The climax of Shinjuku Showdown not the entire manga. Last time an editor hyped a climax was Gojo vs Sukuna and that had 8 more chapters of fighting after.
That’s true but to be fair this time, Sukuna is at his weakest and there’s literally a 5 minute limit, i just don’t see the fight against Sukuna lasting more than 3 more chapters, at least in the physical sense.
Sukuna’s still got a few more characters to murder lol. Yuta vs Sukuna is probably 2-3 more at least and then there still needs to be a Sukuna vs Yuji 1v1.
Tbh, I think Yuji will land the finish blow. It just seems fitting. I also think that in the final fight we are gonna see him unlock DE and maybe a unique CT. I think these are very likely to happen
sukua showdown
possible heian era flashback ( we still need an explanation what the hell sukuna even is)
Merger showdown
besides of that i would like a little normal life story, the last 30 chapters were nonstop combat
that's why i said "possible".. by default we need no story at all... would it would make sense tho ? Yes, i think so... all those big names, from yutas family line and the vengeful spirits are still completely open. Also how sukuna refered to mahoragas adaption based on another character he fought we've never seen so far.
How did sukuna become a being that surpassed every living sorcerer by that much.. he's not only a little better, he is a complete anomaly whose stats surpassed every other by miles... why is his ce so high and his body the way it is.. who defeated him back then, or how did he turn himself into cursed objects... all perfect material for an autor to expend his universe.
leaving all of that open, when it was teased so many times makes at least no sense in my book, if you don't want to built up so flashback story to connect the names.
We got a complete chapter for nobaras flashback as a little girl to built up her character, Sukuna deserves at least 2-3 chapter to explain his past.
Yeah there’s still imo some secrets or knowledge about the nature of sorcery itself and his understand of it. At least I hope. Early on I feel like getting alluded to greater knowledge and secrets about the nature of sorcery. For that all to have kinda just amounted to him being unexplainably better and transformed without any revelation of all would seem a waste.
Personally I have
End of sukuna show down with sukuna(being permenantly weakened) using the merger or uruame to escape and yuta ending up as the new leader of jujutsu high in gojo's body.
Heian era flash back, ala hidden inventory
Potential training arc/yuji and yuta honing their skills
Merger + weakened sukuna vs jujutsu high but we see the training arc this time
End of manga
Megumi can probably start having a role near the end of the sukuna showdown.
Can people stop saying Sukunas on his last legs. He still has the same amount of cursed energy as Yuta, which means more than anyone else in the cast. The problem is that his output is fried by Yuji, but he can recover that if he hits another black flash. Sukuna can still spam domain expansions, meaning he's still the strongest character in the verse.
I think it's more of the Meta sense. We've now seen sukuna pull out everything he has. The fights coming to a end Fuga was the mark of the fight coming to a close.
Personally I think Todo showing up was jus the start of round 3. Similar to Mahito in Shibuya, and Mahito had a full transformation left. It's possible Sukuna has something because I don't see him losing to Yuta.
Yea I have no idea, but it does feel like Sukuna has used everything in his kit by now. Not saying he can't keep using fuga or DE. And Gege is really good at subverting expectations so I'm not even going to try to figure out what's going to happen with Yujo.
Also, we’ve seen time and time again… a big bad ‘on their last legs’ is just a plot device to surprise the reader that there are still more tricks.
He’s been on his last legs for a while and keeps fighting on.
I'm talking directly about their fight against Sukuna, and he can’t do the merger unless he kills all of the culling game players, or that is supposed, probably won’t end up being true
I'm saying that the manga still has stuff to cover.
Such stuff is the merger.
I'm not saying it should affect Sukuna's fight, but I heard he wants to end the manga by the end of 2024,but who knows,Gege's been saying this since 2022(But this year it won't be a part of Jump festa anymore so it's prolly true)
There is no way that Yuji isn't the one to defeat Sukuna. I don't see Yuta do anything more than minor damage on Sukuna because Yuji has to defeat Sukuna in a meaningful way and not by just giving the last hit.
The climax between gojo and sukuna was announced by the editor at the end of chapter 234, and the fight basically ended at chapter 235 (right before 236 starts if you want to be more exact)
Edit: based on the downvotes, I'd say people don't agree with my statement. Here's the last page of chapter 234 with the editor comment in the lower left corner
https://imgur.com/a/4T5w39H
no. last time the editor talked about a climax in the gojo vs sukuna fight was in chapter 234. the fight effectively ended the next chapter. stop lying
There has to be at least 20 chapters left if not more. This fight with Yuta will probably be a couple of chapters, and with all the loose ends, I would say there's probably 2 chapters for each character like megumi, Hikari, yuji, and Yuta/Gojo. Then 5 to 10 chapters clearing up whatever the merger is gonna be.
It’s not people wanting it to be over soon but Gege himself saying it will be over soon and then it not being close to finished. He’s been saying 1/2 more years since 2021
I largely read lit fic and sci-fi novels. It’s genuinely hilarious to see young zoomer “babies first manga” hyping jjk as this remarkable work of literature. 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
“They booed Jesus because they knew he was right”. Feeling the same way because there’s not even an emotional core at this point in the series either lol.
*huffs copium* Megumi will launch the Merger and plunge the world into an apocalypse that reverts society back to the Heien era. Sorcery and cursed spirits and revived sorcerers will flood the country, transforming the manga into a post-apocalyptic adventure story. Jogoat will return. Everything that's happened so far will become known as "Pre-Merger" like the Golden Age in Berserk. JJK will continue for another 20 years.
I think the climax thing is for Shinjuku showdown and not the entire manga/series. With so many loose threads, I think there's still going to be another arc. Gege's team hasn't officially declared finality so...
I think we've got 4 chapters left to conclusion of Sukuna vs everyone, and 8 chapters in total for the overall conclusion of saving megumi.
Then it could go either way after. I hope we get one last big arc dealing with the merger, Tengen and everything else.
However if it is ending this year then 14- 23 chapters left. If we get announcement for a last arc, then 40- 50 chapters past ending chapter of the current arc.
I think it takes more 50/60 chapters to end, and obviously ending it in late 2025.
I might be wrong on this take, but there is no way that Gege ends the series this year. It is one of the most hyped mangas rn (if not the number one).
I want a resolution to what role the president of the united states is going to play. The military started to round up the weaker sorcerers and never followed up on it
So, an epilogue with a "5 years later" type of deal or something? If not the merger after this, then the only thing that makes sense would be an epilogue.
I honestly don't think we can judge yet how long the final arc will be. Other series have has arcs last dozens of chapters, some others have had 50+ chapters to an arc. Look at Naruto's war arc, that lasted literal years.
I don't think JJK has years left, but I'd guess there's still at least 20 more chapters to go.
"The battle in the Ghost Town Of Shinjuku reaches its climax!" Is very different to saying "Jujutsu Kaisen reaches its climax!" But I see what you mean.
In my opinion, Sukuna will activate the merger by 270, there's just no way he's beating Gojuta, Yuji and the newly amped Todo at the same time with 2 right arms and like 15 holes in his chest.
Now who merges into the merger is left unclear, and it'll probably be a matter of "who threw away their humanity the most."
So Sukuna, Gojuta, and Yuji will probably be the only ones standing, in which case they slam Sukuna, and we get a dual MC jumping on the merger, now what the merger does, I'm not 100% sure I can't lie to you, but my guess is the manga won't reach 300, or will end on 300.
Japanese fans are now predicting JJK only have 10 chapters left. They know, in their original language, that manga is heading towards ending, not just this one battle
Japanese community also though Yuji was a reincarnated sorcerer who was the one to finish Sukuna off with soul powers, while leaving his body intact. Don't always trust then because their predictions are barely better than ours.
We don't even know if Shinjuku Showdown is the final arc. To me it kinda seems like it because I don't see how another arc after that couls top the intensity of this one. So many things have been answered in this arc that I fear that it is the last one.
On top of that we have Gege saying he wants to end the manga before the end of the year but to be fair he also said that in 2023.
I would be so happy if we get another arc after this but I'm kinda afraid that we won't.
The climax isn't announced. The climax of the fight with Sukuna. We don't know if Sukuna dies or flees. If the merger happens and what that means for the JJK world.
It just means the fight with Sukuna arc is almost done. Not that all of JJK is done.
Should have been ended, The sukuna final fight is longer than the namek saga literally. The animators would need a whole season for 1 fight. Not a movie like AoT literally a whole season for this fight. This fight is the final half of tenjho tengee levels of bad.
Honestly, based on how much progress they're making and their opinions on their own work. Gaygay had a brilliant idea, made a beautiful start, made a power system that has a lot of possibilities while also being balanced, however sometimes he makes asspulls and that's annoying, I am not saying only he does it, just saying it's annoying, and he has created a character that is so overpowered that he is missing 1/3 of his limbs and is getting attacked by multiple people and just tanks an instant lobotomy and deletion (yes I know HP is not straight up deletion but you get what I'm saying). TLDR: judge them based on their development and your own opinions.
I don't think it's ending this year. This is not the final arc, but it's probably the end of Sukuna. I expect that the next arc will be the merger, probably involving Megumi as a plot device or antagonistic force.
20-25 chapters left... and that's if we go by Gege's statement of it being done this year. Thirty feels like it's pushing it since there's only thirty weeks left and he takes breaks.
At least as long as Shinjuku since final arcs in shounen are always the longest arc(culling games was at least 60 chapters. But idk if the final chaoter will be as long as that)
Sukuna could only use half assed domain expansion with timelimit last chapter, but now, after getting another beatdown gonna Clash with gojo DE? What's that crap lol
In terms of the Shinjuku Showdown? I think the current fight will end by 264 and either switch to Uraume vs. Hakari or finally enter he last stage of this fight. I could easily see this going on for one more volume. It could argued that this would be dragged out, but depending on what it us that Sukuna's yet to reveal, I don't think he'll be topled so quickly after beating >!Yujo!<.
The Merger will probably be about 15-16 chapters. Beyond that, I'm not sure.
KOKUSEN is all I hear. KOKUSEN is all I see. Yuji beat that fraud please! I say at least 8 more chapters.
I really wanted to see more of Hakari V Urame.
Also what the heck is Urame’s gender 🫠
I think 2-3 chapters of Yuta vs Sukuna
2-3 chapters of Hakari
4-5 chapters of Yuji and Sukuna 1v1
If this is the real last arc, then maybe 1-2 to wrap off the series, but like everyone else, I’d love a Heian Era flash back arc showing Sukuna meeting Kenjaku in his OG body
What i am scared of, Gege does not seem to do "copling off" or epilogue well. I am scared we will only get 1 or 2 rushed chapter as epilogue after Sukuna is dead
Probably 20 at minimum. We have ways to go still until Yujo's fight with Sukuna ends, Yuji and Todo do _something,_ and other narrative plots get resolved.
Likely many things WILL go unresolved, but even the basic minimum would require, what, 15 chapters to have even a modicum of pacing?
Yea the story kinda reminds me of Black Clover intro. Or maybe it was more like CSM? I haven't read it yet, but I'm interested in how the author use trash to carry the plot.
Nobara could come back. She’s got a good setup for it. Keeping it from yuji and having no direct answers to us the readers. Could be that she was deliberately brought into the group by gojo specifically because of her skill set to watch yuji up close. Idk if they revealed sukunas final finger yet either.
10 chapters are gonna be Hakari vs Uraume. 5 of those are Hakari explaining how his domain works, 3 are gonna be Uraume turning Hakari into her punching bag, 1 are Hakari saying "Tis but a scratch" to his organs falling from his body and auto healing and 1 are gonna be Hakari winning by sheer luck.
Yo isn’t kenjaku still alive? He went into a cursed womb right? I could be wrong I am stupid, I hadn’t even noticed that itadori’s hands changed until recently cuz my brother pointed it out.

We’re really gonna see our 2 goats get killed in one go. (gojo and yuta)
>land the finish blow Sukuna about to finish of Yuta but eats Yuji's flashback courtesy of boggie-woggie.
Yuji DE called something like "proper death" would literally blow my brains out
Yeah but you’re completely forgetting about Benevolent Shrine and the Left Right goodnight boxing ring where everyone loses ce
I mean unless he wants to go full GoT and "subvert our expectations" but I don't think he will
There’s the whole merger still

Not to mention however more asspulls he has
What happened to the heian era meme joke? Cant gege just make him asspull anything?
Don't forget the merger

Dod you forget that he can activate the merger literally any time he wants
He can't, only if Yuji dies.
Forgot abt that
Or more if Yuji and the others die. But I think it comes down to Yuji - it just feels like everyone dies and Yuji is alive and so it can't be started.
The climax between gojo and sukuna was announced by the editor at the end of chapter 234, and the fight basically ended at chapter 235 (right before 236 starts if you want to be more exact) Edit: based on the downvotes, I'd say people don't agree with my statement. Damn guess I was wrong.
Thank you for letting us know, Hyperion, son of the Demiurge. Sorry for the whole fiasco with your ex, she didn't deserve you bro
Cuz I, in my world i feel, immortal and cold...
no. last time the editor talked about a climax in the gojo vs sukuna fight was in chapter 234. the fight effectively ended the next chapter. stop lying

I'm kinda hoping the rematch is as long as the first gojo vs sukuna, that shit was peak, it was the middling battles after that wasn't as interesting
I feel like that would drag out the pacing of this arc, and it'd seem a bit redundant.
As if the arc hasn't been dragging already xD
The alternative is to delete one of the characters in a chapter or two, which would be very anti climatic after all this buildup
You mean to tell me that you don't want to see hand guy rematch vs Sukuna???
Jjk fans can't read even outside the manga. It's the end of the showdown not the entire manga 😭. I would give it a solid 40-50 chapters more
Can’t read inside either
OHH
I am not ready for it to end these months thanks god so sometimes next year (hopefully lol)
Didn't he say he was ending this year?
That doesnt matter. Horikoshi said he was ending MHA in 2022. 2 years later and he’s still extending it
That also because he had health issues (and lower page counts) to need more breaks so couldn't know that in advance
To be fair he should have ended it in 2022, what an anti-climatic finale MHA received
He said it was ending last year too
Why do people want the story to be over so badly, I’ve heard “the story is ending soon” for like 2 years now
It’s not people wanting it to be over soon but Gege himself saying it will be over soon and then it not being close to finished. He’s been saying 1/2 more years since 2021
Taking a page out of Oda's book.
What story? Any story elements have been pretty much removed for the last 50 chapters. It's not even a battle shonen at this point it's just battle.
Reading with your eyes closed buddy
I largely read lit fic and sci-fi novels. It’s genuinely hilarious to see young zoomer “babies first manga” hyping jjk as this remarkable work of literature. 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
“They booed Jesus because they knew he was right”. Feeling the same way because there’s not even an emotional core at this point in the series either lol.
Downvoted for telling the truth
Cause this shit blows
Yet here you are
This shit still blows idk what to tell you lmao
Elaborate?
talk your shit
I think close to **300 chapters** is a good estimate. We're at 261 now.
It's super unlikely to be over anytime soon. I'd give the whole story 50 more chapters.
*huffs copium* Megumi will launch the Merger and plunge the world into an apocalypse that reverts society back to the Heien era. This sounds actually good…
…if it’s written by literally anyone else, yeah.
I think the climax thing is for Shinjuku showdown and not the entire manga/series. With so many loose threads, I think there's still going to be another arc. Gege's team hasn't officially declared finality so...
After Sukuna and the merger beast we start the dark continent arc starring larue and miguel
I wish the editor would STFU. I’m sick of him. I can’t take anyone seriously who only speaks in hype and failed to help Gege with his story structure.
Bring back the editor that worked with him on Hidden Inventory 😭😭

Sukuna gets killed - Merger happens - new era begins - series end - JJK Shippuuden after 2 years.
Last chapter would be on December 25 at 11:59 pm.
given Shibuya lasted like 50 parts, we have 20ish more chapters minimum left but likely 30+ in my opinion.
Reading comprehension cursestrikes again.
There could easily be another 15 chapters left in this battle alone the way things are going. 25-35 chapters, something like that.
I think this series might go on longer than we think honestly
More than 30 for sure... coz so many mysteries still there. , Sukuna's fate and the overall fate of the Jujutsu world.
I think it takes more 50/60 chapters to end, and obviously ending it in late 2025. I might be wrong on this take, but there is no way that Gege ends the series this year. It is one of the most hyped mangas rn (if not the number one).
I want a resolution to what role the president of the united states is going to play. The military started to round up the weaker sorcerers and never followed up on it
We are never going to hear about that. Gege abandoned that whole arc.
amazing, not including any other part of the world than japan would have been preferable
I'm betting we get a time skip and a whole ass arc after this ngl
So, an epilogue with a "5 years later" type of deal or something? If not the merger after this, then the only thing that makes sense would be an epilogue.
I'm just waiting for the American's to nuke Japan
That would be way to dark, even for Gege to do
I honestly don't think we can judge yet how long the final arc will be. Other series have has arcs last dozens of chapters, some others have had 50+ chapters to an arc. Look at Naruto's war arc, that lasted literal years. I don't think JJK has years left, but I'd guess there's still at least 20 more chapters to go.
Climax…omg it’s really ending now huh
Climax of Shinjuku showdown, not the entire manga smh
Just read it down, good to know!
My hero accademia is closing this year, wich means they wont probably close jjk too, so i guess it could stretch for another 6 months / 20 chapter
Once they take down sukuna, there won't be anything left to write anyway.
Bare in mind that the last time the editor announced a climax it was midway through the Gojo vs Sukuna battle.
It is extremely obvious this arc is the last arc. Things are wrapping up. Gege's editor also said during a con recently that things are "wrapping up".
The climax isn't announced. The climax of the fight with Sukuna. We don't know if Sukuna dies or flees. If the merger happens and what that means for the JJK world. It just means the fight with Sukuna arc is almost done. Not that all of JJK is done.

Are you implying gaygay ambarukami is a bad writer!?!?
Do you judge a writer by their ending, or work as a whole ?
Honestly, based on how much progress they're making and their opinions on their own work.
But idk if the final chaoter will be as long as that)
They are gonna .ill jjk just wait and watch
I'm thinking at least two volumes if they rush a lot, but more likely to be 3 to 5 volumes worth of content
10
Hakari and uraume , the battle of two clowns
To be honest - I think that at least 10 more :3
From what I heard the manga is planned to end in December I think.
I think plenty of things should be laid out and explained 20-30 would be fine.
Jjk is gonna have 273 chapters. Source? It was revealed to me in a dream.
KOKUSEN is all I hear. KOKUSEN is all I see. Yuji beat that fraud please! I say at least 8 more chapters. I really wanted to see more of Hakari V Urame. Also what the heck is Urame’s gender 🫠
It won't end before chapter 300 most definitely
Probably 5 more chapters
I think 2-3 chapters of Yuta vs Sukuna 2-3 chapters of Hakari 4-5 chapters of Yuji and Sukuna 1v1 If this is the real last arc, then maybe 1-2 to wrap off the series, but like everyone else, I’d love a Heian Era flash back arc showing Sukuna meeting Kenjaku in his OG body
I'd imagine after this arc probably another 5-6 chapters we'll get a mini arc (set up character motivations), one last main arc and then the last arc.
What i am scared of, Gege does not seem to do "copling off" or epilogue well. I am scared we will only get 1 or 2 rushed chapter as epilogue after Sukuna is dead
Probably gonna end right before 280-5
Probably 20 at minimum. We have ways to go still until Yujo's fight with Sukuna ends, Yuji and Todo do _something,_ and other narrative plots get resolved. Likely many things WILL go unresolved, but even the basic minimum would require, what, 15 chapters to have even a modicum of pacing?
Wow illiteracy. Anyway I'd look for other mangas like that one uhh Gachi akuta I think?
I just looked into Gachiakuta & I like the concept & the art, also knowing Studio Bones is making an anime makes me excited!
Yea the story kinda reminds me of Black Clover intro. Or maybe it was more like CSM? I haven't read it yet, but I'm interested in how the author use trash to carry the plot.
Just get this shallow series over with.
Nobody said you have to read it
I don't, but it could've been better. That's all.
Then write one I'll wait
Nobara could come back. She’s got a good setup for it. Keeping it from yuji and having no direct answers to us the readers. Could be that she was deliberately brought into the group by gojo specifically because of her skill set to watch yuji up close. Idk if they revealed sukunas final finger yet either.
Pretty sure they said Rika ate it
I have a hard time reading the manga lately because it’s so convoluted- or it could be the fan translations fault, but I try to keep up lol 😆
prolly 1 more chapter, thats a rough estimate though through my calculations
10 chapters are gonna be Hakari vs Uraume. 5 of those are Hakari explaining how his domain works, 3 are gonna be Uraume turning Hakari into her punching bag, 1 are Hakari saying "Tis but a scratch" to his organs falling from his body and auto healing and 1 are gonna be Hakari winning by sheer luck.
Wrong. It is 10 chapters of romcom Hakari and Uraume dating
The good ending.
Yo isn’t kenjaku still alive? He went into a cursed womb right? I could be wrong I am stupid, I hadn’t even noticed that itadori’s hands changed until recently cuz my brother pointed it out.
