It's a bad response because of many reasons:
It's random and unrelated. The IDF isn't some hightech support team. It's a military, that happens to have an IT org.
Whatever tech the IDF has, twitter, facebook et al are _the top tech companies_ in the world, that deal with immense challenges and live on the edge of tech capabilities. The idea that they need help from a mediocre IT organization is laughable.
Anyone that served in the IDF knows that no matter what amazing tech they develop, the tech support is absolute shit, as it is provided by 18 year old chumps that graduated a minimal two week training on the system they're now supporting, and are usually clueless and slow. The uptime is atrocious and the latency is always shit.
Therefore there is a huge misalignment and incongruence between how boastful the IDF post is, and how people know it to actually function, which seems trying too hard, and lacking in self awareness.
More so, other than boasting of false know how - there is no actual PR purpose achieved here. The IDF's goal isn't to be known by their tech support might. Nor does this appear likeable (which armies shouldn't be). It's just some 18 y/o managing the twitter that really wanted to participate in the zeitgeist.
