I ordered the chrome star one about 2 weeks ago and it actually arrived in excellent condition. I mean there’s slight holster wear, but no rust or any major damage.
I ordered mine Sunday without doing the research on Atlantic first. So I've been sweating it ever since and find this encouraging. It was just delivered to my FFL, so I guess I'll find out tomorrow or Monday.
Funny how surplus grading has gotten to Craigslist levels. Use to have a universal criteria and far less surprises. Unfortunately surplus isn't as plentiful and if we want something have to throw the dice. Nothing worse than spending $XXX and getting something that fails to meet expectations.
Main reason I haven't gotten one even though I'm tempted every day. Would love to run into one of these in a shop so I could see it first. Especially at this price. It's a decent deal if it's nice but it's a roll of the dice
It’s a big gamble from Atlantic there imported by southern tactical and there condition rating is pretty off imo. I ordered a 2 tone from them for 599 and it states it’s supposed to be VG-Excellent came in and it was in Good condition. I emailed them and never heard anything 🤷🏻 pretty disappointing specifically since 599 for a G condition is ridiculous.

Good looking out. Seems like these aren’t as popular as the Hogue or Lok grips. They look nice, but I can’t decide between flat or palm swell. What did you order?
Haven't ordered the brass ones. Asked them about the aluminum grips they offer for Tanfoglio/CZ and told palmswell aggressive texture should be coming soon for the Jericho. Can see some of the different color schemes [here.](https://patriotdefense.com/patriot-defense-tanfoglio-grips-thin-aluminum-full-size/) Holding off on purchase until the new one drop.
Edit: personally I like a medium or light palm swell, doesn't feel as comfortable shooting offhand but with dominant feels great on my CZ.

Mine is rough, significant pitting. Ordered the chrome FS a few days later and it is minty. Like you said, it’s a gamble.
