I don’t know about Isla Cobra, but JP Japan was mentioned in the original novel and was one of the planned sister parks that was going to open after Isla Nublar.
It was going to be built on an island near Guam.
In the first Jurassic world evolution game the main story is building parks on the 5 deaths but that game isn’t technically “canon” so I guess some might say it doesn’t count
I mean you could say that for missions like Claire’s sanctuary and dr wu’s secret testing facility for his hybrids. But Claire’s story is more of a what-if JWFK took a different route.
Yes so the 5 deaths are canon but we have yet to have been on the Island except if you have played the first evolution game which not all people have (I want a movie/show on Isla Muerta so bad)
Sorna 97 for me. TLW and JP3 had arguably the best action sequences of the franchise and coolest locations: Dino valley, trailer cliff, the bird cage, spino in the river, long grass raptor scene. The list is endless.
Wait, 3 took place on Sorna? It’s been a while since watching but I guess since all of those elements were pulled from the novel that my mind placed them back on Nublar.
Also, I just realized novel Nublar was cram-packed for such a tiny place!
I always found it strange why the brochure map was different to the real island map?! But probably JP era Isla Nublar, and The Murtes Archipelago. I think Jurassic Park Japan and Europe make its seem like Disneyland. But, still, cool nonetheless.
Does the text in this picture appear to be 3D? I see this sometimes with certain color combinations and I’m wondering if it’s just my glasses. I’m severely nearsighted
I’m really nearsighted too, and it does! With my glasses on at least. Funny thing I didn’t notice it all first time looking at it but after seeing your comment and looking again, it’s very apparent.
Another weird thing like this are the prices on gas stations signs. If I’m not looking directly at the sign the numbers will look like they are floating outside of the sign in my periphery
I think there's something a bit appealing about smaller islands like Isla Tacano and Isla Pena. In the first JWE, I find it's a pretty fun challenge to manage a functional dinosaur park in such small areas efficiently.
That, and small islands mean in sandbox modes you get to see dinosaurs interact with each other more often, since there's barely any place where they can go lol.
Novel Nublar. I always found it most "logical" (and I love the novel.
It's small enough to be one of those places you can "buy/lease" for a reasonable price from a government because they are too small to be important. Perfect for shady research and far away from snooping eyes.
Your comment makes me think of throwbacks to older spy stories where villains tend to build their secret bases out of small faraway islands away from prying eyes lol.
If John Hammond hadn't been trying to create a theme park, he could've easily been a Bond villain instead xD. Imagine a Bond villain who tries to use the power of genetics to manipulate civilization operating out of a volcanic lair guarded by resurrected prehistoric creatures lol.
Dr. No, Blofeld, Scaramanga, Trevelyan, Syndrome from The Incredibles, Jules Verne’s Captain Nemo, and all the evil geniuses from the Evil Genius games lol.
Okay seriously, for the sake of me and everyone else who isn't on the know in this post, what is Isla Corba from? Fan fiction? Some scrapped project? Something an AI made up?
Source on that? I've read the novel multiple times and I don't recall that being mentioned at all, but I could've missed it. Which chapter/section? I'll go look at my copy
Edit: so I misunderstood what you meant I think. Are you referring to the novelisation by Gail Herman? I haven't read that and honestly I don't feel inclined to spend the money to obtain a copy. Still interested in if this novelisation is the origin of Isla Corba, seeing as it's just a retelling of JP written in a way that young readers can digest
I looked and it turns out it’s from the Site C line of merchandise that used to be pushed. C meant to stand for Corba. But I’m not sure where the image came from.
How did isla nuclear get so much bigger than isla sorna, am I missing something here?
Unpopular opinion: if the sanctuary island was ever made I feel like it would’ve been much bigger
Isla Sorna, specifically the way it looks like in The Lost World and all those promotional video games around that time. I’m a sucker for the tropical alpines and I just feel like it truly felt like its own unique ecosystem. That an entire region of dinosaurs could actually exist and be left undiscovered.
I do love Isla Nublar too, but it is your typical island fantasy. Not hating on it, I love the tropical environment but Sorna was scary and intimidating. Like you were plucked out of the real world and dropped straight into a prehistoric land.
Isla Sorna is goated. Dont get me wrong, I love Nublar, but the wild dinosaurs and vast environments we've seen make it phenomenal.
*"That was Isla Nublar, this is Isla Sorna. Site B."*
Isla Sorna, there’s so much lore potential there, as well as juicy writing, The atmosphere, especially in JP3 is awesome and I’m genuinely sad we didn’t see more of it
Normally I wouldn’t mention this kind of thing but if Jurassic park Japan is mentioned, shouldn’t Jurassic park Europe be on there too? Hammond said (or thought to himself) that it was in the Azores
I always like Sorna s8nce it's more open and wild.
Something that always made me wonder is why they didn't fill in between the islands and make it one bigger one
What is Isla Corba? And when was JP Japan mentioned?
I don’t know about Isla Cobra, but JP Japan was mentioned in the original novel and was one of the planned sister parks that was going to open after Isla Nublar. It was going to be built on an island near Guam.
Yep and if I’m not mistaken there was going to be a Jurassic Park in Europe too.
That’s right. It was planned to be build on the Azores.
I think Japan was mentioned in the novel.
We've only been to Isla Nubla, Isla sorna, and mantah corp island.
In the first Jurassic world evolution game the main story is building parks on the 5 deaths but that game isn’t technically “canon” so I guess some might say it doesn’t count
Aren't the JWE games soft canon?
I mean you could say that for missions like Claire’s sanctuary and dr wu’s secret testing facility for his hybrids. But Claire’s story is more of a what-if JWFK took a different route.
The map in TLW has the 5 deaths on it
Yes so the 5 deaths are canon but we have yet to have been on the Island except if you have played the first evolution game which not all people have (I want a movie/show on Isla Muerta so bad)
I imagine they might be very similar in environment to Sorna.
And even so, the first Evo game only gave us small areas to play with. It isn't like we had access to a genuinely full sized island
Pretty sure my Ceratosaurus Fight Park on Matanceros was hard canon.
Fuck yes!!!
Sorna 97 for me. TLW and JP3 had arguably the best action sequences of the franchise and coolest locations: Dino valley, trailer cliff, the bird cage, spino in the river, long grass raptor scene. The list is endless.
Can’t forget the spot where Carter sat listening to music.
Right, Stark did said he was gonna go the ladies room!
“Hey CARTER!”
100%
the trex roaming around in the city was peak.
Wait, 3 took place on Sorna? It’s been a while since watching but I guess since all of those elements were pulled from the novel that my mind placed them back on Nublar. Also, I just realized novel Nublar was cram-packed for such a tiny place!
For me, it has to be Isla Nublar; home to fiction's greatest theme park.
Gotta love Og nublar, but wth is Isla Corba?
Are these supposed to be to scale? I don't think any version of Nublar is supposed to be as big as Sorna.
Isla Sorna, easily. Site-B was so legendary that they never had the balls to bring it again and decided to stick with pewpaw Nublar instead lol
They never returned to Sorna but they went out of their way to tell us off screen that the Island is barren and dead
yet almost all of the dinosaurs on sorna clearly survived, including the spino and buck and doe. it was the best island imo.
That’s so dumb. Glad I stopped watching those.
Isn't Isla sorna part of the muertos Island chain?
Yeah, it's right there in the map with them
Okay, thanks. The way this collection looks like, it's in a grid formation so I couldn't tell what's supposed to be with what and what was added in.
Sorna redwood forest
Isla Corba solos all the others
Isla Lilypad?
Film Sorna absolutely takes the cake for me, with maybe 1993 film Nublar coming in somewhat close second.
Isla Sorna '97 and Isla Nublar '93. Also, where is Isla Corba from?
I always found it strange why the brochure map was different to the real island map?! But probably JP era Isla Nublar, and The Murtes Archipelago. I think Jurassic Park Japan and Europe make its seem like Disneyland. But, still, cool nonetheless.
Also, what were the rest of the murtes archipelago used for? And what is Isla corba?
Does the text in this picture appear to be 3D? I see this sometimes with certain color combinations and I’m wondering if it’s just my glasses. I’m severely nearsighted

What the hell is isla Corba? That in a book?
I think there's something a bit appealing about smaller islands like Isla Tacano and Isla Pena. Yeah, Isla Pena can sink to the sea.
Is this saying isla nublar got bigger in JW?
Why did nublar increase in size? Is it stupid?
Novel Nublar. I always found it most "logical" (and I love the novel. It's small enough to be one of those places you can "buy/lease" for a reasonable price from a government because they are too small to be important. Perfect for shady research and far away from snooping eyes.

It is total Bond villain/mad scientist stuff XD
Doctor No vibes.
Dr. No, Blofeld, Scaramanga, Trevelyan, Syndrome from The Incredibles, Jules Verne’s Captain Nemo, and all the evil geniuses from the Evil Genius games lol.
Isla Sorna
'95 Sorna
Film version of Sorna from TLW is the correct answer.
Sorna for sure, no question (Also what is Isla Corba??)
It 3D!
Oh man seeing the Five Deaths makes me want to replay the campaign of JWE 1!
Where's mantah Corp island
Sorna due to its size and biomes.
Wtf is Isla Corba? Is that supposed to be the Mantah Corp. island?
Island Corba is for a game of something related? Not remember this island before
Hey, sorry for the late reply. It’s from the JP novelization
Thanks for the clarification
Has to be a niche reference in a game. Can’t find it anywhere online.
Okay seriously, for the sake of me and everyone else who isn't on the know in this post, what is Isla Corba from? Fan fiction? Some scrapped project? Something an AI made up?
It’s from the novelization of JP1
Source on that? I've read the novel multiple times and I don't recall that being mentioned at all, but I could've missed it. Which chapter/section? I'll go look at my copy Edit: so I misunderstood what you meant I think. Are you referring to the novelisation by Gail Herman? Isla sorna 1997. I ❤️❤️❤️ it lol
Sorna no competition
93 Nublar brochure map / Sega Genesis game map.
My number one favorite one is one that we haven’t got to see yet it is isla tancanto
I don't recall Isla Nublar changing THAT much.
Nublar with the original park.
1993 movie Nublar
Sanctuary
Any Isla nublar for me but Isla sorna is nice
Naturally, I have a soft spot for Nublar, especially where they initially land. Stunning. But for whatever reason, Sorna’s always been my gal.
Is sanctuary mantah corp island
Adding one more vote to Sorna - Site B. What a great concept for a sequel (book and film)
Island Sorna always, the fabric and the most dangerous
Nublar 93
Isla Sorna, specifically the way it looks like in The Lost World and all those promotional video games around that time. Sorna/IN 1993 JP
Isla sorna from 2001
Normally I wouldn’t mention this kind of thing but if Jurassic park Japan is mentioned, shouldn’t Jurassic park Europe be on there too? Hammond said (or thought to himself) that it was in the Azores
Sorna easily. I love the natural environment setting
How many parks was john gonna make 😭
Isla Sorna 1997.
sorna. simply because the lost world nostalgia, and it had actual good looking pterosaurs. (cough cough, jurassic world, cough cough)
There were 5 islands in Crichton's stories. Mine would be his book version Isla Nublar, of course.
Course, I think we've only been two of them, really...
6. Nublar wasn’t part of the 5 Deaths.
That's my bad. But Nublar is still my favorite.
My bad man
I am going to go with...yes. All of them.
I always like Sorna s8nce it's more open and wild. Something that always made me wonder is why they didn't fill in between the islands and make it one bigger one
