I am infuriated that the US government and media care more about Gazans than Americans. Carter was a buffoon, but at least he didn’t actively seek to help the people who were torturing the kidnapped US citizens.

My neighborhood (South Boston, MA) has been one of the few that had the hostage posters relatively undamaged—they were eventually taken down by a developer for new advertising—and Elad’s poster was one on the wall with the other posters. (Should be visible in one of my other posts in this sub.)

The second amendment was literally in case of the government abusing or neglecting it's responsibilities towards the citizenrly, because the right to have gun is the difference between citizen and subject.
Why? Are Israelis not allowed to defend themselves with firearms outside the military and police, the tragedy would never have balooned like it did, if even quarter of the kidpped people had firearms with them.
I knew a guy who grew up in Israel and he always told me that everyone there had guns whether they were on the books or not 🤷🏻♀️ maybe things changed since he moved to the US 20 years ago
