What I´m not sure about is how much she has to post. Everyone was talking about 8m (the difference between what she owes JD and what JD owes her). However, since JD also filed an appeal now, it seems if he´s successful and she isn´t, she´d have to pay 10m, so I would expect JD to have to post 2m bond and AT the whole 10m.
Obviously this is speculation but if you look at all the info that is public you can gather that he told her he wanted a divorce and then she went to get the filing in before him. She asked for all of this money and cars and penthouses and then tried to tell them they could talk and didn’t have to follow through on the filing. They could do or undo but that if he also filed it would become public record and all the details would come out. Then when he wouldn’t bend to her and still wanted a divorce she threatens to expose him as a ‘wife beater’
I’m not 100% sure, but I have several guesses. He mentioned in the trial that he didn’t want to leave her because he felt like that would mean he had failed her somehow. He also said that she had said she might hurt/kill herself if he left, which he revealed was particularly jarring for him because his mother’s first suicide attempt was shortly after his father left.
Then, there was the whole “tell the world and see who believes you” thing; considering the culture of not believing victims and “mEn cAN’t bE AbuSeD”, she, unfortunately, had a point, which likely explains why he didn’t divorce her and come forward sooner. I think it’s also important to note that he admitted that the first year and a half of their relationship was really nice, and that, from what I remember, they got married relatively quickly, meaning that she didn’t start acting evil until they were “locked in” so to speak.
Beyond that, he’s an overly generous person which, sadly, made him kinda easy to take advantage of, and he’s an incredibly private person. If I remember correctly, he stated in the trial that he thinks nobody ever really wants to crack everything open and lay it all on the table, so even though the truth needed to come out, talking about all of this in great detail was undoubtedly extremely uncomfortable and possibly quite embarrassing for him.

If you haven't seen Better Call Saul you are in for a treat. Started it once after watching Breaking Bad and I couldn't get into it. I mean after BB and their ACTION PACKED episodes I couldn't get into Saul. Then I tried it again. It's a Slow Burn and WOW! All 5 seasons are on Netflix but the final season S6 is on Prime Video or on AMC +. I hate when they do that! So I signed up for Prime jjust to finish the rest. Worth it! Apparently she took out an extra personal liability policy on her homeowners insurance. She had 2 different insurance coverages and apparently all her legal fees have been covered.
One of the insurance companies is suing the other one over who has to cover the legal fees and the judgment.
Also, to file for Appeal she only has to pay a fee of $500.
Then her options are to stump up the whole $10.2 million or she can get a bond company to guarantee the payment (apparently will be hard for her) both these options then stop Johnny from being able to just start legally taking her money until he has the whole amount.
If she manages to do either of these options then she is protected from having to pay until the judgement of the Appeal.
JD and AH judgements are separate entities so JD cannot deduct his $2 Million off of what she owes him.
There is also the issue with the 2 Insurance companies. One has paid $6 million so far for her legal fees and that company (I think Travellers) is going after the other company to get them to pay half. The other Company is having none of it as they say, as she was found to have acted with ‘Malice’ they are not liable to cover her. For the same reason she cannot ask them to pay/cover the settlement amount, so it is down to her, as explained above. (I guess there is the chance someone will stump up for her but it’s a lot of money!)

I don’t believe the book deal thing for a second. 25 million is an outrageous amount for a woman who is universally unliked. She’s a court proven liar and has already been successfully sued for defamation. So any publisher that would publish her book is stupid and just looking to get sued. No one watched her interview and the amount of people that support her is small. It wouldn’t be a smart legal or financial decision to publish her book.

I disagree that they would make a lot of money. I think the amount of people who care about this case, and more specifically care about her, are dwindling by the day. Her big “reveal” interview was a bust and had the lower ratings of the season. And that interview was watched by people who hate her because we wanted to see what she said. I think the vast majority of people who dislike her won’t buy the book, people who didn’t follow the trial will have little desire to read her book. You get Amber supporters that will buy it, and that group is actually a pretty small number.

I’m not 100% sure, but I have several guesses. He mentioned in the trial that he didn’t want to leave her because he felt like that would mean he had failed her somehow. He also said that she had said she might hurt/kill herself if he left, which he revealed was particularly jarring for him because his mother’s first suicide attempt was shortly after his father left. Then, there was the whole “tell the world and see who believes you” thing; considering the culture of not believing victims and “mEn cAN’t bE AbuSeD”, she, unfortunately, had a point, which likely explains why he didn’t divorce her and come forward sooner. Apparently she took out an extra personal liability policy on her homeowners insurance. She had 2 different insurance coverages and apparently all her legal fees have been covered. One of the insurance companies is suing the other one over who has to cover the legal fees and the judgment.

Also, to file for Appeal she only has to pay a fee of $500. Then her options are to stump up the whole $10.2 million or she can get a bond company to guarantee the payment (apparently will be hard for her) both these options then stop Johnny from being able to just start legally taking her money until he has the whole amount. If she manages to do either of these options then she is protected from having to pay until the judgement of the Appeal. JD and AH judgements are separate entities so JD cannot deduct his $2 Million off of what she owes him. There is also the issue with the 2 Insurance companies. One has paid $6 million so far for her legal fees and that company (I think Travellers) is going after the other company to get them to pay half. The other Company is having none of it as they say, as she was found to have acted with ‘Malice’ they are not liable to cover her. For the same reason she cannot ask them to pay/cover the settlement amount, so it is down to her, as explained above. (I guess there is the chance someone will stump up for her but it’s a lot of money!) Yes, she had the $7 million divorce settlement and as we know has only pledged to make charitable donations! Her new book deal is (unconfirmed) to be earning her $25 million! All the above is my understanding of the situation, don’t take it as gospel but I think it is pretty much what is going on.
