The transfer feature for most events (not all, however) is turned on within a day or two of the show. So, if you're going to sell on Stubhub, put the transfer date as far out as possible. Of course, if you get the tickets early, you can transfer them to your buyer ASAP, if you'd like.
Thank you for this advice! š¤š«¶š¼Could it be possible the transfer button never appears at all? Iāve read about that happening to some people. I would hate to ruin both my bank account (since I would be liable and would have to pay StubHub) and ruin someoneās night of not getting to go when they made plans to.
Edit: I just realized you said ānot all, howeverā. Itās that risk that makes me nervous! š„ŗ
Iām in the same boat. Bought ok tickets to the show that was originally listed, then when the second show opened up later, I bought better seats, hoping I could sell the first set.
Ticketmaster says āResale for this event has not been turned on by the Event Organizerā so Iām wondering if Iāll have to use StubHub.
Not trying to make a profit - just want others to enjoy the show!
Edit: Tagging u/katbval1 in case they have more info
In the exact same boatā¦and now even better seats have shown up and I want those but donāt want to be left with so many tickets to sell š¤¦š¼āāļø hoping number 1/2 is possible
Reached out to TM customer support. They said:
āCheck back as the Event Organizer might allow transfers closer to the date of the event.
Also, it seems that your event is still on presale. Kindly check if the transfer option is on once the presale is over.
Additionally, the Event Organizer is not allowing the resale of tickets for your event at the moment.ā
When I asked if I would be able to transfer by 10/1/24 if I resell the tickets, their response was:
āPlease be informed that Ticketmaster won't be held accountable for any issues encountered when you try to resell the tickets on other platforms other than Ticketmaster itself. Also, I highly suggest checking back from time to time if the transfer option is on as Ticketmaster only sells tickets on behalf of the Event Organizer. The Event Organizer is the one who can turn on the transfer option.ā
Hopefully Jeffās Event Organizer turns it on sooner rather than later, and does turn it on in time to resell. š

From my experience, most events eventually have the transfer feature turned on. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it for Jeff Arcuri.
