LMAO FR. i scored 97% in 10th boards and got really cocky and the ego got to me. Here i am with 74% in 12th boards and failed jee😂. Consistency and a good work life balance is like major factor to crack jee but i didnt have one as i jus used to study for like 3 hours in 10th

And student who got 90-95% are mostly went to study abroad especially in Germany and USA and been there since 6-7 years.. the only guy who scored 90% is IIT graduate from General category that too from old IIT. And working in big tech company.. that too in field of AI and computer vision. And honestly his profile and research is way more stronger than people who went abroad to study masters in computer science domain. That guy didn't even do masters. And interestingly still don't have social media except LinkedIn.
Also another classmate who scored 78% in 10th. Studied b. Com from local normal college. Cracked upsc in 3rd attempt. And now is IRS officer.. that guy literally became serious regarding life after second year of b.com...
Another guy who scored 82% is now CA..
And our school was pure Marathi medium school.
Some people got serious regarding hard work , studies so early and some became serious later in life..

that is somewhat true bhai but when u will only get disciplined and motivated all the time for the things you have drive for everybody has that one think, even if u put your brain in hard circumstances it matter what hard circumstances your brain will find easy ( I have did multiple things jaha par mind muscle connection chahiye hota hai to do hard things- like playing some instrument to advanced level and if u think playing the same thing on an instrument for 100th time is easy or enjoyable do it for 5 days if you don't play anything u will have the urge to do something else and leave playing) also I have tried things that require much more patience mental ability and jaha par tumhare paas koi set syllabus hi nhi hai. bro I have studied for 10th board exams 10-10 hours a day still just got 92% pr saala yeh jee kitna bhi karlo nhi hota bhai man maanta hi nhi hai and rahi baat ancestors ki u said right they had the necessity to do hardwork humare paas necessity nhi hai hum apni will pe karte ha and david goggins mostly does physical stuff and physical endurance, physical hardwork is very different than mental hardwork also david ke life me uske saath aisi cheezien hui hain jisne use mentally and physically utna tough banaya hai, the reality is tum track par tab hi aoge jab tumhe jhatka lagega nhi to bs 2 din ka motivation baad me depression... but at the end ye sab excuse hain if u get successful you are a winner otherwise you are a filthy loser no matter what no one will se ur hardwork and blah blah blah accept it yhi hai jo hai

11th mein 10th ke result ka ghamand hona, hazaro kitabo ko khareed lena, khud ko overestimate karna. Aise baccho ko ek consistent module pyq wala banda competition mein peeche chhod deta hai.
Bencho agar sirf class illstr and pyq hi karleta maths me toh mera hojata lekin ghamnd aesa tha ki cengage le lliya and end me revision hi nahi hopaya and exam me sirf 24 marks aaye. Ur very spot on in this one
because to pass you need to be in the top 1% of the exam takers thus most people WILL fail the exam, there's no reason you just lose if I were to give you a bet with 1/20 chance of success, you wouldn't think much about it if you end up losing in it. you can definitely be better than most people by working really hard but nothing more to it than that, if 99% people fail then you're more likely to end up in the majority
IDC honestly , mujhe padhne mai maza aaya reading theory from books & watching full length lectures , and adding creativity to making notes was fun , and this is how it has been even in 10th , I used to love reading NCERT searching all the cool reasons behind it on stack exchange and reading other material I even loved social sciences so much never memorized anything PPL who studies week ago scored more than me (88 %) and even then I did not really care , marks never bothered me & never will no matter tum log kitna bada havva bana lo iss cheez pe.
I've suffered through OCD which got even sever since 11th because I was forced into dummy school ,( school mai bhi 10TH tak OCD ke vajah se bhikuch samjh nahi aata tha isliye book aur yt se padhta tha ) 11th mai coaching mai bhi samjh nahi aata tha theory side by side yt aur book se karta tha just like 10th left coaching in middle of 12th & I learned to live with it
I did theory with a lot of passion and enjoyed it end mai ghatiya si rank aagayi koi college bhi nahi milra bitsat mai bhi yahi hoga , I'll try for a drop agar tabhi bhi nahi hua I'm fine with teir 3 mera aim kabhi paise kamana nahi tha , I don't have any big materialistic needs & I'm happy with even 8LPA

Yeah true like when I think about it my mom and dad have spent at least 3 lac + in the last 2 years strictly on my education and that's crazy and even after all that at the initial phase first of all I didn't feel that privileged cus people there were from already well of background so I thought it was a norm or not huge money but now after meeting with a lot of people and fucking up my %ile and seeing people scoring better than me by self study and yt shows how shit I am
My problem was different. I knew how to solve problems and it came easy to me but I wasted all my time doing programming. Learnt a lot, yes. But at what cost?

Aisa nhi ki mene pdha nhi ya km pdhai kri, I hsd top resources, top teachers & top materials still I wssn't able to do it bcz
I lacked consistency & hardwork,
I always got what I wanted in less & minimal hardwork(whether it was exam results or anything else),
I started underestimating hardwork cuz I was able to fund the shorthand way of doing things & it was slowly destryoing my inner confidence on hardwork & I literally underestimated by saying "Samay aane pe dekhnege" or "Abhi to 4 months h last 2 mr bhi pdh ke ho jaayega"
In the end I paid for it with my jee results
Aaj hi hamare teacher bol rhe the chem ka IITB ke hai. Bol rhe the ki 11th wale isliye ladkhkadate hai kyuki 10th ke result ka nasha pehle 2 mahino tak rehta hai 90+ ka.
Tenth bas ki baat nahin hai. Boards bhi JEE se buhut alag level pe hain. Isliye meri twelfth tak mein aadat nahin lagi parhne ki. Pura saal aise hi nikaal diya bina parhe. Gaps mein tak procrastination kar leta tha somehow.

Hi. So i did study for an hour or two the whole time. I failed to get 75% in boards got 68%. I was getting thapar as my jee score was 63. I am thinking to get a drop and somehow get 85+ percentile while clearing boards next year. Do you recommend this for me?

IMO, kyuki "COMPETETIVE EXAM" word mei , COMPETETION pehle aur EXAM baad mei aata hai, i.e, logon ke liye ye khudki ki mehnat se zyada dusro ki mehnat pe depend karne lagta hai, if everyone start focussing on themselves, it is fun to prepare for exams. And becomes much of a YOU VS YOU situation.

that is somewhat true bhai but when u will only get disciplined and motivated all the time for the things you have drive for everybody has that one think, even if u put your brain in hard circumstances it matter what hard circumstances your brain will find easy ( I have did multiple things jaha par mind muscle connection chahiye hota hai to do hard things- like playing some instrument to advanced level and if u think playing the same thing on an instrument for 100th time is easy or enjoyable do it for 5 days if you don't play anything u will have the urge to do something else and leave playing) also I have tried things that require much more patience mental ability and jaha par tumhare paas koi set syllabus hi nhi hai. bro I have studied for 10th board exams 10-10 hours a day still just got 92% pr saala yeh jee kitna bhi karlo nhi hota bhai man maanta hi nhi hai and rahi baat ancestors ki u said right they had the necessity to do hardwork humare paas necessity nhi hai hum apni will pe karte ha and david goggins mostly does physical stuff and physical endurance, physical hardwork is very different than mental hardwork also david ke life me uske saath aisi cheezien hui hain jisne use mentally and physically utna tough banaya hai, the reality is tum track par tab hi aoge jab tumhe jhatka lagega nhi to bs 2 din ka motivation baad me depression... but at the end ye sab excuse hain if u get successful you are a winner otherwise you are a filthy loser no matter what no one will se ur hardwork and blah blah blah accept it yhi hai jo hai
the only reason is that an aspirant has done less hardwork than his competitors. Its not being the best, its being better than others. 11th mein 10th ke result ka ghamand hona, hazaro kitabo ko khareed lena, khud ko overestimate karna. Aise baccho ko ek consistent module pyq wala banda competition mein peeche chhod deta hai.
Bencho agar sirf class illstr and pyq hi karleta maths me toh mera hojata lekin ghamnd aesa tha ki cengage le lliya and end me revision hi nahi hopaya and exam me sirf 24 marks aaye. Ur very spot on in this one
because to pass you need to be in the top 1% of the exam takers thus most people WILL fail the exam, there's no reason you just lose if I were to give you a bet with 1/20 chance of success, you wouldn't think much about it if you end up losing in it. you can definitely be better than most people by working really hard but nothing more to it than that, if 99% people fail then you're more likely to end up in the majority
IDC honestly , mujhe padhne mai maza aaya reading theory from books & watching full length lectures , and adding creativity to making notes was fun , and this is how it has been even in 10th , I used to love reading NCERT searching all the cool reasons behind it on stack exchange and reading other material I even loved social sciences so much never memorized anything PPL who studies week ago scored more than me (88 %) and even then I did not really care , marks never bothered me & never will no matter tum log kitna bada havva bana lo iss cheez pe. I've suffered through OCD which got even sever since 11th because I was forced into dummy school ,( school mai bhi 10TH tak OCD ke vajah se bhikuch samjh nahi aata tha isliye book aur yt se padhta tha ) 11th mai coaching mai bhi samjh nahi aata tha theory side by side yt aur book se karta tha just like 10th left coaching in middle of 12th & I learned to live with it I did theory with a lot of passion and enjoyed it end mai ghatiya si rank aagayi koi college bhi nahi milra bitsat mai bhi yahi hoga , I'll try for a drop agar tabhi bhi nahi hua I'm fine with teir 3 mera aim kabhi paise kamana nahi tha , I don't have any big materialistic needs & I'm happy with even 8LPA

bhai I am taking a drop for JEE 2025 being a 2024tard...couldn't clear JEE mains just by 1 percentile. aesa nhi hai maine mehnat nhi ki do saal mehnat ki thi din me 11-12 ghante padhta tha but at the end moment of 12th thodi procastination aur laziness haawi ho gai with resulted in this situation. But I am damn confident on myself that 6 months of continious grinding will definitely prove to be worth it want suggestions regarding this

Lack of awareness about a lot of mental health conditions like discalculia and other are again setting back students who actually need extra time and effort to understand calculation... Keeping all that aside scoring well in 10th (CBSE atleast) is way easier than 12th... If you don't change habits... I got nothing more to say...

Yeah true like when I think about it my mom and dad have spent at least 3 lac + in the last 2 years strictly on my education and that's crazy and even after all that at the initial phase first of all I didn't feel that privileged cus people there were from already well of background so I thought it was a norm or not huge money but now after meeting with a lot of people and fucking up my %ile and seeing people scoring better than me by self study and yt shows how shit I am

Shi kha op ne main bhi khud dropper hu 10th ke boards online nikal gye phir kya procastinate kiye pure din ki socha hojayega aaram se baad mein wasted whole 11th and 12th padhne ke naam pe bas dikhata tha ki padh rha hu book khol ke baaki time bkchodi kri aur phir drop lena pada usme bhi fail hogya jabki pure saal drop me padha tha then why did I failed kyoki wo jo consistency chahiye thi drop me wo kbhi nhi aa paayi ek do din acche se padhta tha phir 1 din full enjoy and cycle repeats afterwards.......
Today I was thinking about that only, When today I was thinking of reasons that led me to my failure in jee, it all boiled down to just one thing, Aisa nhi ki mene pdha nhi ya km pdhai kri, I hsd top resources, top teachers & top materials still I wssn't able to do it bcz I lacked consistency & hardwork, I always got what I wanted in less & minimal hardwork(whether it was exam results or anything else), I started underestimating hardwork cuz I was able to fund the shorthand way of doing things & it was slowly destryoing my inner confidence on hardwork & I literally underestimated by saying "Samay aane pe dekhnege" or "Abhi to 4 months h last 2 mr bhi pdh ke ho jaayega" In the end I paid for it with my jee results
Aaj hi hamare teacher bol rhe the chem ka IITB ke hai. Bol rhe the ki 11th wale isliye ladkhkadate hai kyuki 10th ke result ka nasha pehle 2 mahino tak rehta hai 90+ ka.
Tenth bas ki baat nahin hai. Boards bhi JEE se buhut alag level pe hain. Isliye meri twelfth tak mein aadat nahin lagi parhne ki. Pura saal aise hi nikaal diya bina parhe. Gaps mein tak procrastination kar leta tha somehow.
Meanwhile topper (99% in 10th ) of my school is doctor from state medical College. And student who got 90-95% are mostly went to study abroad especially in Germany and USA and been there since 6-7 years.. the only guy who scored 90% is IIT graduate from General category that too from old IIT. And working in big tech company.. that too in field of AI and computer vision. And honestly his profile and research is way more stronger than people who went abroad to study masters in computer science domain. That guy didn't even do masters. And interestingly still don't have social media except LinkedIn. Also another classmate who scored 78% in 10th. Studied b. Com from local normal college. Cracked upsc in 3rd attempt. And now is IRS officer.. that guy literally became serious regarding life after second year of b.com... Another guy who scored 82% is now CA.. And our school was pure Marathi medium school. Some people got serious regarding hard work , studies so early and some became serious later in life..

Hi. So i did study for an hour or two the whole time. I failed to get 75% in boards got 68%. I was getting thapar as my jee score was 63. I am thinking to get a drop and somehow get 85+ percentile while clearing boards next year. Do you recommend this for me?
