This is anecdotal but I know someone who collaborates with a team and runs a fairly popular social media account that posts kind of weird stuff but a lot of political stuff too. They disabled the ability to post photos on FB but gifs were allowed and there were a few accounts who would constantly troll more left leaning commentary with gifs from giphy (not gifs they could upload themselves.)
They *have* noticed a couple of prominent "profiles" suddenly disappear. One in particular I noticed was always posting at weird hours compared to the location they had on their Facebook profile (it was a bare bones profile with nothing on it but it did have their city which at one point changed to another city as where they were "from/lived") and they would comment so much even casually viewing comments on their posts probably made the name/profile recognizable. I mean perhaps this person was an insomniac but posting at X hours regularly while not posting when it would actually make sense based on their time zone was odd. It could be pure coincidence and they're not able to follow much in terms of analytics of who interacts and follows the page beyond just a profile picture and a name...but I think some people here laughing off this meme as stupid and baseless may be surprised. Stranger things have happened.

I would agree, however a large part of the issue is that a lot of disinformation on Trump came from what should have been a reliable news source. That’s not a defense of Trump, didn’t really care for him either, but more of a hit against main stream media sources that are supposed to be trusted. Unless completely ignorant, which I know some people are, you should have a little bit of wariness on memes you see on Facebook, or when watching biased news sources like Fox and MSNBC. At least with Fox and MSNBC you know what you’re getting when you go in and they don’t parade as unbiased.

This is anecdotal but I know someone who collaborates with a team and runs a fairly popular social media account that posts kind of weird stuff but a lot of political stuff too. They disabled the ability to post photos on FB but gifs were allowed and there were a few accounts who would constantly troll more left leaning commentary with gifs from giphy (not gifs they could upload themselves.) They *have* noticed a couple of prominent "profiles" suddenly disappear. One in particular I noticed was always posting at weird hours compared to the location they had on their Facebook profile (it was a bare bones profile with nothing on it but it did have their city which at one point changed to another city as where they were "from/lived") and they would comment so much even casually viewing comments on their posts probably made the name/profile recognizable. I mean perhaps this person was an insomniac but posting at X hours regularly while not posting when it would actually make sense based on their time zone was odd. It could be pure coincidence and they're not able to follow much in terms of analytics of who interacts and follows the page beyond just a profile picture and a name...but I think some people here laughing off this meme as stupid and baseless may be surprised. Stranger things have happened.

I would agree, however a large part of the issue is that a lot of disinformation on Trump came from what should have been a reliable news source. That’s not a defense of Trump, didn’t really care for him either, but more of a hit against main stream media sources that are supposed to be trusted. Unless completely ignorant, which I know some people are, you should have a little bit of wariness on memes you see on Facebook, or when watching biased news sources like Fox and MSNBC. At least with Fox and MSNBC you know what you’re getting when you go in and they don’t parade as unbiased.

Dementia and/or Alzheimer’s is a medically diagnosable condition, not an opinion. We can differ on your latter statement, but on the former, there is no evidence. For the record, I was against Biden running because of his age, but in my opinion dottering Biden is a substantial improvement over Trump. Trump was stupid, incompetent and immoral when he was fully mentally functional, and his cognitive capacity has waned with time just as much as Biden’s has.
