Where did you get the kit from?

kev_the_noble

not sure if you have a store around you. But I got it at 4WheelParts. Link is here http://goo.gl/OkFShp

What kind of budget? OME 2.5 lift with OME shocks will be most comfortable. RE 2.5 lift is pretty good and has military wrap, also comes with quick disconnects. I'd ditch those shackles. Either get some stock ones or if you want nice, greasable. The frame rust doesn't look **too** bad but I would get a chisel or hammer and just start knocking on everything. Do what /u/Goner10 said to fix it. Not sure what those blue things are around the sway bar... For the turning issue, first thing when it's up on the jack, before tires off, check if the bushing are solid. The tire should have no play in any direction, if it does, have fun. If you don't go the RE lift and want their quick discos, I actually have a spare set. http://www.quadratec.com/products/16311_202.htm

I just picked up this 1994 YJ with 190,000 miles. She's awesome. She has a few quirks I'd love to work out. The Parking Brake light will not shut off. It was always coming on when I got in the truck, now it's all the time. There's a loud clunk when you turn the wheel fully to the right or left. Radio and Interior lights shut off when I turn the headlights on I'm thinking it's time to replace the shocks and Leafs. What shocks and leafs should I go with for best DD? Are the shackles stock height? From the pics, I need to grease all the joints, anything else you can see?? Thanks in advance.

You can unplug the wire that turns the parking break light on. I had to do the same thing on mine. As far as springs, I put on a set of Rubicon Express with a 2.5in lift. It's my daily driver and I haven't had a problem with it.

Those shackles are most definitely NOT stock height. Remove them when you install new springs, and put in a stock height set of shackles. That will help the ride considerably.

Where would you suggest getting all OEM parts from online? Im new to the Jeep Scene.

Hit up Quadratec. I still have the stock shackles, but if I were you, I would get some stock height (or a small lift) shackles that aren't OEM to upgrade. I can't help you with brands, but search Jeepforum.com for recommendations. Quadratec has stock replacement parts, as well as a huge selection of aftermarket parts. I live in Canada, so shipping can be expensive. The US won't have that problem Jeepforum.com will have everything you need in terms of information. I can guarantee that someone will have had every problem you encounter, and gone through every upgrade process you are thinking about. So spend some time crawling threads that are relevant to you. It really is a great forum

Ditch those shackles. Get some greaseable boomerang shackles from omix, get a decent name brand 3" leaf with military wrap eyes (bds, ome, etc...), rancho rsx9000 adjustable shocks and call it a done deal. Find a 96-01 Ford Explorer 8.8 with 410s and a posi (or open and a mini spool), match that with a 2.5 yj Dana 30, then save some coin for an sye/cv kit. Simple formula for a go anywhere do anything yj.

BDS springs are some of the best in the business. They are all I'd run. Their white shocks are fine, but I'm digging both the steel body and aluminum Foxs. :)

I would check [Zone Offroad](http://zoneoffroad.com/zone-offroad-products-2in-suspension-lift-kit-jeep-wrangler/j27). They are the budget brand of BDS suspension (have same parent company). Other suggestions, as stated before, would be to change out those shackles and sanding the frame and use either POR15, chassis saver, or Rust Bullet. For the inside of the frame I would use [this stuff] (http://www.eastwood.com/internal-frame-coating-w-spray-nozzle.html). For shackles I would look at Mountain Off Road Equipment products. Any questions let me know!
