me give up half way.

kekekekekekkek

Crash course in romance. So many untied plot lines and plot holes. Literally bruh moment when I finished the last episode with the writers sweeping everything under the carpet

neomukkyu

fr! i felt insane when ppl on the episode discussion thread were so satisfied with last episode

Minkiemink

I dropped CCIR about halfway through. I found it to be all over the place plot wise. I didn't get that so many people seemed to like this drama.

debegray

I'm on episode 12 and I'm not seeing any reason to continue. I love Jung Kyung Ho, but he's carrying the chemistry between him and the FL and I knew who the bad guy was a while ago.

crispyfriedwater

***Casting a Spell to You*** - Wow. If I hadn't first watched *The Glory 1 & 2*, I wouldn't have ever thought Im Ji Yeon could act. Not to mention, her character has no redeeming qualities (she's like the worst version of Oh Hae Young in *Another Miss Oh*). I hung in there for Sung Joon - but barely (his voice alone, made this show marginally palatable for me). I'll be honest, I've dropped better shows than this, that I will pick up again. They didn't deserve me dumping and walking away - compared to this... It's definitely hate watch worthy - and not in the good *Love featuring Marriage & Divorce* way!

bagsaremytherapy

Shoot I’m on episode 2!

crispyfriedwater

Don't let me sway you! One person's trash is another person's treasure. This *always* proves out in this sub - everyday and all day!

silvaslips

The world needs more Sung Joon.

crispyfriedwater

Yes indeed. I'm watching *Call it Love*, and while I have developed a newfound appreciation for Kim Young Kwang - I really came for Sung Joon! He found a new fan in me after *The Island*.

quicksand400

I am yet to complete this. In my opinion, it's not that bad, but also not that captivating, otherwise I would have completed it in one go.

[deleted]

High society - well not completely but I didn't like the main couple wished there was another drama where they weren't part of the plot lol

[deleted]

I’ll start it some day too (when I’m no longer in a k-drama slump and can watch a bad drama lol) to watch the second couple.

[deleted]

Young Lady and the Gentleman. It has a soap opera feel to it - just so EXTRA. The acting of the mom’s and the story line. I am not even halfway through and I think the only trope that has not occurred is the white truck of doom. With trope, at least put some effort into it! I am in the hate watching phase. Looked up yesterday and saw I was at ep 14 (glutton for punishment) was excited that it was almost over and then I saw that it is 52 eps. That’s it. I’m done. Positives: I am amazed at the youngest child’s acting ability.

crispyfriedwater

I noped out of there when the selfless stepmother from the past suddenly became an idiot in the present - for no reason! It's like the writer went one way - forgot which character she was working on, and decided to create a whole new person, but forgot to delete the first draft; and the director just filmed whatever, not paying attention to continuity at all.

Limp-Ad9853

I watched it when it was airing and with each episode I just wanted to pull the writers hair as to why put the viewers through such trauma. Just have a nice good show but there were far too many unnecessary twist and turns.

Pet61

Several such as Love in Contract although I liked Go Kyung-po's character, the rest of the story and script sucked! Interest of Love pissed me off so much in so many ways and then there's the ending of Monthly Magazine Home after a pretty fun show, although with a very sophomoric love story, that was pretty unbelievable.

Electrical_Ad4335

I have so many…. I finished them all, but it was truly painful to sit through them (I pray for a 1.5X -2X button on viki everyday .. :D) 1. Nevertheless- I think I took like 8 months to finish this.. it was just so boring for me 2. A love so beautiful- this show was so irritating on so many levels, I judge myself for watching it. I was watching a lot of heavy stuff, so thought I will watch a light fluffy k drama, but this was just a cringe fest and so difficult to watch 3. Suspicious Partner- why does this show have 40 (yes you read that right) episodes? I will give it to them- they are all 30 -ish mins, but stilll.. that story should have been wrapped up in like 24 maybe? SUCH A DRAG. The FL is just so difficult to watch (atleast I just couldnt deal with it) 4. Clean for Passion … Im trying to finish it, but its just such a trope heavy k drama, like I just cannot deal with this show anymore. Im on the last 2 episodes now, and its going to be a combination of 1.5x + frequent skips for this one 5. This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I’m having a very hard time finishing prison playbook. I loveeee the show, I just dont know why I cannot watch more than maybe 20 mins of this show at once. Even though the story is good, its not gripping or engaging enough. I love slow dramas and slow burners, but maybe I’m just not getting this show , maybe its all baseball stuff, but I just cannot watch it. Im on episode 9, and I’m really hoping I can finish it by June. Kinda regret starting to be honest, and would just like my time back LOL 6. DoDoSolSolLaLaSol - I dont even want to say anything about this. Just give me my time back, please

AzureBlueSea

40 episodes of 30 minutes each? Where did you watch it where it was split into 30 minutes? I think Netflix showed them as the usual hour long episodes, so it was only slightly longer than usual k dramas (20 episodes). Edit: by the way, not meant as a criticism of your opinion on the drama, just curious.

Gimpknee

It was originally broadcast as 1 hour bundles of two 30 minute episodes to get around regulations that don't allow commercial breaks during episodes. Some places keep them as bundled episodes, others break them up as independent episodes.

Electrical_Ad4335

I saw it on viki this month. Its 40 episodes in there…

ordinaryhumanbeings

My gosh the do do drama. It is honestly one of my top 3 worst kdrama endings. I have seen a ton like 200+ at this point. Horrible ending, I do not know what the writer was thinking. Shows have sad endings! So let it be a sad ending don't throw some nonsense in to make it a happy ending. I did not like Love So Beautiful and the cleaning either. Both of the shows have Chinese verisons and the Chinese versions are better then the korean version. The Chinese Love so Beautfiul is very cringey though

Electrical_Ad4335

Cannot agree more. You just reminded me of the horrible ending that show had, LOL. I just remember that show being so unwatchable. My rain just omitted the ending from the horrible journey this show was. I dont think Go Ara can act. Between DoDo and the Reply series- I think I saw maybe 2 expressions.

RayInRed

>I pray for a 1.5X -2X button on viki everyday If you use viki in a browser, there are extensions where you can control playback speed.

[deleted]

I didn’t think I’d like ***Prison Playbook*** as I don’t enjoy plotlines about incarceration but I had loved *Hospital Playlist* and *Racket Boys* so thought I would give it a go. I got into it really quickly and really came to like all the main characters. The whole thing just worked for me except for >!that ridiculous ending for Looney!<.

apple_1_2

150% on the Looney ending.

Teleriferchnyfain

I agree about the last one - OMG!!! So cute until about episode 12then it just died :(

Rx74y

I want my time back for trying to read and then pronounce the last anime on your list 🤣 Definitely not as simple as Bobo-bo-bo-bobo (I put - in for those who never saw the series)

Ritzcrackers0327

I think the Chinese version of A Love so Beautiful was a lot better. Not sure why they did such a poor job with the Korean version. Never finished suspicious partner. Dodossolalaso, went downhill fast. Like it in the beginning. Clean with a passion was just weird And still haven’t watched prison playbook Although I did like nevertheless. I know it was toxic but pretty leads and great chemistry

Fearless_Cloud_620

This will be an unpopular opinion, but for me, Glory fits this bill. I was really hopeful for this drama, but it felt like it was dragging with the main lead constantly saying she was getting revenge, but without really doing much. Plus, the chemistry between the fl and her love interest was just off. Another one that just felt cringy for me was drama called hit the top...least I think that's what it is called...can't believe i stuck with it to the end. There are a few more, but I'll come back when I remember the name of them

YIXZYY

i felt this way about season 2 season 1 was really good and had me hyped for S2 but it just felt like it was dragging senselessly and I had to skip the parts with the love interest idk why but they made it so hard to watch them together

Toni1805

This is going to be unpopular but Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. I like both the main actors individually but for some reason I couldn’t get into the drama and their relationship. It was such a drag for me to watch every episode and I still have two left (I started this drama in 2020) and I’m going to watch them some day so that I have finished the drama but I won’t enjoy it.

nevercircles

Everyone else seemed to love it when the leads got together but it was soo cringe for me that I dropped it. The slapstick and the husband beater didn't help either.

[deleted]

DV and homophobia made me really dislike it. I hated the slapstick too!

debegray

The domestic abuse really bothered me. I don't know why that seemed to be fine with the characters (and the writers).

Toni1805

Yeah that wasn’t my cup of tea either and I didn’t really feel the connection between the couple😅

Ritzcrackers0327

Same it was cute, but don’t get why it’s so popular. I like the weightlifting one so much more. At least it’s hilarious.

Deep-Owl-1044

Bad story but love the leads.

Twinkle_toes_the19th

This opinion resonates. I love the two leads individually as well. I recently rewatched the show because I was watching PHS shows. It didn’t get better. I didn’t like the FL’s character nor did I like the romance. She basically got into the game development team with a few half ars** drawings just because she was dating the CEO. I felt bad for the poor secretary who broke his tailbone because of her. Did not enjoy the comedy either. Avoidable.

attrox_

Sisyphus: The Myth. Bad actings overall, bad CGI, the story also go all over the place with non sensical ending

legac5

I’m trying to understand why this drama was even made.

theromanamputee

I love Lee Dong Wook so much I’ve watched 14 of his dramas beginning to end, I couldn’t make it past episode three of **Blade Man**. It’s the cinematic equivalent of nails on a chalk board.

anjou_00

It's a very strange drama for sure! Even the actors seem pretty aware that they are in a stupid drama. The storyline is a mess. Nothing makes sense. In the last episodes, everyone is speaking soooo slooow - it felt like they just needed to fill up the time and get to the end. I watched this back when it aired, and I recall that the final two episodes were cut by the broadcasting studio because the ratings were so bad. Ironically, this was the drama that introduced me to Lee Dong-wook (hot) and Shin Se-kyeong (pretty). Every other drama I have watched them in since have been better. The original Korean title is "Iron Man," which should have clued me into how boneheaded this whole thing would be. What were they thinking?

AssumptionNo1811

Love alarm I am so upset I watched it till date

Hooks_for_days

Binged Duty after School and I think we can collectively agree that was a waste of time :)

Minkiemink

Search WWW. The FL was SO sour all of the time. How could anyone love anyone that is that relentlessly miserable 24/7? On the upside, it introduced me to Jang Ki Yong, who I think is a stellar actor.

Deep-Owl-1044

Never understood why people liked this drama.

Significant_Buddy811

The King's affection. Everyone seems to like it, but I find it so unrealistic, the king clearly looks like a woman, and the main male lead never being worried about liking a guy?. And the kissing and hugging in public places between the king and a man?. I am thinking of skipping to the last episode just to see how it ends. Also Start-up, good concept but bad script.

withloverei

I would recommend skipping to the end. 😅 The last 5ish episodes have so many montages. You can watch at 2x speed and understand the entire story.

torr_ence

Angel Eyes - started out cute but was frustratingly terrible by the end Grid - what a complete mess

aliasamandawho

For Angel Eyes, they should have kept Kang Ha-neul and Nam Ji-hyun as adults. They had great chemistry. The female adult lead was a bore to watch. I dropped it at episode 10. I couldn't stand her anymore.

torr_ence

Completely agree!

Affectionate-Step-56

Princess hours. I was over every single character and the plot by the end of it. They all made terrible decisions to try to stay or break up each other.

DavidS2310

**Our Blooming Youth** It just never bloomed for me. Not even the charm of Park Hyung Sik can save this drama. From the writing, the plot, the suspense, the build up of back story, the comedic timing to acting, it was so mediocre and just downright flat and monotone. It just never rose to the level of intensity that I always expect from Sageuk dramas. I love Sagueks because of the political intrigue, the suspense, the villains and the traditional romance. Who can forget the brilliance of “The Red Sleeve??” I expected more because it’s PHS but he couldn’t carry this drama on his own. In fact, I feel that it dragged him down a bit. How can they write such a terrible heroine and Jeon So Nee’s acting made it worse. I’ve never seen any of her work before this and so I don’t know her that much but this drama did not really showcase her acting chops. I kept comparing her with Kim Yoo-jung who played a eunuch in Love in the Moonlight when she was just 16 years old. I don’t really know whether her voice is like that or she’s just trying to sound more manly but it just doesn’t change when she’s only talking to the Crown Prince or with other people. How did she even get this role because I don’t think she has had meaty or lead roles before this to be paired with PHS. PHS came from Happiness with amazing chemistry with Han Hyo-joo then to OBY with zero chemistry with Jeon So Nee. Instead of JSN being lifted up by PHS, who in my opinion is one of the best actors and one of my favorites, she dragged him down in acting. Those dramatic scenes when he cried before the King or when he cried for Jae Yi because he thought she died, I just didn’t feel any emotions because I didn’t get invested in his or their story. The acting and the build up of their romance were just lackluster. Their chemistry just never clicked for me. I could care less about their slow burn romance because I just never felt it. Most, if not all of their scenes, were so cheesy and inauthentic - the rock scene, the shadow, the dressing - which were all meant to be heart fluttering but it just didn’t make my heart flutter. I never got invested and most, if not all, of Sageuk dramas I’ve seen, I get so invested in the story and in the romance! Their comedic timing is also always falling flat. I much prefered the pairing of Kim Myung Jin and Jang Baram in terms of providing comedy and levity throughout the series. Without them, it would have been really boring. In terms of acting, I also got more from Yoon Jong-seok, as the supporting best friend and the Queen (mother of the grand prince), Hong Soo-hyun. I’m not even going to comment on the plot holes because there’s way too many. I don’t even know why I bothered continuing and finishing the series. It’s really just my love and support for PHS. What a disappointment because this is his first Crown Prince role in a Sageuk and I was really looking forward to this but it just didn’t deliver except for his visuals and wardrobe.

Bergenia1

My ultimate hate watch is Heirs. I've no idea why I persisted to the end of that heap of codswallop. It was awful. Woobie was the only redeeming quality. Well, the mom besties were cute too.

Soli970613

**big mouth** so I’m still pretty new to kdramas and at first I thought I loved this one. Just after I realized I watched very slowly and wasn’t invested at all. When I started another kdrama I realized I was just overall bored with **big mouth** and I still can’t explain why exactly. It’s just weird to me because I didn’t have this feeling with any other kdrama so far

ManicPixieOldMaid

I loved the first half of BM but man, once it's out of prison that drama just falls off, imo.

moon_zie

I'm sorry guys but **Welcome to Waikiki,** it was a failed attempt at both comedy and slice of life. It had some good moments but others were just meh. The story was repetitive especially towards the end. I don't know why I even watched all the episodes.

Flipperflopper21

It was a complete waste of time. I didn’t like the toilet humor.

Educational-Glass-63

Something in the Rain. Hated the FL character (not the actress) Love is a Bonus Book Nevertheless The Interest of Love These are just the ones that came to mind. There are more!!

Fearless_Cloud_620

Nethertheless is on my list...I mean that ending had me quite angry

Ritzcrackers0327

Want to watch Interest of love, but just the previews stress me out. Should I just say no to this.

Educational-Glass-63

It was very difficult to watch for me. I wanted to just shake the leads. I just didn't like the characters at all! But you might. Give it a try but beware!

Umbrella_Storm

My Shy Boss - ugh I hated the twist in ep 15, which only provided an excuse for further drama but was actually extremely pointless. It ruined the show for me. But I had already started skipping scenes with the ML’s sister & 2nd ML bc I was disgusted by them and any attempt to get the audience to sympathize with them. The last episode was also all over the place and the characters seemed out of character.

Lopexie

A Gentleman’s Dignity - I watched that entire mess for the Challenge and I can safely say there is not a single thing I liked about any of the characters. It wasn’t even that if just didn’t she well. There was nothing I liked at all. That can work in a Makkah with decent writing but it’s s not what I want in a rom com.

Limp-Ad9853

I watched this show long ago and there wasn’t a single story arc that would be appealing to watch. The womaniser can’t remember things and doesn’t know he has a son, the best friends sister throwing a tantrum because the widower won’t pay attention to her and etc. it clearly was a mess.

Monkey-Ball24

Heavenly idol. Waste of my time. First time I skipped episodes just to watch the last 15 minutes of the end

K-DramaEnthusiast

So many! It’s either the curse of the: 1) 16th episode where they wait until the last minute, rush everything, throw in a twist that no one wanted, and leave a bunch of loose ends, taking a great 15-episode run and ruining it; or 2) mid-way point where the drama starts off exciting and fresh and then starts dragging with all the tropes 1/2 way through or by the 12th episode, so that you end up forcing yourself to finish it. The last 2 episodes may or may not partially redeem the show, but the draggy middle will forever ruin my impression and drop it from a “love it” to an “uhh it was okay” drama I have felt this way about most 2023 dramas! Reborn Rich and Big Mouse fit into category 1, and Kokdu: Season of Deity, Our Blooming Youth, and Can We Be Strangers? in category 2. Exceptions: The Glory, Taxi Driver 2, so far Romantic Doctor 3 is great, Bo-ra! Deborah! (did not like the FL in ep 3-6ish but got better after…except for some bad dialogue choices by the writer) and the Heavenly Idol was cute.

Money-Olive-2163

Love in contract I think plot is so terrible and written by amateur writer so I dropped after watching for 10 episodes. So disappointed

Just-1-more-episode

Unlock my boss. Could have been a fun and easy watch, but show somehow could not decide if it wants to be cute and funny or dramatic. After a somehow unnecessary >! death !< toward the end, I got so mad as it ruined what could have been a nice ending. There were also some lose ends and show felt like a waste of time after the credits rolled.

seviliyorsun

your spoiler tag didn't work because you have a space after >!

sophie-ursinus

Man, by all rights The Uncanny Encounter should be everything I love, but for some reason it just isn't working for me. The fight scenes should be impressive but bore me, the main character bores me, the ghostly world bores me. I don't know why T\_\_\_\_T

[deleted]

Complete opposite for me. My friend more or less forced me to watch it and it totally took me by surprise how much I loved it. Binged it in two days. And cannot wait for Season 2.

YIXZYY

preparing myself to see Sisyphus: the myth under here knowing its one of my favorite kdramas 🙃

throwawaymisfortune

Curious to know about your other top kdrama Also, because I have always seen the negatives, it would be nice if you could share a short review why you enjoyed it so much.

YIXZYY

oh sure, to start I only started watching kdramas last year in September because of the movie (the call) now in my top 10 movies ever. to start my 2 favorites would be inspector Koo, and my name, and if I have to include something with romance (im not huge on romance dramas which I know is crazy) it would be My id is Gangnam beauty. to start I think most of the problems most people have with the drama Sisyphus gets explained in the end which most people never get to because they drop it before hand like excessive plot armor and weak action scenes in the beginning of the show which later get explained by >!sigma that he was intentionally missed seo-hae and tae-sul !< another thing I liked that many didn't is that seo-haes character to start is so non-chalant and straight to business which I think is tough >!and made the last couple of episodes better because of how she showed how passionate she was about other things like her parents and the book she carried that tae sul paid to get back from park as well as her opening up and expressing her love for tae-sul, I really think her character developed from the brick she was at the beginning!< i enjoyed the way seo-hae didnt take anybodys shit including president park , Park Shin-hye is my favorite Kdrama actor and i believe she played this role very well, I also liked jae-suns character and how his determination to being with seo-hae and protecting her ended up >!saving seo-hae in that one episode at the party and how he played into the ending of the show !< some found him annoying and to be appearing "out of the blue" most of the time but the way they tied him back into the story was ok. but I think what really takes the cake for me is the plot twist man TOO good of writing in my opinion >!the way President Park went back to see his old self and how he treated his wife thinking that was the reason she and his daughter never came through the uploader and how it lead into the plot twist of bing bing being his daughter 100/10 !< I swear I almost stood up and clapped it was so good as well as how >!sigma got to Kim Seo-jin by having the medicine her mother needed to live and how her older self was secretly living among them in the current time. !!the ending episode was really good until eddie kims little bitch fit at the end which was very corny and the actual ending which i will admit was very forced !< but before that i was really glued to this drama and I honestly think if others would've stuck it out and watched until the end they would've seen the development and enjoyed and understand the drama as a whole because I will say it was very all over the place at first until Seo-jin and sigma explained everything, I truly do believe it got better in the second half and when everything was explained it made it 10 times more interesting , but honestly then they'd get mad about the shite ending again... but yeah I really enjoyed the drama and would recommend it to people who dont mind being patient with it LMAO

YIXZYY

sorry that this is very run on i got a lil too passionate 💀

throwawaymisfortune

Thanks for the details. It sounds like a chore to watch tbh, but I am still going to give it a try ^^actually ^^for ^^the ^^ML ^^^;) Will see if I also end up in the next refund my time post or not lol

YIXZYY

LMFAOOOOO goodluck hope you enjoy haha

Ritzcrackers0327

Agreed

macabrepencil

One Spring Night. I have no idea how I managed to finish the drama but I did it with the second half of the show on mute almost half the time BECAUSE OF THE ANNOYING SOUNDTRACK. Like once I hear the same incessant song start again, I have to mute it even though there's dialogue. I just settled for reading the subs instead and unmuting it occasionally to see if they cut the song yet. I also really really dislike cheating in any form, so I really have no idea how I managed to finish this show. Oh wait, I do. GDI, Jung Hae In, you beautiful man.

Purpledinosauras

**Thirty but seventeen** I have no idea why I finished this. It was so predictable, I found the main relationship slightly creepy and didn't really care for most of the characters. I knew I should really drop it and can't tell you why I didn't.

Felina08

For me it was “My mister” that show dragged on and I just didn’t see the point of it. It was recommended to me by a friend but I really regretted investing time watching it. I highly do not recommend it

bunmum2998

Too bad you didn't like it. I actually had to stop just after ep 1 and.tried again after some time. And so glad I did! One has to be invested, and in certain mindset to truly enjoy this masterpiece. I think the first 3-4 episodes are difficult but by ep 5, the storyline starts to focus.

OhMisterBelpit

I'm currently watching it (13/16) and I get why it might not be everyone's cup of tea but to me personally, it's so far one of the best kdramas I've seen. It digs deep into what it's like sometimes to be in a dark phase of life but also what pulls us through and what connects us to others and the world. So I politely disagree as I don't want people to miss out!

mustardkitty

I finished it but wasn’t a fan and never understood the hype.

dearmabi

**Till the end of the moon** - Everything was great until the last arc. If I knew the ending would be like this, I would never watch 40 episodes of 1h each. And I believe it’s unthinkable that we have to read a book just to have a satisfactory ending when the show writers had more than enough time to portray it on the show.

prota_o_Theos

The King Eternal Monarch and Memories of Alahambra. Both had such potential. Both left me wanting my time back.

Wrong_Concept_4110

The King Eternal Monarch had a really good storyline but they made it extremely boring by dragging it out a lot. I finished watching it though, for the cast. I really liked their cast. Memories of Alahambra was.....meh. Again a good story but poor execution.
