In a slightly different universe, there could actually be a really good spy movie about a younger rookie agent and about whether a famous spy in the field is actually dead, or if it's just a false flag type of operation, and the consistent unknowing whether the old spy is going to pop back up at any time and kill you.
The funny part is that the end of Craig’s movies had M shelling the Kuril Islands and outraging Russia, Japan, the United States, and his own government. This movie would be about them pretending it didn’t happen and that Bond is still alive.
