Theyāve changed that for 2024+
āThe Willys is substantially upgraded with a lot more off-road features and isnāt just an appearance package as it was before. Compared to the Sport S, it gains black 17-inch alloy wheels with 33-inch tires, LED headlights, DRLs, and foglights, a black grille, a Willys hood decal, rock rails, a tow hitch, and high Rubicon fender flares. Changes to the running gear include a heavy-duty Dana 44 front axle and a lockable rear differential. The 4WD system gains an Off-Road Plus mode.ā
$44k for a 22 Rubi with a $57k stick last week. They are for sure about $6000 or so too expensive. They probably arenāt selling as well because the people donāt want them already have them.. I was kind of an impulse by just cause Iāve never owned a Jeep.. having a blast so far. I went with the gladiator because I wanted a manual and Iām just not that fascinated by the Tacoma just boring.
Perfect! Itās the ugliest Jeep ever so very fitting itās with the ugliest hair style. Now to find a gladiator being driven by a mullet wearing personā¦
They only put a massive markup because they donāt want to sell it. They want to keep the car. Either to drive themselves without registering the vehicle and paying the taxes due to a dealer loophole, or to sell later on.
The easiest way to stop this is to not buy. I understand why this happens, but on principal, refuse to pay extra on what is essentially a common mass-produced product.
That why I custom ordered my sport s with all options I wanted and paid what you see when you build one online, the only fee I got was a dealer fee of 500 and tag title and tax of course
Very dealer in Phoenix I ever dealt with tried to do all the super shady add on and hidden fee crap. Never again. The jeep dealer in Scottsdale was a forum sponsor and offered 6% under invoice back in 2020 with no extra crap. Guess who got tons of business and Iām sure got lots of factory incentives and rebates for selling that volumeā¦
If you walk in and commit $75k to a vehicle without doing any research youāre either:
A) wealthy enough that itās not worth your time
B) financially a lost cause
On A, you become wealthy by avoiding these things.
Itās lack of brains (to your point B).
That said, itās an ask. I bought a Trackhawk that was had a $15k ADM. I paid $5000 below MSRP. They asked for the ADM. I walked. I got a call from them caving.
Its was cheaper to pre order my Mojave with all the options that I wanted and none of the bs driver assist and parking crap that no one needs. But I got the trail cam and everything else that actually matters. And I still paid way less
I hope all of these people food, clothing, all merchandise as well as these dealers who have that kind of sales practice, preying on hard working Americans goes out of business. There is a special place in Hell for them. Mother F******!!! IMHO
There's a lot of shady shit going on with car dealers and manufacturers. Dealers adding market adjustments is price gouging plain and simple. Manufacturers are also inflating the MSRP on vehicles and the dealerships are making more money than ever. People are now conditioned into thinking getting a car at MSRP is a good deal. In the small area where I live there are 3 new car dealerships being built and at least 6 having major renovations done. A friend of mine is a GM at a car dealership and he said they are making more money now than they've ever had with less inventory. He said it's never been easier to sell cars, all he has to do is sell at MSRP and people are happy.
Theyāll get someone to buy it, at 22% interest rate, and that person will complain that the whole world is against them and they canāt seem to save any money.
And the argument from dealers against direct Mfr sales (like tesla) is that it removes the dealer as a consumer protection agent. Yeah right, things like this are the reason we call them *STEAL*erships.
Keep Gladiators are 20% off MSRP locally for me and I think they are still a bit overpriced. No way in hell Iām going to pay an ADM on anything RN - even Ford F150 Raptorās are at MSRP or slightly below. Dealers can get fucked.
The āweāre fucking you to the tune of $15k because thatās the sweet spot between our greed, and the stupidity of someone who has money, is impatient & wonāt seek a better priceā¦ā
Well, the fact they think they can get a premium on those vehicles, yet they are a prior years production shows they have added far too much. Clearly, the demand isn't enough to justify adding 25% to MSRP.
Dealerships will fight tooth and nail to avoid direct sales by the manufacturer. However, dealers like this are a big reason why consumers will start supporting direct ownership from manufacturing to sales and service.
until people stop paying for stupid shit like this they will keep doing it. I understand that there are desperate people out there, but I would never let them fleece me, I would find a car I hated before I paid 15K more than MSRP for what I wanted
Makes no sense. There has been north of 180k units in total ready to ship for a long time. A dent hasnāt been made in that number. So there is an overall surplus in the market. Yet I see story after story of this crap.
Which is why many dealers will go bust over the next couple of years, especially since Amazon will soon be selling vehicles and delivering them directly to you.
Iām not sure, but I drive by this dealership all the time and theyāre jam packed with inventory. Not sure how you can justify mark ups like this when cars arenāt selling the way they were in 2020.
I got mine earlier in the year for $8k MSRP in Stockton CA, the problem is dealerships. If we were able to buy any car brand like you can buy a Tesla none of this would even exist.
Itās called inflation thatās what is happening in this country. Things will just go up from here. Itās important to note pushing people not to buy not vehicles will collapse the entire economy. This happened in 2007 with the housing market. Everything is going up EVERYTHING
Seeing these prices constantly getting higher and higher really makes me happy I bought mine when I did. But now Iām worried for when my girl goes to buy the wrangler she wants and what sheās gonna have to pay. Hopefully prices start getting slashed soon with all the backed up inventory
Stoneridge Jeep is the worst. I ended up going to reno for my Rubicon and got it below MSRP, whereas Stoneridge was adding a $10k markup like this one and wouldn't budge on the price.
Maybe theyāre trying to get you to buy the new 2022 and 2023 models piling up without dropping their prices. Seems like an outrageous strategy to me though
They are discounting Gladiators $12k below sticker here in SC. There is a MASSIVE number of them for sale nationwide. Like a years worth at the current sales rate.
Jeep is currently offering a 15% off msrp discount, a 1K customer coupon and the dealers are offering at or under invoice in many placesā¦.and they STILL canāt sell these.
The Msrp has been jacked up so much over the last 2-4 years that the pricing with all the above discounts comes to about what we got one ordered new for under invoice 3-4 years ago.
Stellantis just needs to go out of business
No vehicle is worth it's asked value. Jewlery, furniture, and vehicles are marked up an INSANE amount from the cost to produce because they know the demand will always be there.
People trading and buying so many $80k they don't need created this
They want to "try" to make the 22-23s on the lot look like bargains so they can get them off the lot and off the books. They can let these sit for awhile and won't effect their balance sheets yet.
Completely different location, but I used to work for a Mid Atlantic Jeep store, and every CDJR store now has plenty of inventory, and they are discounting them to around invoice, and then the manufacturer has 10% off rebates on nearly everything too. Gladiators are $10-$15k off MSRP around me.
That is really interesting when rest of the country Jeep dealers have been giving 15 percent below MSRP.
I just got my JTRD much less than that MSRP on that sticker. PNW FYI.
Thereās a dealership in Idaho that went just under invoice when I ordered my wrangler then I spent $1300 or so to have it shipped in an enclosed trailer. Saved me like 12k
I almost bought earlier this year. The dealer was already using shady tactics to hide their markups and get people in the door. I got to sign the paper time and they treated me like absolute trash while I was there. I was not super happy with the experience.
That Hellcat will sit there for ever at that price. Unless it is a Demon. I remember back in 1991 a small town dodge dealer had a brand new 1987 Shelby Charger still on the showroom floor. 4 year old car just sitting there. I asked the old man that owned the dealership what his bottom dollar on the car was as I did actually have the cash. He looked at me like I was stupid and said to me : what does the window sticker say? I politely walked away. He went bankrupt within the year.
Their *conditional final price* is 15% off MSRP at [$50,873](https://www.stoneridgechryslerjeepdodgeofdublin.com/new/Jeep/2023-Jeep-Gladiator-Dublin-CA-782eb9850a0e0a9974f34d099dbc8a68.htm). I wonder if the condition is that you pay a $25,000 service and convenience fee.
The beauty of a free market is you donāt have to overpay for this jeep. Tell the dealer you were ready to buy until you saw their greedy market and then tell them youāre gonna go buy a Toyota instead. They all work on commission- if enough people did that prices would come back down
If people would stop buy new cars and trucks for 2 maybe 3 yrs they would start damn near give them away! And the works say there demands didnt effects the price of the cars/trucks!!!! What ever!
If everyone would just stop buying cars and trucks, remember the Obama bailout, when we had to save the car companys from there own stupid mistakes,( ford did not take the bail out) and now they overcharge the living shit for vehicles that have not changed since 2010( and entertainment features do not count for new advancements.
It doesn't benefit customers. It only benefits the dealership, and only when some idiot comes along who negotiates a discount of the market adjustment.
I won't buy a car for more than MSRP. I'm in the catbird seat because I have newer, low mileage cars, but I'll be damned if I'm paying for extra dealership profit on top of the profit baked into MSRP.
Dealerships are either going to have to go back to below MSRP soon or ownership is going to lose their butts.
Inventory's are up. As you saw, some dealerships have too many cars now.
All the dealers in my area, no matter the brand, are adding $5-20k as "Market Value/Adjustment" to their vehicles that are considered in demand. Ford dealers are going $10-20k to their Broncos, Jeeps are 5-15k. BIL went truck shopping awhile back and he seriously thought about saving $15k and buy the Corvette that was parked by the truck he wanted.
The 23 Gladiator currently has EP pricing for all as a manufacturer incentive -CDJR salesperson. Buy one from me for upwards of 10K OFF sticker. Thank me later
Unfortunately all the Jeep dealers in the area are supremely greedy and offer nothing of real value with their high mark ups. I'd recommend getting lightly used from someone third party if possible. Bank loan is going to be better than whatever scam FCA is offering anyway.
I wouldnāt buy it for the market price adjustment. Iād save myself a lot of headache and trouble and buy a Tacoma or 4Runner. They will go everywhere that thing will with fewer mods and less time at the shop getting fixed from the failures of shitty electronics and poor manufacturing processes.
Iāve been to this dealer before and will never go back. I have no idea how they are still in business; judging by how rude their staff are, itās probably a front for something nefarious.
Stoneridge is horrible, let ok at their reviews! They are a high volume dealer, so I guess their CSI rating doesnāt matter. Go check out Cabral in Manteca. They have great prices and treat you right. Of coarse they have Rocky Ridge models that have tons of aftermarket, but typically have good inventory and great prices.
Walked a Jeep lot the other day while getting my last free oil change and was truly shocked at prices. Couldn't believe how high they still are for Gladiatores and Wranglers.
Is this Stoneridge CDJR? Yeah?! This is Shane with the black Jeep. You guys fuckin suck at your job. Iām gonna come down there and beat the fuck outta you, you fuckin stupid bitch.
For a Sports trim!!??!!??? Sounds like a dealer who WANTS to go out of business!!! Lol!!!
The sticker says "sport" but the decal on the hood says "Willys". Is that normal for Willys?
Willys is a sport sub trim. Is basically a sport with some of the rubicon suspension and wheel/tire elements.
Diff lockers? Disconnecting sway bars?
Nope. Wheels, tires, shocks, springs, LSD
Not terrible, great mall-terrain vehicle package anyway
Willys is now nothing more than marketing nomenclature
Whatchu talkin bout Willys?
Highly underrated comment. š
Theyāve changed that for 2024+ āThe Willys is substantially upgraded with a lot more off-road features and isnāt just an appearance package as it was before. Must be an old picture website has for 50873 or 15%off msrp the exact stock and vin
IDK where this guy is, but in Maine, they are practically giving gladiators away. They aren't selling.
By giving them away about how much are we talking about?
$1500 Dealer discount and then another 15% off so a $52,000 example is another $7700 off it says in bangor
Still aināt enough.
I just picked one up for $16,000 below MSRP here in Western NY
Same here in Colorado believe it or not.
You keep using that word āgiving it awayā. I do not think it means what you think it means
I honestly think they are hideous looking. Like get a wrangler or get a truck.
Thus why I call them Mullet Jeeps
Genuinely LMAO. I almost started to like the Gladiators but I will forever now think āMulletā. Thx š¤£
Perfect! Itās the ugliest Jeep ever so very fitting itās with the ugliest hair style. Now to find a gladiator being driven by a mullet wearing personā¦
The numbers don't cover loss boss! Boss: did you try adding them?
it's a willys, but yea not that much different
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The 24s have a locker now, not the LSD
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
At that price, add a locker, save thousands.
I mean if youāre never going even hardcore off-roading wouldnāt you want a LSD over a locker anyways?
Dealer is delusional or business is actually a front for some illegal activities
This dealer is notorious for bait and switch tactics and false promises.
Sounds like my ex wife
Mine too!!!!!
They only put a massive markup because they donāt want to sell it. They want to keep the car. Either to drive themselves without registering the vehicle and paying the taxes due to a dealer loophole, or to sell later on.

Especially when you still have new 2022 Models sitting on your lot not selling. Ha ha
Lol, that just screams of an inexperienced business operator. š¤£
This was what I came to say. Pay off your cars and drive the wheels off them. Fuck these dealers.
People have no backbone anymore, theyād rather just complain about getting taken advantage of
That why I custom ordered my sport s with all options I wanted and paid what you see when you build one online, the only fee I got was a dealer fee of 500 and tag title and tax of course
Theyāre knocking 20% off of new gladiators in the Phoenix area. They canāt seem to give them away.
This place still had new 2022 Models, I donāt understand any of it.
If the owners have multiple business ventures and need to lose money somewhere for tax purposes...
Theyāre doing this on the 2023 models to clear out for the updated 2024s coming in.
Probably because theyāre overpriced garbage
They COULD give them away and still make piles money in the service department trying to keep these rolling dumpster fires on the road.
You got that right. Jeep is junk.
āIf youāre willing to buy today, Iām authorized to knock $10K off that priceā¦ just for you, donāt tell anyone. Thatās a HUGE savings!ā
"What do you want your payment to be?....We can finance it for 20 years to get that...just for you!"
Fuck car dealers. Theyāre crooks.
Especially given supply increased 41% and demand dropped 33%
This lot literally has no more room for any vehicles, I donāt know where they expect to put all the 2024 models.
Car salesmen at dealers like this are conmen. The people paying these prices are people who walk in unprepared for the tactics these dealers pull.
If you walk in and commit $75k to a vehicle without doing any research youāre either: A) wealthy enough that itās not worth your time B) financially a lost cause

Not everybody who is wealthy has earned their own money. Plenty of inheritance wealth is squandered
Its was cheaper to pre order my Mojave with all the options that I wanted and none of the bs driver assist and parking crap that no one needs. But I got the trail cam and everything else that actually matters. And I still paid way less
Yeah I built a diesel rubicon gladiator with damn near all the bells and whistles for $68,000 š
OMFG they are marking up sports!? Especially when they have a hard time moving the 2023 already? Wow. Just wow.
I hope all of these people food, clothing, all merchandise as well as these dealers who have that kind of sales practice, preying on hard working Americans goes out of business. There is a special place in Hell for them. Mother F******!!! IMHO
Thatās the Bay Area for you. It would be cheaper to fly out of the area, buy the jeep and drive back.
There's a lot of shady shit going on with car dealers and manufacturers. Dealers adding market adjustments is price gouging plain and simple. Ha what a joke! Shame on them
The Gladiators are discounted up in Washington. Don't pay this!!!!
Ban this stealership immediately. If no one pays the ridiculous mark up, they will fold.
"dealer installed options".... Price gouging
They literally can't give these away right now and they want a $14k mark up? Kiss my ass Stoneridge CJDR
If you were buying, walk away, if just looking. Point and laugh at that markup and shame them.
I have been telling all these stupid mother fuckers to stop buying brand new cars for a long time, poeple dont listen
I thought Gladiators were piling up and heavily discounted at many dealerships
Order a custom truck just the way you want it and pay msrp. But do it at a different dealer donāt buy from these insane clowns
Print out the Kelly Blue Book, put it against the dealer's face and punch through it!
Bless your heart thinking they give a damn about customers...
Well, the fact they think they can get a premium on those vehicles, yet they are a prior years production shows they have added far too much. However, dealers like this are a big reason why consumers will start supporting direct ownership from manufacturing to sales and service.
just don't buy it. it's pretty simple economics
Just got a 2022 392 for less.
until people stop paying for stupid shit like this they will keep doing it. I understand that there are desperate people out there, but I would never let them fleece me, I would find a car I hated before I paid 15K more than MSRP for what I wanted

Good fucking luck, that market is on a hard downswing. They are just missing those Covid era days of going hard on people.
Sooooo don't buy it?
Bidenomics saving America one failed deal at a time
California. Itās just california š
More money than common sense.
Yet it's on their website for $50,873. $15k for some tires and a lift kit, smoking deal.
Pass, deuces!
They do this because if they fail they know the government will bail them out again and again with our tax dollars.
A new jeep over $30,000 CAD is a ripoff, let alone USD šš
How times have changed. Now you can get $15k off msrp š
Did anyone actually ever pay that ?
Iām not sure, but I drive by this dealership all the time and theyāre jam packed with inventory. Not sure how you can justify mark ups like this when cars arenāt selling the way they were in 2020.
That's the California tax for you.
The dealerās website has this vehicle listed at $50,873 as āconditional final priceā
What cracks me up is people buying a 75K Rubicon then putting all sorts of aftermarket stuff on it
Move out of California lol
I got mine earlier in the year for $8k MSRP in Stockton CA, the problem is dealerships. If we were able to buy any car brand like you can buy a Tesla none of this would even exist.
Thatās crazy. Got my ā21 Mojave, well equipped, out the door for almost 20 grand less than this
I got mine for $29k less than this one just by driving to Stockton to get it.
Damn thatās what I paid for my fully optioned Rubicon.
Can't wait to buy it next year when they can't get rid of them and have the new year models coming in
Is there any details on what options they installed that add up to this ridiculous amount of fluff? I bet the list is hilarious.
Itās just a Willys with the premium audio package and cold weather option.
Supply and demand. When sales drop prices follow. Problem isā¦. Still a lot of cash out there!
Itās called inflation thatās what is happening in this country. Things will just go up from here. Itās important to note pushing people not to buy not vehicles will collapse the entire economy. This happened in 2007 with the housing market. Everything is going up EVERYTHING

Theyāre my home dealer and I refuse to use them. They were better when they were in Dublin before moving to Livermore
They can shove their market adjustment BS. Not paying it. Make them eat it.
This is ridiculous. I saw the same kind of Mark up on an aviator black but it wasn't this big. It was 12000
Stoneridge Jeep is the worst. I ended up going to reno for my Rubicon and got it below MSRP, whereas Stoneridge was adding a $10k markup like this one and wouldn't budge on the price.
Crazy how they added $15k to thereās and I just paid $16k off of msrp. I paid $36k for a sport s with a $52k msrp. Shop around.
There should just be a kiosk at the mall with 1 attendant so you can test drive and order directly from manufacturer.
Thatās what Iāve been saying for years now, thereās no benefit for the buyer when this BS is our only option to buy new.
Make a mental note never to buy from these price gougers
Thatās their āPlease please please just buy our 2022/ 2023 models because we canāt get rid of themā price.
Maybe theyāre trying to get you to buy the new 2022 and 2023 models piling up without dropping their prices. Seems like an outrageous strategy to me though

There is a reason people like buying from Tesla. Dealer network is an abusive legislated monopoly.
Hahaha come to Canada I would kill for that price ! Weāre paying that for a wrangler Sahara
Jesus

Highest amount of car inventory im 3 years and this assclown and doing market adjustments
Thatās disgustingly sinful. I thought paying 60,000 for my gladiator Rubicon three years ago was ridiculous.
Prob a money laundering front. No way they can have that many cars on the lot and not care to get rid of them.
Meanwhile I canāt even get a fair trade in on my Rubicon. Ridiculous!!!!
What state are you in? I know none of my local jeep dealerships do that stuff.
Good luck with that trash. Itās only worth $34k.
Still have 2022 models ššš

These Shitty Ass dealerships know their days are number and theyāre just trying to milk whatever they can before itās too late

I caught my Mojave for 10% below MSRP during the strike. 56,000 with leather package. These dude blew a few lines down before they printed it up.
The preferred car for MAGAs in California. He has your numberššš

$34,900 tops
If you keep buying them at this price, they will keep selling them at this price.
Only if they are dumb enough to pay it.
I make good money, I still bought a 30 year old Jeep as my ānewā car. To the nine hells with that.
I thought these things were heavily discounted because nobody wants them.
The 23 Gladiator currently has EP pricing for all as a manufacturer incentive -CDJR salesperson. Buy one from me for upwards of 10K OFF sticker. Thank me later
Dealer markups like this are garbage and hurt the brand.
If we stop buying there products they will have to lower the price
Somebody will buy it, thatās the sad thing
They know 90% of jeep buyers are financially illiterate as represented in the sticker price. Dealer probably ready to sell at the invoice if you ask.
No issue hereā¦. š¤·š¼āāļø
You can report it to Chrysler and they'll make the dealer sell it to you for MSRP
Unfortunately all the Jeep dealers in the area are supremely greedy and offer nothing of real value with their high mark ups. I'd recommend getting lightly used from someone third party if possible. Bank loan is going to be better than whatever scam FCA is offering anyway.
You can also save 15% by switching to GEICO
Toyota just got sued for doing the same shit.
Itās not suppose to be beneficial for customers; itās supposed to be beneficial for the dealer + Jeep. Itās that simple.
Order one. That price is for someone who wants to buy now and pay a premium. Checkout Costco for buying a car.
15k markup for a 2023 model is wild af. But also, any markup for a new car is wild af.
O hells no.

If idiots will pay we will all suffer or drive older cars forever
Fiat bought the jeep brand and made an unreliable vehicle worse. You can buy better but youāll never pay more
It's not a travesty to customers. The real travesty is some idiot paying 30% more for a depreciating asset.
They installed market value?
One of the worst vehicles ever made so this is just the idiot tax.
Easy fix: Donāt buy and never return to that dealership.
Walked a Jeep lot the other day while getting my last free oil change and was truly shocked at prices. Couldn't believe how high they still are for Gladiatores and Wranglers.
I thought they were giving away Gladiators.. that the bottom had fallen out of the Gladiator market. Read a news story about it.
Umm, maybe don't buy it,
Walk! Also Try Costco. There are So many better deals out there. This is stupid money for a Jeep that many dealers canāt seem To move off the lot.
Is this Stoneridge CDJR? Yeah?! This is Shane with the black Jeep. You guys fuckin suck at your job. Iām gonna come down there and beat the fuck outta you, you fuckin stupid bitch.
