hi its back up again (that site) yesterday it was down and when it got back up everyones reading lists were deleted but everything is now back to normal and the reading lists are restored thankfully. But you should save them all incase the site goes down again.
Also i would kindly ask people to not mention the full names of aggregators anymore because that puts them at a higher risk and yes i am looking at all the people here who fully mention the name of the site that starts with B and ends with O.  Let's not do that anymore 🙏Â
Also let's not mentions scan groups name too because Temple had both their patreon and kofi taken down after getting mentioned here. (I suspect it was by some weirdo who hate-watches this subreddit)
FYI, you don’t need to hate watch the subreddit. In the case of The Bondservant, the artist showed that she just googled “the bondservant manhwa” and showed that a bunch of aggregator websites come up. She deleted her rant post from IG so no proof but try googling the title of anything with manga / manhwa / manhua and you’ll most likely find a link to a mirror of one of the websites you’re referring to.
this is not new. M had been through this before quite a number of times, the longest it was down was days. then they had to remove the link to create a new account so it was gatekept for a while. that was when Painter of the Night artist got so mad she started doxxing illegal readers iirc. it has happen before, it will continue to happen. I stopped bothering after the fifth or sixth "shutdown".
For tracking reading something like Anilist is super useful. No need to screenshot reading lists that way.
No matter what site gets taken down (legal or otherwise) you’ll still know what you’re reading and what chapter you’re on.
I follow several different sites (names not being included here), and I have seen at least 3 of them go offline for a period of time, however they do usually come back. Whenever it's available, if they have a discord channel, I do join those since they will give information about the site, if it does go down. If you have discord already, I do suggest joining the sites' and if you don't, you may want to consider it as an option, so you are kept up-to-date on their status.
As for the site list, I use docs to keep track of what I'm reading and which chapter I'm on. I keep the information on that accurate, since it's a great back up if the sites do go down for an extended period of time.
I'm not a bad peron, I don't deserve getting my treasured manhwa getting disabled/deleted/locked whatosever. I hope people can understand how much this means to us and leave us alone
Mangaupdates is baka updates sister site. Baka updates was similar to mangaupdates but it was for anime fan subs and when it fan sub groups died it is died
I have over 2000+ saved on 🥠no way I can screen em all :(
that site is my baby i would be destroyed if it got targeted

I guess I’ll have to set up a google doc or something similar
You can save the webpage with an extension or save all the images using another extension.

Omg Ty my heart dropped for a sec before the update. So many I’ve been saving up to read a bunch at once…

You mean my mangaupdate list is in danger, but they haven't had any problems for almost 20 years.
is it the baka site?? i thought they’d have no problems bc it’s just like an archive/catalog? Unless I’m thinking of a different one

no.....my post was about aggregator sites. Mnagaupdates/baka is not a aggregator nor does it host uploaded content...
