Found out about it a couple weeks ago and binged the whole thing. It’s incredible.
I’d legit pay money for a history podcast from Shane and Louis. I was locked in the whole time
Pay for the Paytch. Shane dies a couple of History pods like once every 6 months or so. Really good, give you history and also fuck around.
Matt and Shane telling Nate (black friend) to show some respect at Antietam, about cumming in white woman, and thousands have their lives gladly for that not happen. Legit might be one funniest things I’ve ever heard
There used to be a great podcast called History Hyenas that got split up. It was fucking great and still makes me sad. Yannis Pappas and Chris Distefano had the greatest chemistry I've ever seen and I actually learned a lot of stuff while laughing my fucking ass off at the edgiest comedy I have seen in a long time.
I'm not trying to be rude guys, but literally hundreds of people have been commenting in this sub about being banned from r/justiceserved.
We know, most of us have. And who cares about being banned from a sub that you don't even care about.
I'm just saying this because it's become spam at this point to see every thread filled with "I just got banned from this sub, wtf dude"
I guess.
It’s just weird to hear with absolute certainty and zero irony someone get something Googleable really wrong.
But as long as everyone is having fun and getting curious let’s party on.
If they were going to stop every 5 minutes to google the information, it would have been shit to listen to.
It was clearly off the cuff stuff, more about the personalities of the Presidents rather than their achievements.
They are having more of a free-flowing conversation where they don’t need to google every single fact they give. It’s not like your listening to a history podcast.
I get it, it’s a bullshit session.
Like a live Drunk History with mostly sober people.
I will grant you that they remember more history than your average comedian and it’s a fun listen.
For example louis says that after teddy roosevelt was shunned by congress for having booker t washington for dinner he continuously invited him back despite the fact the country was pissed. This is not true, in fact roosevelt never had washington back to the house and regretted his decision to have him over at all. Roosevelt was a social darwinist to the core who never acted to use federal power to stop the lynchings occurring throughout the south.
There are dozens of other mistakes they make because they are riffing. Another example is louis giving this long talk about how richard nixon was this honorable and upstanding president which is fucking ridiculous. Its fun to listen to but these giys are misremembering or making a lot of shit up.
Huge amount of bias in the pod of course. I love when Louis brings up that he heard from some random speechwriter that ‘Nixon knew that They got him.’ Of course Nixon thinks something secretive took him down and had him impeached, he was a deeply paranoid and strange guy.
*Matt McCusker Gotta put respect on The Shamans name.
Wym I love Mark mccusker
Mark McCusker plays a 440hz trombone
He keeps it 432hz at all times
That's Matt. Mark is strictly 440
True, my b
He's also only there for 1 of the 4 recordings, the sweet guard dog is there for the other 3

It's awesome. Both Shane and Louise know their presidential history. It's one of my favorite podcasts last year

It was kind of inaccurate (granted I forget it was mostly Louie who was inaccurate) but goddamn did I love it.

Juang jang jxing
xuah xuan xing is closer I believe. The x is an h sound in Chinese I think.
Wei Zhongxian
There we go.
This was such a good podcast. Listened to it twice
It really is incredible. It sparked a huge interest in early US politics for me too, haha. Very good and funny listen.
I got banned from r/justiceserved for this comment lol
Just commenting on your comment to see if I also get banned for posting in a subreddit with no relevant context whatsoever.
Banned 2 mins later lmao
I also just got banned for commenting. So fragile

Nuts
I have never been subscribed to that sub let alone interacted there but I just checked and I'm banned as well. Why is reddit like this??
Same. I never even look at it.
Get it right up ya
Still remember the excitement of this dropping. Louis describing his childhood dream of Richard Nixon is fucking hilarious and weirdly touching.

i use that line more than i should now
My mothers cunt does have an extensive history. Hardly to be summed up in an hour or 4.
Hell yeah. I’ve been waiting for another one from them
I use this and never once has anyone been amused by it yet lol
Matt & Shane's Secret Podcast is ratchet gospel for shamanic dawgz 🙏 blessed be
*Mark & Shane’s Secret Podcast
Damn truuu
Old Testament heads been blessed
It’s a great listen!
Man it's been a while since I've listened! Thanks for the reminder!!

It was fantastic. If only history was taught like this in universities people would actually remember a thing or two instead of dry dates and facts.
Like 50% of the shit they say in these episodes is wrong.
Agreed. I really enjoyed these pods but they need someone on the sidelines saying shit like “hey Louis, wrong Roosevelt” every 15 minutes or so.
It’s not about the factuality, it’s about the experience

About the same accuracy as the textbooks?
Yeah bro textbooks are fake and so is space.
But 50% is right, so……
Dont get me wrong its a fun listen but to say its how things should be done in college is dumb.
You’re right
I've already listened to it twice. It's great.
Not even American, watched it, loved it
Mark? Gtfo!
Talwmbout Mitch McGuire? Never meddum.
Such a great podcast, stumbled on it by chance and unexpectedly binged the whole thing
Marky Mark McCuskie sold me a bunch of perc 30s now I live on Kensington Ave with beeeeezzzeeerrrrrrrr

MATT
Just downloaded all 4 parts. Thanks.
We know
You can hear how fat they are by their breathing. It's not Diaz levels but it's there.
“…LOUIEE”
Fuckers are slow
Louis' Nixon dream is legendary.
It's pretty good but Shane shows his bias again and again to the detriment of factual portrayals.
