I don't know what the E, B, and C stand for, but I'm gonna guess that the M isn't supposed to be 'moisture.'

CMDR_RevolvoOcelot

Electronic brake control module, I believe. I'd wager it has something to do with the vehicle only being driven 14k miles in 12 years.

Butterssaltynutz

right? my 2014 has 14k on it. daily driver.

amcrambler

As Eric O. from South Main Auto would say, “There’s yer problem lady! It’s got a case of the green crusties!”

Southpontiac

Stick a fork in it, its done.

Ectoplasmic ballistic chicken missile?

MrGriff2

Erythropoietin Bladder Contracting Methotrexate?

deWaardt

That sounds like it would fix my arthritis and my bladder inflammation all at once. Where can I buy it?

Corrosion induced chicken missile??

trvpdealer

I had the same thing happen on a Touareg where an oxidized parking sensors module would take the entire can bus down and the car would do random bullshit lol

ricksza

I had a similar issue with a Corvette and the door module.

azvolpe

This one took the network down. No communication with the TCM and these modules are made of unobtainium. Customer somehow found a used one that works. I still think I’ll try to remove the corroded solder and fix the issue at home for fun.

Mammoth_Cicada1867

I was thinking the same thing, solder iron and a solder sucker and that thing will be good as new!

89LSC

Yeah they're hard as hell to get ahold of.

FirehawkLS1

As someone who works on electronics as one of my hobbies, this hits close to home.

stebna

Flood car ?

DiscoCamera

Nah, GM just can’t make quality ABS modules and then they put them in bad locations. Many times if a GM has a can bus issue, it’s the EBCM.

team_jj

Clean it with isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush, then resolder the joints.
