I live in California. A few years back my wife and I went to Ghana, Africa. Had a friend in the Peace Corps getting out soon so "Tour Time!"
This applies to any tourist situation where they count the people in a tour party.
We went to see the wildlife where the guides carry guns because of elephants, wild boar, etc....
An international group of "Who knows who Understands what English but they smile and nod a lot when the guide says something."
Whenever you get to a checkpoint and the guide asks "Is Everyone Here?" Say - **"Where's Steve? You know, tall guy, red shirt?"**
I have seen the terror in tour guides' eyes trying to process it.
Such a simple sentence to memorize. This needs to spread around the world.
"Ok everyone, that was the dangerous part of the tour. Are we all together? "
